The Geocaching Adventures of TeamHellhound

Turns out geocaching is fun. And a bit addictive (at least for the human team member). As a bonus, we are getting some exercise, walking around looking for caches.

One of our first finds last spring.

Another early find.

Mosquitoes and giant spiders, oh my! They got to sit and wait while I crawled through the scrub for this one.

Sightseeing and geocaching.... all in one trip.

Leo decided she needed to give this one a thorough investigation. Sadly, there were no dog treats, just a log and some trade items.

Nobody wanted to look at the camera. At least the one on the rocks has the excuse of being cast in bronze, and therefore unable to turn his head.

See the little bump about 12 feet up on the light pole my car is against? I don't like heights. I don't like climbing on things. Was finally logging that cache, that I'd located months ago, worth it? Yes. Yes it was.

What heights will you go to for a geocache? by Rosemary Elwell, on Flickr

Once I have a few pennies to rub together, the girls are getting registered with GeoPup Sports, and I'll be submitting for some titles.

So cool.

Our lot is on a corner and abuts up against the subdivision sign and landscaping. So of course, I get to do the weeding when I get to it, which is only about twice a year. Fairly recently I found a styrofoam cup carefully hidden in the rocks out there. Its top was taped shut and it had something clunking around in it. I left it there and didn't open it, but wondered if it had something to do with a scavenger hunt or geocache.

I'm not sure it's still there; I'll have to go look.

Winning.

Uh-huh.

Well, I guess I can see it. But the question to me is whether he's winning by grabbing a basketball everyone else is going for, or if it's after the victory and the bottom guys are holding him on their shoulders.
