I have no clue what order NoBite is going to post the pics, but there is a pic of my Dry Pond, Dominic and Princess Lily Belle. One pic of the neighbors DD's (well, at least 2 of the A-holes). The black Dane pup seems okay. I hope NB blows that pic up, so you can actually see their partial pack of dogs. But, if not, you can at least see I take pride in my property and the neighbors don't.

cresserb and Bug , How many days from the chicken would you start calling a egg old?
Mmmm--well the eggs I used to get when I lived down the street from a chicken farm (factory?, ranch?) were only three or four days old (mostly what they sold to people like me were "check" eggs--fertile and they had to be a few days old before they could tell the egg had been fertilized (as I understand it) but I don't grow chickens or eggs--this is left over from my very young childhood when I was the designated egg gatherer for my grandmother.

And the ones I've gotten lately have been very fresh--a day or two only.

But I can tell you that eggs will keep a whole lot longer than dated cartons in stores would indicate. When I was going on deliveries (of boats) we'd buy cartons of eggs with the best buy dates the furthest out --which were mostly around two or three weeks but even 6 weeks after we got those eggs they were still fine--but we'd run out and I'd have to go egg shopping (with my bad to non-existent Spanish--I did learn that in Mexico eggs are sold by weight not by the number of eggs. It was on par with learning that while you could find and buy honey you had to bring your own container).

And it has started to rain so I guess that means I'll postpone mowing the back lawn until it dries out. Supposed to do that starting tomorrow and continues to the end of the week I think.

That's the weather and egg report for today.

This is a USAC Midget - Smaller than a Sprinter and LOTS less horse power - they put on a good show ! Worked on a Midget team for around 5 years, traveled everywhere with it .

Bug - This is a Silver Crown Car or Champ car - Champ car comes from back in the day - like back in the 50 early 60'smaybe - they raced these type cars at Indy - like I said way back in the day ! They are BOATS ! huge ! have a 355 CI. engine in them - run them on Half miles and Mile tracks for the most part and they hold75 gallon of methanol ! I got to load one , one time - all I had to do was steer it in to the trailer - Driver was not there and I was the only one that could fit in his seat - LOL Yes -I was Slim - LOL These are also very fun to watch :grin2:
Thanks, Kenny, for the short course on racers--I suspected that the thing I was calling a box kite (didn't know what else to call it) on top had something to do with both stability and speed.

Too bad I didn't find out about them when I was a lot younger--they are kind of my cup of tea--a lot of heart stopping stuff happening fast. I only got interested in the NASCAR racing when one of the woman who had a dog bred by the breeder I was (sort of) working for at shows--she was a long time NASCAR addict--sucked me into watching races with her. Found myself holding my breath watching some car trying to stay on the track while sliding backwards into the grass...

So now you are really on count down for your new lil' girl--have you finally decided on a call name? And has Cindy decided on a registered name?

Have you started waking up at night wondering what you've forgotten to do, to get or to ask about?

VBG--been there, done thant--good luck.

Been another hot one here in East Central Indiana to day --- Dewpoint 73 + it was 94 - outflow boundary from BIG storm to the north cooled us down to 85 ! Was ---- Key word -- WAS -- going to finish up spraying beans - wanting to wrap this up before little girl gets here - But as I started to spray -alarm was beeping - drive line fault - went there everything and if all fails - shut it off and let it reboot - re-fire - still no go - and I was stuck in first gear , call Hagie guy , said shift sensor had failed -- insert bad words here - So had to drive back over the shop at 6.6 mph :frown3:Hagie guy will be here around 5 to fit it . Most times - I would fire back up and get it done - but need about a hour to be rain fast , Pop ups all around us dumping big rain amounts , these FLA storms just sit there and don't move then rain themselves out . Just sat back down out here , phone rang -a good friend - he said he was hauling big round bales past the farm and a strap broke and 5 -- 1,500 lb bales are now out in my bean field - He was worried and I was laughing - I told him don't worry about it ! Just be thankful they went into the field and not into a car . He said he would pay any damages , but I'm not to worried about the damages , can't be much . So now - I guess its close enough to Miller time to call it Miller time :grin2:

TN - that was nice of them to do for your family - But its hard for me to look at . :frown3:

When I unwrapped the clay paw print, that's when it really hit me. Earlier today, I told Mrs. TN to get out of the house and go visit one of her friends so she could get her mind off of it some, so she hasn't seen these yet.

Judging from our weather, your heat isn't going to go away soon, Ken. We're supposed to be low 90's and bright sun at least through Monday, and only dropping to 60 or so at night, which isn't quite enough to cool us down for the following day (no air-conditioning here).

We've had a few thunderstorms sweep through the last couple of days (which are purely hit and miss), but even those are going to go away, apparently.

....in other words, no end in sight.

Sometimes those rough shocks, as painful as they are, really help the grieving process. That's not much consolation at the present, I know....

TN - Coco foot print, is an absolute "memory treasure" / lots of Love, in that Vet Clinic.
- we did Amy's clay foot print to

But what I always do in winter, is wait for a nice fresh snow fall...of wet packing snow.
- and when let our girl out, for morning potty...her foot prints are vividly clear in detail
- walking across the front cement porch / in perfect 3D
- and I snap a reminder "foot print photo"

Will be a nice surprise for MrsTN, to cherish a Life of fun doggy times. :roses:

Over the years whenever i have poured concrete it gets doggy foot prints.
I have one of my past two dobes in a wash room , i let both out for a late night pee and discovered in the morning that they found it..nothing to be upset about.
I have a walk at work that daisy girl just walked up and down , it was a big pour that my girl was my helper and i was too exhausted to go pack and fix.
They are now always nice to see!

I have to drop Red Boy off for Blood work. Check for heart worms and looking for anything unusual. He has gained weight lately which has me concerned.
I am also going to have a front leg x-ray done. He has been limping off and on for about 4 weeks. I rubbed and manipulated his leg in every way possible and a few that are not possible to try and get a reaction from him...nothing! I worked him out this weekend and got him limping again and may have discovered his issue. It seems like it is one of his toes high up , he reacted to. No swelling anywhere , just a limp:| He has always been a solid dog and trying not to be bothered but i am!

That was fast. Got a call from our vet this morning that Coco's ashes were back already. And this was really nice of them, they paid to get us a clay paw print and a vial of Coco's hair.
I can not believe you got his ashes and footprint back that fast!

Wow!

I had to wait a week for Axel to come back.

I didn't even know they provided the footprint services until Axel. It is a nice thing for a vet to do. Going the extra mile, in my opinion.

When my cousin had Twister put down they gave her a hoof print.

Get ready for a good Mrs TN cry when you show her.

Why are you so mean to me?

Red boy, with life jacket, in a boat.

You must not realize that I have puppy fever, like really bad.

Well, I do!

:|

My brother's step grand puppy, Damen, got me all fired up!
