I have no clue what order NoBite is going to post the pics, but there is a pic of my Dry Pond, Dominic and Princess Lily Belle. One pic of the neighbors DD's (well, at least 2 of the A-holes). The black Dane pup seems okay. I hope NB blows that pic up, so you can actually see their partial pack of dogs. But, if not, you can at least see I take pride in my property and the neighbors don't.

Spock,

Patience, Grasshopper!

Tell Baby Bear I said hey....(with a hair twirl) ....:x
Yea Yea yea...with a hair fling, bat the eye lashes, "headlights beaming" under slightly ajar tank top, a wiggle in your step & a margarita in your hand...and don't forget the big flashy smile...>:)...pearly whites, with a seduction tongue lick across your 2 front teeth.

Mrs 67
She creates scents from heaven
Oh thank god for Mrs67!

:grin2:
When babyAndrew was only one week old, Mrs67 & Papa had to do our banking.
- the teller went go-go-ga-ga over our newborn
- even at a very young age, he was even cuter than the baby photo on the Pamper Dipper bag
- without a hesitation, the young lady said with a big grin...looking at Beau
"I can see, you gave him your best shot"...made me feel pretty dame good and we had a big laugh, in the bank

Co-workers that only know Nancy, thinks Andrew looks like his mom.
Co-workers that only know Larry, always thought Andrew looks like me.
- as his parents, he differently got each of our best traits :grin2:

How was Thanksgiving Beau? Oh....yours is on a different date.
Our Thanksgiving is a month early...in Canada.

- I posted a BabyBear photo tonight ^^ you see it, LDi ?
- or is margarita, kicked in too much now :2surprise:

Good morning everyone!

Seems like a nice day to go for a ride - Take Mila with us and explore more of the area. Currently 48 degs with highs mid 60's and no rain.

Have been considering moving last few years. Looking for a bit more privacy but then it does put us out from town and my work.
But hard to find that perfect spot for a decent price :grin2:

I also have to make bread this weekend for our wine group's Christmas party. The host is making the meat course and the rest of us bring dishes. My wife is doing a potato dish, not sure what kind....maybe au gratin something. :2smile: . For the bread - maybe Challah bread or rolls made out of same dough. Or Brioche rolls.

Lawyers should never ask a Georgia grandma a question if they aren't prepared for the answer.

In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, 'Mrs. Jones, do you know me?' She responded, 'Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you'll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you.'

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, 'Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?'
She again replied, 'Why yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him.'
The defense attorney nearly died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice, said,
'If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you both to the electric chair.

That is funny...

Of course it reminded me of a song!

Lyrics - The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia
He was on his way home from Candletop
Been two weeks gone and he thought he'd stop
At Web's and have him a drink for he went home to her
Andy Wo-Lo said hello
He said "Hi what's new"
And Wo said "Sit down I got some bad news that's gonna hurt"
Said I'm your best friend and you know that's right
But your young bride ain't home tonight
Since you been gone she's been seeing that Amos boy Seth
Now, he got mad and he saw red
Andy said boy don't you lose your head
'Cause to tell you the truth I've been with her myself

That's the night that the lights went out in Georgia
That's the night that they hung an innocent man
Well, don't trust your soul to no backwoods Southern lawyer
Cause the judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hands

Andy got scared and left the bar
Walkin' on home cause he didn't live far you see
Andy didn't have many friends and he just lost him one
Brother thought his wife must've left town
So he went home and finally found the only thing
Daddy had left him and that was a gun
He went off to Andy's house
Slipping through the backwoods quiet as a mouse
Came upon some tracks too small for Andy to make

He looked through the screen at the back porch door
And he saw Andy lyin' on the floor
In a puddle of blood and he started to shake

Georgia patrol was making their rounds
So he fired a shot just to flag em down
A big bellied sheriff grabbed his gun and said
"Why'd you do it?"

The judge said guilty on a make-believe trial
Slapped the sheriff on the back with a smile
Said supper's waitin' at home and I gotta get to it

That's the night the lights went out in Georgia
That's the night that they hung an innocent man
Well, don't trust your soul to no backwoods Southern lawyer
Cause the judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hands

Well, they hung my brother before I could say
The tracks he saw while on his way
To Andy's house and back that night were mine
And his cheatin' wife had never left town
That's one body that'll never be found
You see little sister don't miss when she aims her gun

That's the night the lights went out in Georgia
That's the night that they hung an innocent man
Well, don't trust your soul to no backwoods Southern lawyer
Cause the judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hands

That's the night the lights went out in Georgia
That's the night that they hung an innocent man
Well, don't trust your soul to no backwoods Southern lawyer
Cause the judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hands

Lyrics Ode to Billie Joe

It was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
I was out choppin' cotton, and my brother was balin' hay
And at dinner time we stopped and walked back to the house to eat
And mama hollered out the back door, y'all, remember to wipe your feet
And then she said, I got some news this mornin' from Choctaw Ridge
Today, Billy Joe MacAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge

And papa said to mama, as he passed around the blackeyed peas
Well, Billy Joe never had a lick of sense; pass the biscuits, please
There's five more acres in the lower forty I've got to plow
And mama said it was shame about Billy Joe, anyhow
Seems like nothin' ever comes to no good up on Choctaw Ridge
And now Billy Joe MacAllister's jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge

And brother said he recollected when he, and Tom, and Billie Joe
Put a frog down my back at the Carroll County picture show
And wasn't I talkin' to him after church last Sunday night?
I'll have another piece-a apple pie; you know, it don't seem right
I saw him at the sawmill yesterday on Choctaw Ridge
And now ya tell me Billie Joe's jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge

And mama said to me, child, what's happened to your appetite?
I've been cookin' all morning, and you haven't touched a single bite
That nice young preacher, Brother Taylor, dropped by today
Said he'd be pleased to have dinner on Sunday, oh, by the way
He said he saw a girl that looked a lot like you up on Choctaw Ridge
And she and Billy Joe was throwing somethin' off the Tallahatchie Bridge

A year has come and gone since we heard the news 'bout Billy Joe
And brother married Becky Thompson; they bought a store in Tupelo
There was a virus going 'round; papa caught it, and he died last spring
And now mama doesn't seem to want to do much of anything
And me, I spend a lot of time pickin' flowers up on Choctaw Ridge
And drop them into the muddy water off the Tallahatchie Bridge

Lannie, welcome back! Glad you made it through the blizzard. Great to read your daily morning epilogues again. :2smile: (BTW, your pics are real tiny...)

Don't let what your read on this crazy thread every get you down, we're all a little whacked just for staying with it for over 25.6K posts! :lala:

CT members enjoy teasing each other some with some back and forth banter.
If it was me that made you feel down with my sophmoric humor attempts, then I apologize... :2smile:

...If not, then it must have been SP, she scares off lots of CT newbies!..... :grin2:
It wasn't you guys, quit worrying! I have a well-developed sense of humor, and I can handle everything from sarcasm to weirdly sick and twisted, LOL!

I'm guessing I need to ask Rich to make the pics bigger when he sends them to me then. They show up big on the other forum we're both on, when posted as attachments. I used to have Photobucket but they took all my pictures and I refuse to pay the ransom, so I don't have a photo hosting site anymore. I doubt the other ones are much better, and besides it would be so much work, and so much time I don't have, to move all my pictures over to another site. The attachments are easier, for me, so I'll see if I can get them to be a little bigger.

Hey, I've got a sure fire cure for your evening blues on the couch....

Git You Another One of These....

Gah, you're breaking my heart. She did that EXACT thing! I guess they all do. It must be something they learn in Dobie school.

Or Even One of These for SD Wx.... :grin2:

Yeah, no thanks! I have one hairy dog already and her prey drive is high. Huskies are through the ROOF! Although I do like Huskies I would never have one with all these small animals (and poultry) on the place. Nah, I need a Dobie.

Thanks Bug ! Is there anyway you could send a picture to ? Say Mel ? If you don't care -And she could maybe put it up here . I am 99.9 % sure everybody on here would love to see him .

I beat you have a million stories we would love hearing ! :wink2::grin2:
I would love to see pictures of Toad, too. I've never seen him. I'm sure there must be pics somewhere on the forum, but I've never come across one. :)

Well?

Got a skunk problem.

It's under the house or in the attic.

Yeah! Such fun!

:nicejob:

Got to spend money on a professional skunk catcher. I don't want to know what he does with it after that.

Mister and I don't have time for that.
He's under the house. Skunks don't usually go UP. They go down. If you go around your foundation and look carefully, I'll bet you find a little access hole. Probably behind a shrub.

If you want to try catching him yourself, I can tell you a pretty safe way to do it, but you need a live trap. First, find his (or her) access hole, then set the live trap near it with a can of cat food in the back. The skunk will go in to eat the cat food, they LOVE canned cat food. Then slowly and carefully, put a tarp over the trap so IF he gets scared and sprays, it will go on the tarp and not on you. At that point, what we do is carry the trap out to an open area, tip it up and let the skunk tumble out, then shoot it. It has to be a head or a spine shot, or it will spray. If you don't want to (or can't for some reason) shoot it, just take it nice and slow out somewhere far from your house and open the front of the trap and let it go.

We had a bad skunk problem several years back (had a "she" and she had babies), so we borrowed a live trap and dispatched almost all of them. (Don't yell at me, the babies were grown up by then.) None of them sprayed while they were in the trap covered by the tarp. They just curled up and waited to be let loose. Anyway, that's what the professional guy will do, so you can pay him or do it yourself if you feel up to it.

Hey, do you have a County Trapper in your area? We called ours and he's the one who showed us what to do and loaned us the live trap. He also trapped a bunch of foxes we were having problems with as well. Then we got the dogs (the Pyrenees) and haven't had a fox problem since. We still get the odd skunk passing through, but they don't stay, so it's not a huge problem anymore. Once every couple years maybe one of the dogs will get skunked because they're STOOPID and they have to chase. Missy is the worst, and she has long hair, so it takes a bit of effort to deskunk her. Zipper, being short-coated, was easy to deodorize.

If you don't already know this, here's the formula for deskunking:

Half a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in a large bowl or bucket.
Handful of baking soda.
Big healthy squirt of Dawn dish liquid (to degrease the skunk oil).

Mix that together with your hand and use a rag to sop it all over the dog (or whomever) where the spray hit, then use a clean wet cloth and follow up with a clean dry cloth. It would get 100% of the smell off Zipper and it gets about 99% off Missy. Missy will still smell a bit eau d'skunk for a couple days, but it's not horrible. ;)

Good morning :)
I have no idea what brioche rolls are (I'm such a rube lol ). Now the Hawaiian rolls, yep, one of my faves and you can't go wrong there.

I'm feeling out of sorts this morning...got my flu shot yesterday and that baby hurt like the dickens, feels like Mike Tyson punched me in the arm. I talked to the doc about the shingles shot; last year I got the old shingles shot which is a single shot only but my wife got the 2-series shot a few months ago. The doc says the old one is only 50% effective and the new one is about 90%. So I had the choice yesterday to get both shots or only the flu shot and the doc said if I don't get both at the same time I have to wait at least 28 days after the flu shot to get the first shingles shot. It may have been ok but I didn't want 2 vaccines at the same time so I'll go back later. And I will go back because I know a couple of folks who got the shingles and it's not pretty.

In other news, it's chilly and cloudy here this morning in middle TN; I'm debating if me and my sore shoulder want to go for a hike with Mocha. She's standing here beside me giving me "that look" so I'll probably break down and take her, I know with all the rain we've had lately she isn't getting the exercise she needs and Lord knows I can use a bit of exercise myself ;)

And then I see some college football in my future :2smile:

Great story time Lannie.

Some drop skunk cage in a tub of water...no gun needed, in city.

On skunk spray, we use the following...it works greater, than any vet stuff.
- also used to kill sewer backup smell
- car detailers, use to remove cig smell on car lots
- many household uses, spray on furnace filters to make house smell fresh

:smileystooges:

You CT Coug Gals are just too smoozed by the lure of BabyBeau pics, being spoon fed to you by "Smooth Talker", B67 (a.k.a. "JustinT67").
(Remember the hospital pics?) When you're back is turned, he makes known his true feelings...

SD, however, (in 3rd person for dramatic effect) is consistently annoying, like Don Rickles, teasing all the CT gals throughout entirety of the thread, and they give it back consistently. :wink2:
Remember, we're just fellow whacked-out CT posters, not your SO's...

Exhibit A:

Look at your Cuz's treatment...
In this post, SP is endearingly referred to:

What LaDi craves:

Yea Yea yea...with a hair fling, bat the eye lashes, "headlights beaming" under slightly ajar tank top, a wiggle in your step & a margarita in your hand...and don't forget the big flashy smile...>:)...pearly whites, with a seduction tongue lick across your 2 front teeth....:grin2:...

Warning LaDi !!- I know you gals enjoy the flirty, flowery responses directed toward you, but they come with a cost... That of you being the next CT gal to be brandished an IGT ("Internet Girl Troll") !!! :eek2:
