One of my favorite Rush songs..the lyrics were relevant back in 1981 and IMHO, are still relevant today, maybe even more so. Useless tidbit - I got to see them in concert back in 78 (I think it was) during their 'Farewell To Kings' tour

The night is black
Without a moon
The air is thick and still
The vigilantes gather on
The lonely torchlit hill
Features distorted in the flickering light
The faces are twisted and grotesque
Silent and stern in the sweltering night
The mob moves like demons possessed
Quiet in conscience, calm in their right
Confident their ways are best
The righteous rise
With burning eyes
Of hatred and ill-will
Madmen fed on fear and lies
To beat, and burn, and kill
They say there are strangers, who threaten us
In our immigrants and infidels
They say there is strangeness, too dangerous
In our theatres and bookstore shelves
That those who know what’s best for us –
Must rise and save us from ourselves
Quick to judge,
Quick to anger
Slow to understand
Ignorance and prejudice
And fear
Walk hand in hand

Well, Good Evening. Whoever is left over.

And, now I am feeling the need to go to bed.

Nothing interesting happened today.

Finally caught up on work and the crazies finally shut down, so we could get something done.

Didn't get home until 8:40. Was going to start my chili. But, I done run out of give a $hit!

Night all!

Good morning everyone!

Starting my first day of vacation - off until Dec 2.

Definitely in need of some relaxation - hopefully no call-ins.

Today we will be going to a fabric store - I picked up a salvation army angel at work. The wish list had some items pertaining to Batman. My wife will sew a blanket with Batman images on it.

When I was reading last night in bed using a Fire Kindle - I quickly looked at the posts on CT. I had thought this post was from Mel for some reason. And also thought was from Phantom of the Opera. But was really skimming through. So this morning find it is TN and not Phantom of the Opera.

I have been trying to find who the cast was when I went to see the show between 1998 - early 2000's in Memphis....but no luck.
The other major play we went to was Cats in Tulsa, Ok similar time frame. Was a last minute thing. I was looking for things to do for the weekend and the show still had tickets a couple of days in advance - purchased online and drove the 3-4 hours.

When I was still going to a community college - the students put on the play: One Who Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. 27 years later I still remember how well the lead actor did - always say he was the best.

Hey Aunt B, I was searching some old threads for something, and found your post made on Mel's RB thread for Kip, where you openly wondered at that time if Toad would even make it to his 12th year.

So, double extra kudos to you and your "old man", Toad!

https://www.dobermantalk.com/rainbow...ml#post3862330

(Sorry Mel, if I stirred up some sad memories, but rereading your Kip RB thread & tribute got me all choked/teared up myself....)

I only can hope when our two Dobes finally pass, that they do so at an old age and as as peacefully as Kip did back in 2017...

Thanks doc for fix’in me post, appreciate that!
So Scott is progressing with his shoulder.
The surgeons office called and he was told no physical therapy for six weeks.
Then a physician assistant called and said to start therapy right away.
So Scott called there office and raised hell due to the conflict of info.
Yep he is feeling better.
Scott does not like me having to drive him everywhere.
He thinks I drive to slow.
Nothing wrong with driving slow IMHO
So this weekend grandkids birthday party.....Scott will stay home with Hoss...and I will attend the pool party b-day bash. Kids get pretty wild so I will make my show and hit the road to home.
