Hey SP, I think that's actually Lannie and her hubby, Rich, in that Git Up Dance video!

I see their log cabin farmhouse, Bobcat, kerosine lighting, lots of cats, farm animals and beer cans...
(Though, obviously filmed in summer in SD....)

I would love to do a movie of you guys, gals, dogs, cows, chickens etc....bust'in some moves!!!
Where ever you are most comfortable ........just rock your thing.........I can do a special feature for say New Year's 2020...this would be alot of fun and really funny. Dancing with yer whatever's ........anything goes.......love this idea........OK.....the date is set..........when you have your videos please let me know.
We ( I) will keep them secret until the "Big Show" ...........maybe we will have a contest and the contest winner can decide which rescue group to send a special present to at "LadyDi's expense".
So what do you think?

The other ones were for riding and working, but the Tony Lamas were for going out. Once upon a time, I used to dress nice. Black (tight) Wranglers, the black boots, a pretty shirt, and a gorgeous black leather (also butter-soft, OMG) cropped jacket, with beads and fringe. Of course, now I'm 20 years older, 20 pounds heavier, and we never go out, so it all just sits in my closet gathering dust.

And speaking of Wranglers, we were in town (a 2-hour drive each way, mind you) yesterday and Rich got me a couple more pairs of jeans, because my old ones are about falling off me now. I got Wranglers, but there's no "W" on the pocket! When did they quit doing that? It's just a plain pocket with no stitching except around the edge to hold it on. I feel cheated!

There was some good news and some bad news (not about the jeans) yesterday. I went in for a cleaning and check-up at the dentist, and they said my teeth didn't NEED cleaning! WTH? They've always needed cleaning but I've been trying really hard to keep them in good shape, and it's paid off. The bad news, however, is that because I took a two year vacation from cleaning (when I lost my good hygenist and had to find a new one, and I hate the dentist so I was in no hurry), I now need a "deep" cleaning. All those 45 years I smoked did a number on my jaw bones, apparently, and my gums aren't tight against the bone anymore. It's nothing I can do anything about myself because I can't reach that deep, so they have to do it, and all for the low bonus price of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.

I wanted to cry. We finally managed to save enough money to have our leaky roof fixed (but still can't find anyone who will come out here to DO the work), and now we're going to have to spend some of it because I didn't want to go to the dentist for two years. I guess I learned my lesson, didn't I? At least the dentist gave me a big Atta-Girl for doing such a good job on the parts of my teeth I CAN reach. But still, a grand for cleaning? That's just outrageous, in my opinion. Better than waiting for them to fall out and need dentures, though, and considering my age, and how many years I smoked, I guess I could be in a worse place. I'm trying to look on the bright side...
If you only knew how much I understand, Lannie.

$1000?

OMG

Do you not have dental insurance?

I'm game!

I'm just trying to figure out my props and getting Mister to cooperate.

He will say this is stupid like when he is took pics of me kissing my JD.

I will remind him that he called me a wackadoodle for some other things and I am just proving him even more right!

Interesting project, Cuz!

But, I won't do it unless Kenny agrees to embarrass his wife at Walmart.

Guess I won't be around much this weekend. Got to practice my dance moves.

Cuz,

So this is like, going to cost me money. I don't know where to get the sound track for practicing and I don't know if I can find my jam box, if I have one. Even if I could find a jam box that I already own, will it take a brand new CD? And, then? Do they even still make jam boxes?

I feel a panic attack coming on!

Are we all going to be on the same song?

You are the movie producer! How about some directions here.

I won't do it unless we are all on the same song.

I don't like chopped up movies.

Git up challenge song, right?

That should impress Kenny's wife even more.

Since we are on music.

I don't necessarily like Kid Rock, but I think he has a decent voice and Sheryl Crow has good reputation as far as I can tell.

Maybe you could just take a step to the left and a step to the right holding Trip.

Di will make you look good. Give it a try. One step to the left and another to the right. Dancing done!

Mister doesn't have any beat, At All!

I do miss partner dancing.

By the time I get up in the morning I need some recipe ideas.

Hearty and filling recipes.

Preferably simple.

Got it?

Night Night.

Meat Pie??
You'll need:

Double pie crust--for both bottom and top of pie (I use store bought--I don't think it really matters for this kind of recipe)
1 pound hamburger meat
1 onion
1 large carrot
A few ribs of celery 1/2-2/3 cup chopped
2-ish garlic cloves
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2-2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Spices (salt, blk and red pepper...optional oregano, cumin, marjoram)

Brown 1 pound hamburger lightly

Add chopped medium onion, one large carrot grated, 1/2-2/3 cup chopped celery, minced garlic (a couple of cloves). Cook slightly. (if you have a non-celery lover, add less, cut it finer--it will still be slightly raw/not quite crunchy when done. It won't have quite the same flavor, but that's just the way it is. You'd probably need a little though)

Add one can cream of mushroom soup, 1/2-2/3 cups grated parmesan cheese, about 1 tsp salt, black pepper, red pepper...optional oregano, cumin, marjoram. Thin with milk if necessary (I don't think I ever do)

Stir well and pour into pie crust. Add crust on top, cut slits.

Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes til crust is brown (I always put the dish on a cookie sheet because sometimes it drips if crust isn't sealed very well, and it is also easier to pull it out of the oven.)

Fairly filling but sorta heavy...probably not a one dish meal...maybe add a veggie too.

Good morning all!

Raining 42 degs which I got to go out in when I walked Mila this morning

Day off today - piano lesson which I am not prepared for even though only had a couple of assignments.

O Sole Mio! by Capua https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0tkAN6J5MQ

A more complicated piano version Eduardo Di Capua - O Sole Mio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB9Gf2tsfCk

Classical singing of the O Sole Mio - Andrea Bocelli- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O09Bxj_KHk Luciano Pavarotti also sings it but I think I like Bocelli better

What a beautiful thing is a sunny day!
The air is serene after a storm,
The air is so fresh that it already feels like a celebration.
What a beautiful thing is a sunny day!

But another sun, even more beauteous, oh my sweetheart,[10]
My own sun, shines from your face!
This sun, my own sun,
Shines from your face; It shines from your face!

Your window panes shine;
A laundress is singing and boasting about it;
And while she's wringing the clothes, hanging them up to dry, and singing,
Your window panes shine.

When night comes and the sun has gone down,
I almost start feeling melancholy;
I'd stay below your window
When night comes and the sun has gone down.

Or you can go with Elvis Presley - Its Now or Never https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0-FBlfvgxo

It's now or never,
come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling,
be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late,
it's now or never
My love won't wait.

When I first saw you
with your smile so tender
My heart was captured,
my soul surrendered
I'd spend a lifetime
waiting for the right time
Now that your near
the time is here at last.

It's now or never,
come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling,
be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late,
it's now or never
My love won't wait.

Just like a willow,
we would cry an ocean
If we lost true love
and sweet devotion
Your lips excite me,
let your arms invite me
For who knows when
we'll meet again this way

It's now or never,
come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling,
be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late,
it's now or never
My love won't wait.

My wife hosted her Mystery Book Club yesterday -

She made

Baked potato bar:
Baked potatoes including some sweet potatoes
Broccoli cheese soup
Toppings - Sloppy Joe, Butter, Cheese, Green Onions, Sour Cream

Desert - chocolate chip oatmeal and molasses cookies. Also pumpkin and coffee cake.

Of course when I got home that was my supper!

Oops had to come back and fix a spelling error - Desert should be Dessert. Wouldn't want my wife to think I deserted her cookies or thought they were dry like the Sahara Desert!
