Big Rant coming on!

Had an appointment with AC Tech set 5 days ago. Appointment was set 5 days ago and no one showed. Called American Home Shield multiple times and talked to multiple people in the Philippines and have been on hold for an hour and a half trying to get to the highest level.

This is bullshit! Don't do American Homeshield!

They EFFed with the wrong person.

I am still listening to their hold music, which sucks, by the way!

Called a News station which already has investigated them.

Suck Piss!

Hold music, which sucks, still playing. I have all day to hold.

I think I feel better now.

We had American Home Shield from the time we moved back to the states up until about 6 months ago. I always figured it was best to be safe in case something big like the HVAC went out. They use the cheapest and worst contractors, and I'm convinced the companies they use are in cahoots with them to rip off the customer. Last year, our water heater started leaking, called AHS, they sent a company and the guy said yep, needs replacing. Great, I thought, I get a new one for $75. Not so fast! Suddenly he started on how he had to install an expansion tank due to the new codes...the cost? $650 for what I found out was a $50 (or less) part. No thanks, I got someone else to install the tank and expansion tank. Then earlier this year, our 15 year old garbage disposal went out, and when the repair guy came, he looked at it, then said he had to go out to his vehicle to talk to AHS about replacing it. He came back in and said that according to AHS, they figured we broke the disposal by getting something jammed in it and they weren't going to replace it...he offered to replace it for $300. I'm normally a pretty laid back guy but that really ticked me off. I told him to get out of my house, called AHS, and cancelled. They offered to send another company out to get a 2nd opinion and I told them nope, I'm done. Went to Lowes and bought a disposal and watched a YouTube video or two on how to replace it. $300 bucks...my @ss LOL

I don't know what to say.

Spent 2 hours on hold in the Philippines and suddenly, someone was almost in my driveway. He was local and I grilled the $hit out of him. Put The Mister on the phone with him. AC dude says I am getting a new unit no charge to me. I will believe it when I see it. I was bawling. I don't have $2K laying around. We shall see in about a week!

Eva attended her 3rd weekly school Read With Me visit this morning and did very well. We had a heavy rain shower pass over school, so she was a bit apprehensive during the first student's reading session. Some extra treats settled her down okay.

Finally got her customized red leather embossed collar from Etsy which she wore for first time today. Along with her Girl Power therapy dog vest, the collar actually worked today, with the kids recognizing her as a girl Doberman! Took some pics when we returned home....

Yes, SP, of course Eva can poop on command! -NOT!
Spock can though, as soon as I pickup the pooper rake & scoop he will help me by making one more (pile) - every time!

Back to story-> Right after getting home from her school visit today, I wanted to have a photo shoot of Eva, while she still had her new red collar and vest on.

I was just cranking up my good camera and focusing on Eva for first shot of her when she "assumed the position" and dropped a big [email protected]! Not until I pulled the pics off the SD memory card did I see that picture was blurred, thankfully, due to camera being still cold from indoor AC. Lens surface fogged up after being brought outside in humid outdoors.

Get it together, Minnesota! Yesterday, barely 60 degrees. Today, nearly 85. Tomorrow, back down below 60. Don't you know my head can't take this????

That's great news! From my experience with them, they won't replace anything until they have no other choice...they'd rather keep putting band aids on it while you keep having to put in work orders.

Beau,
Too funny! But I'm not sure even this hardened bunch here in the chicken thread is ready to see that...

B67, Ha ha!, but you've all missed the point of Eva's potty picture.

It was to illustrate that she's so dedicated to her new Therapy Dog job that she "held it in for the team" and waited until she got home before lettin' it loose...
By no means was it posted as an embarrassment to her, being tactfully blurred, as well as reduced in resolution. (We did in fact take a mid visit potty break at school today)

My apologies for forgetting to put the NYT "Poop Shaming" article link in first post, so much of the intent of this picture was lost.
Here it the NYT direct link, totally relevant to Eva's situation:
