I triple dog dare you.

How adorable, regarding the video! And, I don't like babies and kids!

"SP - I always buy used vehicles, in good condition".

I pull this way too, except I was so tired of truck shopping I took a 4 year old with 80K on it

I love it.

"Car Acronyms"

Don't even get me started on Semi Truck acronyms! I will get banned or an infraction at the very least.

Next to Doberman's - my next favorite dog of similar size is the Weimaraner.
- little dogs, love the look of the Miniature Schnauzer
That video of the 2 dogs and new born baby, was real special.

My current vehicle also had 80,000 miles (purchased a year ago) / but a lot older than 4 years:
2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4 - I'll never get rid of this one / great styling and perfect size, for an SUV.
- a real 4x4 with Hi/Lo transfer case, & built on a rugged truck frame

Semi Truck acronyms! - you have me, scratching my head...haven't got a clue, on this one.

Never heard of SWIFT Trucking, until I googled them:
- Swift lowers freight rates for everybody
- Swift puts people behind the wheel of a truck who shouldn't be allowed to drive a nail
- Rookies train rookies. It's a recipe for disaster
- Swift took my hood off. I got it fixed and lost my new hood to another Swift
- Swift does not know drivers by name. You're only a number
- Sure Wish I'd Finished Training
- Swing Wide, It's a Flippin Trailer
- Sir, What'd I Foul up Today?

^^ NO, never heard of them in Canada / you can keep them SP.

Swift stands for "Sure Wish I'd Finished Training".

Sure wish I could post the other names for Swift. I can't. That was the tamest acronym I have, for them. The rest will get me in trouble.

However, Swift is an oxymoron for them. Their speed is governed. I see JB Hunt and other company trucks passing them at a much "swifter" pace. LOL A whole couple of miles per gallon faster. LOL

Well?????

My guess is that they feel vulnerable when they are in a squatting position and so pay close attention to what's going on around them. The also generally have their ears flat back.

My other guess is that they are trying to picture how that poop would look sitting on the top of your head.

There is of course the possibility that they are simply pondering the mystery of what we do with all the poop that we collect.

Maybe they are giving you stink eye for making them do it in the rain?

My Girl Ktrin, hated going out to potty when it was raining, or even just morning dew on the grass. However, she would wallow in every mud puddle she could find when that situation presented itself.

Alright Okies, Texans, possible other people in the path of the storm traveling this way.

Get your emergency bag ready.

The Mister scoffed at me when I got my bag ready. I packed stuff for him, as well, should we have to run for the "hidey hole" It's cold in an OK storm shelter. In Kansas we just go to the basement and watch TV.

On a side note, My Mister started priming the chicken coop. In the process of moving the ladder around it, I saw the primer can getting ready to slide off. And, guess what?

STJ and Beau,

Behave.

It WAS a funny situation, though.

I got hosed off in the yard and went in and took a shower. I still have primer splatter on one of my legs.

John ^^ We have a winner / big congrats...
- but you took 3 guesses (LOL)
Cheers, Larry

----------------------------------------------------------

Why Do Dogs Stare At You When They Poop? It's Not Because They're Embarrassed.

Here’s what Dr. Primm has to say about why dogs stare at you when they poop:

Dogs are animals and they are very tuned in to their environment and their own place in it. For survival, they must be aware of risk.

Defecation is one of the times in an animal’s life when he is at his most vulnerable. He must posture to perform the task and because of this, he is not in a position to readily fight or flee. In fact, it would be rather difficult for him to defend himself or to escape danger while he is eliminating. Your dog is instinctively aware of his defenselessness.

But your dog also knows that she is a part of your “pack”. You are a member of the family group. If your dog watches you during this time, it is because she is depending on you to give her a body language signal or “heads up” if she should be afraid. She may also be looking to you to possibly defend her should the need arise. If you suddenly leap away, you can bet your dog will respond also.

Likewise, some dogs will not defecate with anyone watching (or on a leash). Perhaps he feels safer if he is away from your home turf where he will not draw attention. Instincts dictate your dog’s reaction to his own helplessness during this awkward time.

Whether your dog looks to you or slips away for “poop time”, it helps to know that she is just doing what comes naturally to her. You should honor her wishes as long as it is safe to do so. Try not to do anything that will startle her if she is looking at you while she defecates. Respect her natural inclination to be away and modify your environment to accommodate her as much as possible.
