Along with trying to learn music, I have tried to paint and draw over the years.
Not good but as mentioned it gives me more appreciation for those who are! And my attempt to use my other half of my brain
Couple more -
Simple Cherry:

Oil Painting (Bob Ross style for those who remember him) - First one had some help from instructor...

Then you can go see a nice Doberman drawing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAMFbjcYXVM

And of course some Hyperrealism - Almost photo like. My wife is not a big fan of this type but I like it as it takes a ton of time and skill.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XyuIn0B8BM is just one example...believe it took him a few months to finish.

One day would like to be able to draw my Dobers.but guess that would require me to well draw!
That was pretty cool , man he can draw

AB, here's the HughesNet Ka band EchoStar 19 satellite "footprint" coverage.
Unless you live in an abandoned mine, cave or old missile silo bunker, service should be available.
Please tell us you're not living in a old missile silo bunker?

Kenny are you watching the Ohio State/Indiana game? If Indiana stops running the ball and starts passing it could be a good game. I was happy to see the game is on YouTube TV

Like your artwork, mo.

The drawing of the doberman was interesting...but I think he got the dog's left ear wrong. And his neck hooks on his body wrong. But he has a good head.

There. That's all you need to know about the chicken thread. The rest is just winging it.

LOL...

My 5 yo and our 10 yo just went berserk... They decided to go all out

They played like two Dobe puppies. Straight at it for 45 minutes. It was hilarious. Teeth out. Growling and snapping. Barking. Wrestling.

To a person that does't understand Dobe play, it wouold be seriously scary.

Now they are laying together, dead to the rest of the world.

i love my boys....

STJ!

Good morning everyone!

Eschew Prolixity - I have seen this on your avatar mel, but today for some unknown reason, I required the need to look the meaning up. Must have been the spirits of the pedantry pushing my desire to understand something. As I meandered my way through the vast knowledge of the internet I came across many sites that talked about it - from legal terms to writing to academic. I had at first thought is was something to do with your special powers
Quote:
which I can do and YOU can't
But I did have a hard time looking at the two words together as nothing popped up that had a meaning for the term as one at least not one that I thought had a good return of meaning. Some sites tried to hide the meaning in lots of verbose prose that I had to decipher and these types I had to shun so early in the morning. Luckily I found sites that were lauded as dictionaries!!!

Finally through(threw, thru, throw, thruff...darn English) my exhaustive searching I found that I had to understand each word:
Eschew - 1300–50; Middle English eschewen < Old French eschiver, eschever < Germanic; compare Old High German sciuhen, German scheuchen,

prolixity [Middle English, from Old French prolixe, from Latin prōlixus, poured forth, extended.]

In the end I learned I unfortunately tend towards the prolix - and thus why mel has the special power and I dont. But hopefully with mel's guidance I can also become Eschew Prolixity

And that is why my wife tells me to stick to my day job! Joke telling is not my forte

Now with a cup of coffee in me I can return to normal

Good morning everyone.
It was a successful trip the patient made it with no incident.

The patient is my BIL. He had a heart attack and quad bypass surgery
Late 40’s , no insurance, no one to care for him. Has some mental issues
He has a aunt that was willing to take him in and undertake his needs, God bless her!
We checked him straight into hospital in NY.. It is so sad , this is one of his last Chances.

I am tired have not slept since Thursday night and have a long day in front of me.
thanks for the thoughts and prayers
Alan

New model is Mohu Blade:
https://amazon.com/Mohu-Blade-Antenn...dp/B07BMHGQXB/

After you get connected up to antenna jack on HDTV, apply power and experiment with best placement in room, usually high on drywall and oriented with flat side toward city. In Guthrie, you might need to put inside or just outside window, as high up as possible. (new model waterproof).

Main thing to remember on these amplified antennas: Power supply from USB is injected into same coax cable as signal, so you don't want to be connecting/disconnnecting RCA connector on HDTV jack with power supply connected (live) or you might damage preamp inside base of antenna.

You could order from Amazon and carefully unpack and try out as a test. If the Mohu doesn't cut it, then you'll have to go with an HD Yagi style roof or attic mount such as this RCA model:

https://amazon.com/Antenna-Satellite...dp/B0024R4B5C/

These are essentially the same as the UHF portion of the old broadcast analog antennas from years back, using the same frequency bands for HDTV today.
I had to come back to this because I was lazy at the time and knew I would come back.

So, do I have to put one of them RCA things on the roof for every TV? Or, are you saying I need to replace the existing rooftop antenna?

Welcome back. Glad everyone is safe.

You are the man!

Hell of a whirl wind trip, you made. I would be calling in dead to work for a week! I cannot travel like that!
