Both non-standard and confusing. Sounds like Ken to me.

Darn it, "through" is just too hard to spell, always getting mixed up with "thorough"... No wonder Ken uses "threw"

Ma?

My mini rant is, "thru" was not proper grammar back in the correct days.

Can't change my mind...

I will meet you in the woodshed.

If we don't have a meeting in the conference room I just don't know if I will be allowed back on this thread.

If you type "thru" into a DT post or MS Word document, the spellcheck DOESN'T underline word as an error, so take that, English teacher Denny ....

"Through or thorough" // just like Beau spelling "chunk as hunk".

Up watching the MLBall game.
- NYY pitcher balked and tie'ing run walked in / 5-5 after 9 innings
- in 12th or 13th inning, Toronto had a walk-off HR
- via 21 year old Blue Jays super star, Bo Bichette
(record tied with Joe Dimaggio, at 29 y/o...rookie walk-off, in first 41 games)
Exciting game / not even midnight here yet...bedtime @ 1:00 am likely

3 walking "thru" a door?

4 hiccups?

5 I am re-thinking this entire deal?

B67, here's my non-voicemail (sorry, don't do fancy communication things) stab at pronunciation...get the missus to help?

1. Trough----------Trawf

2. Plough-----------Plow

3. Through---------Throo

4. Hiccough--------Hiccup

5. Though----------Tho

6. Tough-----------Tuff

SP, you were doing fine until you got to the F word. Then I had to give you an F for the entire thing. Tough luck.

SP, you were doing fine until you got to the F word. Then I had to give you an F for the entire thing. Tough luck.

Here's a little tutorial from WikiHow for you guys:
"How to become a teacher's favorite"
https://m.wikihow.com/Become-a-Teacher%27s-Favorite

Pay special attention to #5 in the first section ("Showing enthusiasm about your work").

5. Respect the teacher’s authority on a subject.
Teachers have been through a lot of education and they have chosen a profession where they get to share their knowledge. You may know a lot about a subject as well, but teachers will appreciate if you treat them as the experts they are.

Occasionally it’s okay to correct your teacher. After all, everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

Many teachers are wary of “know-it-all” students. Not only will acting like a know-it-all jeopardize your relationship with your teacher, it may also annoy your classmates. No one wants a smarty-pants as a friend.

I'm pretty sure that B67 called you an angle.
See post #13294 for reference.

If I remember correctly, I think the discussion was about whether you were an angle or not. We couldn't decide whether you were acute or obtuse though.

Whereas I am a right angle.
And then 4X4 put in a piece about him being an angle of elevation and shopped around for someone to be the angle of depression...but that was too acute for me.
