What is this rain you guys speak of? We're in the bad part of summer here in middle TN, where it's unbearably hot and no rain in sight. Grass dies, birds hide, and it's just plain miserable.
Took this pic at a red light on my way home from work today...and nope, no fetch with Mocha in this

Got a little bit more spot cleaning and dishes to do tonight!

Pepper got into the trash, again, and Lily pooped in the house! I know why Lily pooped in the house! Pepper getting into the trash made her so nervous, she couldn't help herself. Lily has never gotten in the trash. Must have been such a trauma for her.

Also, have more dishes to wash. I was productive before the cooking and ran out of give a damn, and left dishes to be done from yesterdays cooking.

I am proud of myself that I got that much done!

Yep! We had a 105 day with index reading 110-ish. The temp was comfortable this morning when I went out to water the girls but, when I came back in the house after 8 minutes, my bangs were plastered to my forehead. Had to re-dry them.

It was really stuffy. Couldn't even feel my air conditioned seat on the way home.

My poor lawn is dying. They plant tall fescue here and it may do well in slightly cooler areas but IMHO, it's a horrible grass in places where the temps get this high and there's little rain during the worst part of summer. It looks great in spring and very early summer, and then again for about a month or so in the fall, but as soon as daytime temps get above 75, it starts going dormant and then dies in the later summer months. And yeah, I have tried watering the heck out of it before, to the tune of water bills in excess of $100 per month but it did little good, if any. I'm thinking of switching to a grass like Bermuda, or Zoysia, which goes dormant in cold weather but can take the heat and stays green all summer with minimal watering. Me, I don't care what my lawn looks like in winter, but I would like to have green in the summer time when I'm outside.

He is still insinuating most likely. But, he can be a teaser! He will probably hand me a sack with a T-shirt in it and then pull the tank out of his pants. He's on his way home.

OMG

The drama I will have to endure about his trip. We don't like most of the same cars.

He likes them chopped. I like them Classic.

Di? Dear sweet Cuz?

May I please send some Mister truck pics for your movie?

And yeah, I have tried watering the heck out of it before, to the tune of water bills in excess of $100 per month but it did little good, if any. I'm thinking of switching to a grass like Bermuda, or Zoysia, which goes dormant in cold weather but can take the heat and stays green all summer with minimal watering. Me, I don't care what my lawn looks like in winter, but I would like to have green in the summer time when I'm outside.
Grass is so bad, but good!

Got to know what grass needs to be where.

That is a *itch for me. Coming from Kansas, pretty much everything Brome and prairie hay.

Burmuda? Not excellent for horses.

I am just glad that I don't have goats and still have a lawn.

Hence, a reference to my neighbors and their mud hole over there!
