Beau's 1955 Chev. 210 (2 door post), automatic with a 6 cylinder...photo below, was solid blue, when purchased.
- paid C$600 off a retired old lady
- sold to my brother, after I drove it for a while / frame mounts (body to cab) rusted out
- Twin67 auto body restored the car / he welded the front fender light caps on, to fix rust through
- while this Larry fully brazed the bottom left half quarter on, with brothers assistance (clamping & cooling patch)...he trusted me, to keep heat warpage under control
- the car was sanded nice and straight, in fathers house garage...on family farm
- restored over the winter, 40 years ago / running a 1500W electric heater
- after a fresh repaint, no evidence of our panel welding could be found
- a very respectful restoration, for us self-trained auto body amateurs
- playing with old cars, on the farm / best of fun times
Sweet! I don't like the color, though. That's okay. I got over Ruby Red's color.

Subaru!!! That maybe fighting wordsI drive a chevy , ford and Isuzi...not really happy with any of them. The Isuzi stuck me on the side of the road yesterday with two rear blown tires , dropped over thousand dollars on the Chevy fixing sensors , instrument cluster and few other things that had nothing to do with performance. Ford not to much of a issue except for our cold Florida winters caused a hose to break in half on the fill side to the tank...thanks to duct tape i am not such a environmental hazard when its filled. I will have to drop the tank to fix
Tractors are a Massey , kubotas and a JD.
None are pretty and they all refuse to have their pics taken.
My girl drives a Dodge and the doberman and I are not allowed in , well , we can make smudges

LOL!

I was picking a fight about the Subaru!

I don't hate Fords or Dodges.

Been too comfortable with GM. I like that I can take my vehicle to the shop, drop it off and let them know not to BS me. I've owned them long enough to know BSing me!

You are redeemed however by mentioning JD.

I've been doing a lot of sewing. Had the day off work Tuesday so that Sypha and I could attend a half-day Nosework seminar with Nancy Reyes. We had a good time and learned some good stuff. We were both pretty tired, went home and napped, and then we had Nosework class that night!

Otherwise not much is going on - just working lots. Very much enjoying the better weather and looking forward to fall, although that also means I'll be lots busier.

We've been doing a CSA this year (community supported agriculture) and that's been fun - getting veggies in our box every week and figuring out what to cook with them That's been interesting and sometimes challenging, but a good experience.
Hey MeadowCat - what type of sewing? My wife likes to sew a bit...she doesn't do quilts though. I even tried my hand at sewing once with her. Made a couple of shirts and a vest. Very tedious cutting out the patterns, then cutting the cloth to the pattern. Then sewing it all together.....sheesh. Hats off to you

Get anyone ready to go to the Wood Shed, should they play that song!

It goes on forever and it's annoying.

Here is a song I like - a bit sad but good.

Alter Bridge's Myles Kennedy - 'Watch Over You'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK3NuxO3Ke0

Add one more with Myles Kennedy - he is singing with Disturbed the great song of Simon & Garfunkel - The Sounds of Silence

Woof!

I like it!
Denny. Best thing about that car... The front seats went totally down to make beds. This was for prudes like you who wouldn't do it in the back seat...

STJ!

STJ!
The seats went totally down?

I missed that button. Had to push buttons on the am/fm radio and stomp the bright lights button on the floor board. How could I have possibly missed the reclining seat button?
