WELL it won't pull up! It was a herd of elk walking through downtown Gearhart on the Oregon coast.

I'll try it one more time because it is really cool:https://www.oregonlive.com

Here's your video, 4x4.

At least, I'm pretty sure this is what you wanted to post. There can't be that many videos showing a bunch of elk parading down the street.

Pretty amazing.

Hi Chickens!

Mel , i love that clip...if certain animals are to survive and flourish they will have to adapt to living with us humans. They all huddle up and make sure its all clear and move on to better pastures. I am proud of that herd that Gene pool should move forward!

Well, rats--because everything (most everything anyway) had so many pictures to download or videos or song link's (with no song titles) that I needed to go to the library before I could read anything in the chicken thread. So I was entertaining myself waiting for the library to open by writing an elaborate commentary to Mel's response to my first reply to the sub thread about Australian Cattle Dogs vs Australian Shepherds.

It was very long but very informative and occasionally pretty funny. But when I was editing it (so that it didn't look like it was in some obscure foreign language it vanished!!!

I hate computers--not all the time but when they do things like that--had to be the computer--could have been me--I didn't even have my hands of the keyboard.

Well, Mel--it's not the kind of thing I'm going to do again--but one of the things I intended to clarify was the bit about AS breeders docking some tails because they weren't the right length. Almost ALL Aussies are docked. Even those born as bobs or partial bobs are rarely the right length. But the majority of Aussies are born with full length tails. Aussie breeders have been trying to breed out that particular trait because it's so often attached to other lethal genetic traits. If they have puppy born as a bob--they make note of it and try to make sure that pup is never bred to the offspring of another litter that had a bob in it. The better breeders keep track of stuff like that or they used to.

I found my Windows7 for Dummies manual--it was behind a whole row of books a friend of mine has been reading

And we had a practically perfect summer day yesterday--only got to 80 degree because the marine layer actually moved into the valley and it stayed overcast until noon. Today it's gonna' be a lot hotter--sun came up--no clouds--so higher 80's today and going up from there to a predicted high of 90 degrees. My poor geriatric dogs don't like the heat at all.

That's it--that's all I know until I can hit the library and look at all the stuff of elk crossing the street and bears pushing dumpsters down the street and stuff like that.

I never hear Aussies being included in the "you're so cruel to your dogs" kinds of comments our poor dobes get.

Looks like the standard says natural bob or docked? But if the natural bob has lethal genes associated with it, why not at least allow a full tail--I mean, if we're going to be consistent.

Or stop riding dobe people for their cruel and unusual punishment thing.

I wish you hadn't lost your essay about ACDs and Aussies; I always enjoy reading your dissertations. Danged DT always loses the ones I spend the most time and effort on, and then I'm too pooped to type it again. The spontaneous tone flies out the window and I know the second writing will never be as clever as the first was anyway.

My agility trainer is actually an Aussie breeder - she breeds working lines, and leaves hers with natural tails. They look significantly different than showline Aussies. They are very, very often mistaken for Border Collies. Really nice dogs.

The kind of code you copy over from youtube looks like this:
HTML Code:

And you modify it into this format:
HTML Code:
[youtube]5sQ_3v4PioM[/youtube]
To get this:
Copy over the string of letters and numbers after the equal sign, wrap it with
HTML Code:
[youtube][/youtube]
and it will embed in this forum.

The IMG code is for pictures and gifs.

Awww, a helly-copter doing helly-copter things. Do they pretty much use those instead of airplanes these days, or are they only used for places where they need a lot of maneuverability?

Awww, a helly-copter doing helly-copter things. Do they pretty much use those instead of airplanes these days, or are they only used for places where they need a lot of maneuverability?
Awesome helicopter video.

He was spraying, right?

If so, can you come spray my property? I have a friend discount promotion code, that I bought off Ebay.

Don't do it, Kenny!

Her video is sideways.

She's on the sauce again.

Must have accidentally locked herself in the woodshed.

That is something I haven't figured out. You can rotate a picture with a photo host's little rotate thingy....but how do you rotate a you tube video? My video was taken with the camera sideways, so to speak, but I have no idea how to flip the video a bit so it isn't sideways.

There you have it folks! I've finally admitted there is something I don't know how to do. I may not ever say that again. Enjoy it while you can.

Thanks Mel ! Will try it here in a minute . Choppers rule around here , they fly slower ( 70 to 80 knots ) where the new generation ag planes move along at 150 knots , they have increased the plane pay load to boot , some up to 800 gallon at 2 gallon a acre = 400 acres Flight , much more economical for the planes , but moving fast and increased weigh has its draw backs ! Choppers have got bigger , they land right at the field , in the video , near the end , notice the truck sitting in the field , the chopper was landing on top of it , reload was very quick and back at it , plus , the down draft off the blades push the product down into the canopy . Choppers do cost more a an acre than a airplane .
