I missed the beagle and the greyhound.
I really thought about saying greyhound for that question, but decided that answer was designed to trick us, because the puppy was grey, and a hound-ish looking thing, so they thought they could get people to click on that name.

Most of the dogs (all?) were puppies except the doberman, though; he looked fairly mature. Dobe puppies are so cute; I did wonder why they showed a picture that a lot of the public would see as a vicious dog.

The Oregon (at least Oregon in the Portlad area) as a break in our weather which was headed for joining the uber highs (complete with humitity) yesterday. They were forecasting 80ishg with clouds in the morning clearing later. Instead it was overcast all day and cool--sun didn't make it through the clouds very late in the day o it stayed very cool--it did make it to around 84 degrees in the last couple of hours--which I thought was wonderful as did my two geriatric dogs.

Yes, two geriatric--and a Foxfire bitch (agility champion I believe) loosely related (as are most Foxfire dogs)to Toad, and to both of STJ dogs--and to any other Foxfire dogs that anyone has... She's 12-1/2 is getting along on medicated cardio--and STUBBORN! One of her med2 which controls her arrhythmias also leaves her with not much appetite. I'm retty good at getting dogs to eat--but Jersey is making me beg!!!

Toad, on the other hand thinks he4's died and gone to heaven. I feed him after her and he gets whatever she leaves with enough kibble to equal what he normally get--she gets all kinds of extras but sometimes that's still not good enough. So sometimes Toad gets practically all of her dinner--he says it's fine with him.

I'm suffering from sleep deprivision--between my meds an Jersey's meds and trying to get anything done while I'm stumbling round in a gabapentin haze is NOT good for me. I'm going to go take a nap...

STJ!

STJ & MEL are "puppy ID" show-offs - did better than Beau.
- prepared a stone gardening-tree plot & had a relaxing nap with Kelly (afterwords)
- woke up, did the Quiz, didn't take it to serious...and it showed, in my score results

BabyBear flew to Montreal yesterday, from Spain (on Greece trip).
- picked up a flight, to Toronto...and train shuttle home (same day)
- he and Trevor over tonight, for BBQ
- will get caught up, on details

All in good Fun...

Two priests died at the same time and met Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates.

St. Peter said, "I'd like to get you guys in now, but our computer is down.

You will have to go back to Earth for about a week, but you can't go back as priests. What'll it be?"

The first priest says, "I've always wanted to be an eagle, soaring above the Rocky Mountains."

"So be it, says St. Peter, and off flies the first priest.

The second priest mulls this over for a moment and asks,

"Will any of this week 'count' St. Peter?" "No, I told you the computer's down.

There's no way we can keep track of what you are doing."

"In that case," says the second priest, I've always wanted to be a stud.

So be it says St. Peter, and the second priest disappears.

A week goes by, the computer is fixed, and the Lord tells St. Peter to recall the two priests.

"Will you have any trouble locating them?" he asks.

"The first one should be easy," says St Peter.

"He's somewhere over the Rockies, flying with the eagles.

But the second one could prove to be more difficult."

"Why?" asks the Lord.

He's on a snow tire, somewhere in Saskatchewan.

So I splurged and did Embark Genetic testing for Ori AKA Harold DogDog AKA Hairy Dog AKA HDD.

THE GREAT REVEAL

Australian Cattle Dog 62.1 %
German Shepherd 16.3 %
The rest is "Supermutt"
Likely contributing breeds
Collie
Chow Chow
American Bully
Border Collie

They show pure Cattle Dog on one side, and German Shepherd, a little Cattle dog and Mixed Breed on the other.

His tests were negative for the health conditions they test for (156 of them), including 14 common conditions in his breed mix, except for Progressive Retinal Atrophy/Progressive Rod Cone Degeneration (PRA/PRCD). But he is only a carrier, so he shouldn't have any symptoms. Anyway, that makes sense, because ACD, German Shepherd and other herding dogs (plus other breeds) are prone to PRA. We just have to be careful who we breed him to LOL

These results seem like they could be accurate to me. (And I didn't send them a picture, so they couldn't cheat)

Only 637.87 , but I need another part and the gal and I was not making the connection over the phone as to what the part was , so road trip ! May take Mr B with me , but it will be a long trip for him . new mower was 4,500 hundred , they had a deal on a new 12 footer for only 12,500 .

Retirement looks better all the time , but where ?

I definitely thought Aussie.

. We just have to be careful who we breed him to LOL

How is that supposed to happen? Isn't he missing his special parts?

And, it "shedder", Kenny.

Pay attention. She's been telling us all along that this is why she's a crappy housekeeper, since she got him.

Geesh!

I still haven't finished the first two rooms that I vacuumed so I can move on to the next. My Rat Terrier is the worst! I get maybe a half room vacuumed and I've got to empty the canister?

Well?

I ain't got all night! Where are you peeps? I see Ma and Beau stepped up to the plate!

I have my big meeting with the Big HR people tomorrow. They divided us up into 3 meetings. I got picked for last day meeting.

It's all a waste of money for them to fly these people into OKC to get three more of the same group answers they got 6 months ago.

Corporate world is greedy and stupid and only cover their ass when they have to.

SP, HDD has lots of special parts, just not the ones I think you are referring to.

B67, I think a lot of B&T breeds have the thumbprint.

One marking he does have that is characteristic of the Australian Cattle Dog is the Bentley Star--
"The “Bentley Star” or "Bentley Mark" is a characteristic of the Australian Cattle Dog and consists of a group of white hairs on the dog's forehead....This group of white hairs may be just limited to a few hairs or may form a large spot."

"Mr. Tom Bentley's dog...was both beautifully built and an incredible worker. Bentley's Dog (known by only that name) was reportedly widely used at stud to retain these outstanding characteristics. It is said that the white blaze seen on the forehead of all Australian Cattle Dogs today (now referred to as a "Bentley Mark") can be directly attributed to Tom Bentley's dog.

Beau?

I am in a grumpy mood. There is no such thing as a designer dog. The dog is either pure bred or a mutt, or at least half breed. Newbies need to stop creating their own breed.

Don't even pull my rip cord.

Any other day, than today, I could take it.

I am either really grumpy or really passionate.

Or, maybe I am having a hot flash.
