Morning sweet cakes LDi and Ken, take care of that sore neck...

I've been giving Kelly back massage's, mostly on her shoulder blades (top of back)...only with my Left hand.
- I find it offers my broken wrist the good resistance, to rehab it better
>> Kel's top line spine acts, like a perfectly sized medicine ball....she Loves it.
- I still have one little kink, to try and work out / plus increase hand grip strength

Sorry Doc - I don't do males, neck rubs...no competing with the girls.

TN , my guess it will get worse as Mocha gets older

When I go to the fields , wife donít feed the kids till I come home , they will not eat till I get home , lol wife said itís like a funeral around here when Iím gone all day , they lay around and moop all day no playing ball no nothing , When they hear a car go by they run to the window and look out to see if Iím coming in the back gate .

TN , I know this is your first Doberman , Yet the learning of there true love they have for you , will just keep getting stronger and stronger , Her true colors are just starting

There devotion will blow you away.

My dad was always pizzed at me , many reasons , but the big one was over a viewing for my cousins husband , My feelings for him never changed , even when he was very sick , letís just say I hated that SOB and he knew it to , I never held back on his sorry azz ! Anyway the wifeís and I were to go to the viewing and I let Kasia out to potty before we left , That dang gal bite at and caught a bumblebee, it stung her in her mouth , wife was upset , Kasia was her dog , I called tune Vets office and said they would stay open for me and get her over there , there were worried about swelling in her throat.

I told the misses I was headed to the Vets with Kasia , she said your mom and dad will chit if you donít go ! I said I love that had girl and hate that sob = No contest

Ended up she was ok , but would never , never take any chances with any of our kids , over any event of family get to get together , lol

Itís the least we can do to play the love back they give us from day one .

As time goes by , you will see what Iím talking about my good friend

The book?? Published in three volumes...

I just Wikied it...looks like there were some incestuous relations between the Bond franchise and the movie Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang...

A film loosely based on the novel was made in 1968, with a screenplay written by Roald Dahl and Ken Hughes, directed by Hughes, Co-Director of Casino Royale. It was produced by Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli, who had made five James Bond films previously. The film starred Dick Van Dyke as Caractacus Potts and Sally Ann Howes as Truly Scrumptious, an additional character who was not in Fleming's novel. Two actors from the Bond franchise were involved in the film: Desmond Llewelyn and Gert FrŲbe, who played the parts of scrap-dealer Coggins and Baron Bomberst, respectively.
Yes, well--incestuous is a good description of that--and thank you for reminding me that Ian Fleming was the original author of the Bond written series. At 2:00am I was awake trying to think of the name--got Ian but still drew a blank on Fleming. I'd look more stuff up on Wiki but on dial-up it takes so long to upload (download?) I become impatient and give up.

Nice mushroom Ma! You heard more of the news item about the nailing of bread to trees than I did--but does anyone actually know the purpose is supposed to be--for nailing bread to trees? The early years of this century are starting to be all too reminiscent of stuff going one in the early years of the last century (swallowing goldfish comes to mind).

I'm not fond of bears--if he was visiting anywhere around these parts they'd be out to shoot him fairly quickly. You can say hi to him for me though. They'd probably eventually attract a (what I call cougars and you mountain types call mountain lions and are also known as puma's) cougar if they nailed some pork chops to the tree (I'm obsessed by pork chops these days). Much more attractive than bears, I think, but certainly just as dangerous.

Really, now I'm going out to check out the watering needs.

swallowing goldfish ? Lmao

I had forgot all about that one Aunt B , still lmao

I remember going to the county fair and guys would win them and then grab them by the tail and down the hatch , girls would tamale off gaging , well I did see a few guys too , lol

We had a bear here one time , would get the dogs all worked up , one morning , she was out there and I told my wife thatís it ! She said what are you going to do ? I said just watch , I grabbed a knife ran out to the maple tree and cut off a switch and wiped that Bear on her azz and told her to never come back ! Last I read in the paper , she was last spotted crossing over to Michigan !

Yeah, watching the weather channel a few days ago-they kept showing a stock photo of palm trees blowing in hurricane force winds. OK as a title sequence for their topic, but a bit misleading when interspersed with actual footage of the storm. Over and over and over...

Anyway, Doc...that's some storm surge.

Good one Mel ó-still lol

Story time

Now some may not think this is funny , but if your from the not right club , I think you will .

A few years ago , a good ole boy that farm story in AK was on ag web , he goes by 479 , he has stopped by the farm twice and is. Great guy , but tends to help his story sometimes , he can tell a good one and is just as funny in person .

Away they got a real big time storm in Arkansas , Tons and tons of rain , everything flood Daveís way , he posted up that the water was so deep that caskets were floating across his field ! Well there are a lot of us not rights on ag web and in farming in general and we all jumped on ole 479 about the same time , telling him he was FOS and you name it , we were all laughing our rears off as 479 was trying to tell us he wasnít kidding , you really need to know 479 for this to be laying on the floor laughing. From then on , instead of a Flood warning , we issue a floating casket warning

Serious question time !

Are they poisonous?

Reason , we have millions of little ones coming up in the dog lot , every morning , I go out and pick them so the dogs wonít eat them

Lots of different mushrooms...some poisonous, some not. I did try to look this one up to ID it, but no luck. But I haven't seen anything dead lying around.

I'm not going to taste it to see.

Here's an article about dogs and mushrooms...sounds like picking yours before the dogs can see them is a good idea.

I don't know either DoK--but my friend who runs my Dobes I agility for me lost a really nice Chinese Crested (Puff--those are the ones with hair) to mushrooms--she left her guy with the breeder when she was going to some shows in California with her bitch and my dog. The breeders place is pretty big and has an assortment of fields and pens and runs and he evidently got out of the fenced yard he was sin and into a field that no dogs were supposed to be in.

Then they couldn't find him and trying to comb big fields and pens in the dark for a smallish is practically impossible. They found him in the morning in a patch of mushrooms with foam around his mouth and saw that he had vomited. They took samples in to the vet she worked at and when the results came back poisonous mushrooms were found in the vomit and in the dogs stomach.

There is place in the back yard where I have mushrooms for a couple of weeks in late spring/early summer--right about now in fact--I go pick them every morning before any dog goes out and Toad goes out in a muzzle so he probably couldn't get to them anyway.

I don't know if mine are poisonous but so many of the danged mushroom look pretty much alike I don't want to count on them being safe.

Kady never did like the rain, as much as she loved water!

Incidentally the closest mushroom I could find native to CO was this one:

Welcome, AD.

Yeah, I figure I'll just get my mushrooms from the store. I'm unadventurous like that.

Welcome AD
- I was hoping, you would take the bait // now you can be a Chicken Hawk
like the rest here.

I go buy...
Beau / B67 / PapaBear
- have an adult son named Andrew (so lots of BBQ pics. & his condo renovation stories)
- sonny is referred to as BabyBear sometimes
- lots of short forms, in personal names

Tons upon tons of Dober knowledge, in our tight group of friends here.
John Deere is the tractor of choice / and their are more Chev. truck owners, than Ford (sorry LDi).

The girls here, can take a joke / and deliver them, with both barrels.
- rules are relaxed, but SP is the leader, in taken to the woodshed...via our Ma (aka MEL)
- SP and her Mister, built the chicken coop / 2nd year of raising chicks
- Red Fox found last year meat supply & Egg sales dried up @ work

Lots of wisdom and diverse smarts here...we all root, for each other, and switching topics, leads to your right of passage.
- Doberman lover, welcome aboard man

PS
Beau did yard work today, and had a shower / when wife was making supper.
- Kelly parks herself, on the end of the master bed, to wait for her Daddy
- so I blow kisses on her neck / to show my appreciation for Kel, leaving the kitchen
^^ True BOND, waiting for dads return !!
