May sound gross, but I also like peanut butter sandwiches....bread, peanut butter, butter. The butter adds a good flavor (to me) and makes the whole assembly less sticky. If I知 in the mood for Peanut butter....Yum!

Mel,

I'm going to need a recipe for pear butter. I have a pear tree that's about to collapse.

Mrs. Scully (the previous owner) said she used to make pear butter.

Fun bantering with you all today!

Gotta go to bed now so I am rested up to put the hammer down for another week, and I have to work Saturday as well.

Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!

Browsing through my pictures and because I am somewhat bored, I thought I’d pull out and post a few pictures of the furry wildlife I’ve seen wandering through my yard.

The ubiquitous Fox Squirrel.
IMG_0237 by Melissa Brodhead, on Flickr

Rock Squirrel--about the same size as a Fox Squirrel--but just to give a few differences from the above, he has cheek pouches and lives in a hole in the ground, instead of in a tree.
IMG_7230 by Melissa Brodhead, on Flickr

I’ll bet you know what this guy is--a Cottontail bunny.
IMG_4995 by Melissa Brodhead, on Flickr

A Raccoon eating our bird food after dark.
IMG_2938 by Melissa Brodhead, on Flickr

Bobcat--he had actually been treed by another, but no good pictures of that one other than a pic showing a dark malevolent face peering around the tree trunk.
IMG_3863 by Melissa Brodhead, on Flickr

And many, many Mule Deer--that’s why they get three pictures of their own.
IMG_1507 by Melissa Brodhead, on Flickr

IMG_1852 by Melissa Brodhead, on Flickr

IMG_5836 by Melissa Brodhead, on Flickr

We also have skunks, coyotes and the occasional bear, and used to see foxes, but no pictures of them. There are rumors of a mountain lion around from time to time, but I’m not sure I believe them.

That’s all for now, folks

Wouldn't good be a good bartender...

I am lazy. I am best at simple shots and opening beer cans/bottles.

However, I do have a yummy Bourbon slush recipe!

Sunset, not fire.

My son took the good pictures--with a Canon SX50 HS PowerShot.

I took the Rock squirrel one--but in my defense, he is quite shy, and the pic was through the window and screen, on the fly, before he dashed off. We have a few better ones--but not with the stuffed cheeks.

Oh, and I took the big bucks one too---actually, now that I look at them, my son took the fox squirrel, the rabbit, the bobcat and the sunset. I took the rest.

You can tell the difference. And his pictures work on purpose; mine are just luck and entirely by accident.

Your photos are very fine, as well.

Do you and your son know about good, yet cheap, night vision cameras that I can hook up to a separate computer to download to catch two legged predators?

I humor squirrels. They are funny when they are not messing with ME. They can be very hilarious when they can't figure out which way to go when they cross the road when there are two vehicles meeting each other.

Just fell out of my chair!

Just fell out of my puter chair and just gave myself another black eye.

LMAO

Forgot to tell you all, we made a run to town and had to buy egg cartons, at my second favorite place to shop. TSC!

HAD to buy 2 dozen egg cartons for 49 cents a piece, plus tax.

My girls need to check in with me and tell me about their cycle...

And, the Egg Buyers need to bring my cartons back!
