It's going pretty well! Busy busy, as usual.

I've never had a green egg, so we will go with that!

"Rattlesnake, uranium, whiskey found during traffic stop

By The Associated Press

GUTHRIE, Okla. — Police in Oklahoma say they found a rattlesnake, a canister of radioactive powdered uranium and an open bottle of Kentucky Deluxe whiskey during a traffic stop of a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

The traffic stop happened June 26 in Guthrie, about 30 miles north of Oklahoma City. Guthrie police Sgt. Anthony Gibbs told Oklahoma City TV station KFOR that police don’t know why the uranium was in the vehicle or how it was obtained, though uranium ore can be bought on Amazon.

Gibbs says police also found a gun in the console and a terrarium in the backseat containing a pet timber rattlesnake.

Gibbs says the driver, Stephen Jennings, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, transporting an open container of liquor and driving with a suspended license.

Jennings remains jailed in Logan County.

Good morning everybody

I did what Di had told me to do , felt better yesterday , took a personal day and rested my neck , woke up around 2am , damn neck was hurting so bad , put ice on it then again around 4am , have to spray today and mow the yard + the Purdue gals are coming down .

What a nice morning ! No dew point and A north breeze .

Good! Because I am running out of chickens that I can tell apart from the others.

Went out to open up the chicken door for the girls and they were to scared to come outside of the coop. I had to catch them and toss them into the coop last night. Now they don't want to come out?

I don't recall the last flock being this persnickety.

Cuz,

They have an enclosed outdoor area! Mister is slowly working on a bigger enclosed outdoor area. I have to buy more chicken wire for that and it's not in my budget right this minute.

I am going to have to get you a "Chickens for Dummies" book!

I forgot to add that the neighbors livestock come over here! My livestock doesn't go over there. I have a permanent rooster squatter. He hangs out with Stryker in the carport and circles the coop.

Oh! And the stupid neighbors got some more roosters yesterday!

Last go around, the outdoor area didn't have a roof. Food was getting drenched when it rained. Waste of food.

Now, there is non-wasted food (which isn't cheap at this stage). Chick food is expensive, especially organic. Last flock was free ranging because that was the first flock I've had "here". Didn't realize the lay of the land at that time. Now I know coyotes and foxes come this close to the house, in broad daylight. Didn't have this problem when I lived in Kansas. Only had to worry about opossums and raccoons.

Working on expanding their outdoor playground.

They get their sunshine/vitamin D throughout the day as it is.

Denny... Denny! Tell me that wasn't you! You don't go by the alias Stephen Jennings, do you?

LOL STJ!
STJ--are you sure you didn't fall asleep during the news and wake up (well, sort of wake up) to a trailer for an episode of NCIS--I'm sure that's what really happened--it'd have to be a very early episode since Gibbs was only a Sergeant.

Guthrie, Oklahoma? Why does that sound so familiar.

In some states they'd have cited him for keeping of poisonous snakes without a license. I think that Oregon is one of those states or maybe it was California--a guy I knew got busted for that--it wasn't a timber rattlesnake in his case it was one of the desert models.

I love bizzare news like that though...thanks John!

You shouldn't technically take any ibuprofen (which is what Motrin is) within 12 hours of taking naproxen (which is what Aleve is).

NSAIDs can be very hard on the stomach and you can also cause yourself liver issues.

This is not to say that people (ahem...me) have not done so. But there is definite risk. I suspect your health insurance has a 24 hour nurse line you can call for free if you want to check stuff like that, or you could also call the pharmacist that you use for any prescriptions you take.

I must be a man because I don't "do" baby showers!

I didn't get that person knocked up!

Baby showers are ridiculous!

So are bachelor and bacher-lette parties!

In my humble opinion every day should be a party.

I am sick of people nickle and dime-ing me to death!

Homey don't play that!

Denny... Denny! Tell me that wasn't you! You don't go by the alias Stephen Jennings, do you?

LOL STJ!
I've been thinking about this, STJ.

Umm, how do the cops know the snake and uranium are Stephen Jennings?

Maybe the snake and uranium were already in the truck when he stole it.

Just saying.

My Mom always tells me I would make a good lawyer!

It's fake news!
