I have no clue what order NoBite is going to post the pics, but there is a pic of my Dry Pond, Dominic and Princess Lily Belle. One pic of the neighbors DD's (well, at least 2 of the A-holes). The black Dane pup seems okay. I hope NB blows that pic up, so you can actually see their partial pack of dogs. But, if not, you can at least see I take pride in my property and the neighbors don't.

Spock,

Patience, Grasshopper!

Oh Boy!

Have I got a lot of backwards reading to do!?

I would rather just randomly rant.

I ran over another opossum, yesterday, after I dropped CP. The critter put me in an impossible situation. On coming traffic, two lane road, no shoulder and a ditch? Sorry little possum...

Told CP about it on the way to work. Then, she started blaming me for every dead possum we came upon!

:2surprise:

OK, computer people....I want to know why the little line running around in a circle which tells me a site is loading (MacBook) is sometimes grey and going counterclockwise, and other times is blue and moving clockwise......

I'm just asking because I'm sitting here waiting for the next refresh on the forum to display and am noticing the little things.

It seems to switch to blue after it has grabbed the page but before it gets it displayed completely. When I go to other sites, it seems to skip the grey circle and goes straight to a moving blue line

Good luck with info from me!

At work, I call the help desk and request a remote.

Maybe Auntie B can assist with your troubles. I am at her house right now and I knew I couldn't figure it out when I got here.

Since I bought the plane ticket and I am in Portland, she talked me into staying for a few more days!

Hi Mel

What is the current OS software that you are running?

Usually a free upgrade to whatever the best software is available takes care of most of these little "hitch in the git-alongs."

I installed OS 10.14.3 (Mojave) a while back and it relieved pretty much all of my down loading /uploading issues. I also upgraded both my Safari and Chrome afterwards.

Just a thought

OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

I been getting the little update Mojave prompts, but I always hate to update because it seems like every upgrade breaks something that was working before. It generally fixes some current problems, but I've learned how to live with them :)

And I'm an old fuddy-duddy (anyone who uses that word is automatically one.)

As far as I can tell the thing I was describing is pretty much confined to DT, which probably goes along with the slow loading stuff we've been seeing.

But you say you like Mojave?? I just might bite the bullet and upgrade then.

If I never come back to this forum, you can assume that I can't figure out how to, and that it is all 4X4's fault.

Half of my storage is "other"

But I think the porn may be either in pictures or movies :D and that is about a third of my storage. I'm kinda down to a minimum of apps, etc...I've gotten rid of as many of the pointless ones the laptop comes with as I can.

I just need to get the pictures and movies onto an external drive. We had a dual (or quad?? ) core backup thingy, but the cat knocked it off the shelf and killed it. Fortunately it was a true backup and everything was on the computer still.

I could use cloud I guess????

But I'm an old fuddy-duddy.

I was thinking that the dogs were lucky they weren't shot.
I PROBABLY should not post this up - But will - Back when I was around 17 or 18 = many moons ago ! We built a new fence on part of our feed lot for cattle - the very next day - a pack of 5 dogs got in the lot and were chasing the cattle around and ran them threw the brand new fence - banged up a few cattle , but they were OK - My mom and a neighbor saw the whole thing go down - that's how we knew there was 5 . Dad was pizzed beyond pizzed ! Spent another day fixing the fence - he told me they would be back and keep a eye out and to put my gun near the back door - next to his . The next day - after finishing eating lunch - I just happened to look out the back window - over looking the feed lot and there they were - cutting across the neighbors field - headed right to us - I yelled to dad - there they are ! Coming across Henry's field ! We grabbed out guns and out the door we went - I went to the south side of the barn - Dad went to the North side - I was lead - our thinking was after I first shot - they would come around the other side to get the hell out of dodge - my friends - it worked like a charm - long story short - 5 dogs didn't leave . I really hated to do it - yet even our cattle were like family - they had hurt a few + a thousand bucks or so to fix the new fence - they all were town dogs - once they start this - there is only 2 ways to fix it - try and find owners - or sleepy time for the dogs -
