It's a tiny needle. Not quite as small as an acupuncture needle, but small. There are a few that go kind of by the bridge of the nose, then some up high by the hairline in the forehead, some on the temples, some on the back of the skull, some on the shoulders. I got a couple of extra in a muscle on the back of the neck. The ones on the tops of the shoulders are the most uncomfortable, but they are still only a little painful.

Needles...

I am so used to them, I don't give it a second thought.

As a kid I got frequent injections for allergy desensitizing. That was back in the day when needles and syringes were not disposable. The were sterilized in an autoclave. Occasionally, one would get a dull needle that should have been tossed a long time ago. Ouch!

When I recently had about 1 1/2 cups of fluid removed from my knee, the needle was so huge, that they topically anesthetized the areas of insertion. The nurse said That I should probably avert my eyes. I just laughed and told her not to worry.

Headaches...
I think I have mentioned this before, but my mother had headaches her entire life. Sometimes a dull throb and other times so incapacitating that she would disappear for the entire day. She did her best to hide it from us. It wasn't until I was a teen that I realized the extent of how much this affected her life.

STJ!

Wow MeadowCat...all that you do; the dogs, your sewing (I know how much you do during fall and winter), taking care of a household in spite of your headaches...

Respect.

Hope those shots do the job.

You guys are kind to say that, and I do work hard, but I also have an amazing husband who does an amazing job taking care of me, too. He has a super hard job and works like crazy and still has no problem stepping up to do anything I need when I don't feel well - I got the better end of the deal, believe me!

(Incidentally, it's our anniversary today - 20 years! Time flies)

Happy anniversary MC!

Congratulations on 20 years.

I'm really big on marriage and making it work.

42 years here in September. My parents were married same day they graduated from college and remained married until the day my mother died. About 60 years....

Congrats on upcoming 42 years - that's awesome! We got married right after college...we'd been dating for a few years in high school and then throughout college, too, so it's been quite a long time together. I definitely got the better end of the deal!

LDi and Fam-eH-Lee out having some fun, with the grand-daughters...looks like fun.
- what good memories, are built from

Beau not a Watermelon face - never had on farm, growing up...but I see the attraction.
- as a kid, all that sticky crap on my face...wasn't for me

Edit - 10 years ago,
Papa and Andrew and his date...was at a local Saturday Night Garage Band party.
- the topic of having 5 kids, came up LOL
- Dad said, "don't expect your parents to be Full-Time & FREE sitters...Mon to Friday"
- "if wife goes back to work // no abusing our retirement...just remember that"
- Parenthood comes with "inherent Responsibility & ownership" choices
- we gave you a most wonderful life, because we had the Funds & Time...to only raise 1 kid with all the wonderful perks & attention...we never had
