Sorry, LaDi, I don't buy that is your leg pic.
We want to see leg plus a foot connected, complete with nail polish.

Piano tuner coming this afternoon. I expect a headache tonight.

My son always wants it tuned to some weird temperament, so the tuner has to work for his money. Still, I think he likes the break from the monotony of tuning to the same temperament over and over.

Steven's been requesting Werckmiester III; now he wants the piano tuned to the Young temperament. I dunno--I can't really hear it, and our piano isn't very good, so I'm not sure whether it makes that big a difference.

Edited to add...not Werckmeister III...he's been using Kernberger III. Like that makes a difference to me. *rolls eyes*

(What I understood in BLUE....)

Even when I look it up, I can't understand it......

Werckmeister temperaments are the tuning systems described by Andreas Werckmeister in his writings.[1][2][3] The tuning systems are numbered in two different ways: the first refers to the order in which they were presented as "good temperaments" in Werckmeister's 1691 treatise, the second to their labelling on his monochord. The monochord labels start from III since just intonation is labelled I and quarter-comma meantone is labelled II.

The tunings I (III), II (IV) and III (V) were presented graphically by a cycle of fifths and a list of major thirds, giving the temperament of each in fractions of a comma. Werckmeister used the organbuilder's notation of ^ for a downwards tempered or narrowed interval and v for an upward tempered or widened one. (This appears counterintuitive - it is based on the use of a conical tuning tool which would reshape the ends of the pipes.) A pure fifth is simply a dash. Werckmeister was not explicit about whether the syntonic comma or Pythagorean comma was meant: the difference between them, the so-called schisma, is almost inaudible and he stated that it could be divided up among the fifths.

That makes two of us. And I've even listened to my son's attempt to explain it in lay person's terms. Still incomprehensible. The piano tuner and he had a good discussion--I think. At least, they seemed to be having fun. It's actually rather fascinating to listen to two fanatics discuss something, even if you have no idea what they're saying.

Hey SP,

Did you and the Mister check out the JD Quik Trak standup mowers?

John Deere Quik Trak Mowers

I was at county tax assessor's office first thing this morning and saw some "migrants" running these Quik Traks around the business park lawns with unbelievable speed and maneuverability! They run about $4.5K...ooh...

For some reason, I thought of SP sitting at home groveling with the Mister for the JD zTrak keys....

Thank you very much for thinking of me!

However, I like a good seat.

Oh! And, music and a beer.

I will stick with my little JD in the yard and give him a hard time, forever, when he is the first one to hurt the new one!

I have a plan...

See?

I am okay!

Will be okay.

I have friends in the Twin Lakes area North of me that have lost their homes. Corrosion of the river.

I have co-workers that couldn't get to work for a day or two. No road for them.

It's crazy weather around here!

I am Kansas Tough. I will be smart!

It is irritating being a Oklahoma resident!

What? No Basements?

It's actually rather fascinating to listen to two fanatics discuss something, even if you have no idea what they're saying.

Morning all.........I have been up since 4AM........somebody does not recognize weekends and wanted to play ball.
No not Scott........it was Hoss.........anyway.......
So good morning everyone.
So who is bold enough to show some feet today.........
AJ I am with you regarding pedicures.........I do not like anyone taking instruments to my feet.
One time I convinced Scott to get a manicure-pedicure done....he hated it............so do I..............no thanks.
