So a funny story (sort of);

A while back, my wife was working in Southern Kenya on a photoshoot for a Nike philanthropic event. They build schools and hospitals for girls and young women. She was the producer.

They were staying in a Masai village. The whole group had good security, mostly German. However in the village they were guarded by Masai "warriors".

These guys are mostly close to 7' tall and very tough. Their weapon of choice is a 24" handmade sword. We have one.

So... As Nancy can't sit still (She just ran the Tokyo Marathon at 65 yo), She had a Masai guard with her at all times.

She goes out for a walk. When she returns to the village, she sees a goat tied up to a stake. She says to her bodyguard: "I guess that's not a pet".

He responds with: "No.... She's dinner".

STJ!

Edit for video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nojoC5twXUs
John - I couldn't understand a damn thing they were saying ! At first - I thought they were going to the tune - walk like a Egyptian !

Don't make me make Ma go dig it up!

I do lurk from time to time but I've been busy. Every year I take some time off work this time of year - to do some yard work, to (hopefully) enjoy some of the brief spring weather, and most importantly, to take a break from work. Yesterday I took a drive out to Dover, TN, and did some fishing for the first time in years...it was very foggy most of the morning and all I caught were some small bass (water was stained from the rains and water levels were 3-4 feet below normal so not good)...Today it's blue skies and a forecasted high of 80 so in about 30 minutes Mocha and I are headed to the park for a 4-miler. Then it's about time for us to move all our plants out of the garage onto the deck, we've watered them all winter and had a grow light on them and they look like they all survived, after that it's time to start planting the lantana, portacula, and whatever other flowers my wife wants in the deck planter boxes this year. Oh, and I've got a lot of fence to power wash & stain sometime before it gets too hot (I'm doing some serious procrastinating with that project )
And there you have TN's exciting life to date LOL

An elderly golfer comes in after a good round of golf at the new course and heads straight to the bar/restaurant area of the club house.

As he passes through the swinging doors, he spots a sign hanging over the bar that reads:

COLD BEER: $5.00
HAMBURGER: $10.00
CHEESEBURGER: $15.50
CHICKEN SANDWICH : $18.50
HAND JOB: $250.00

Checking his wallet to be sure he has the necessary money, the old golfer walks up
to the bar and beckons to the exceptionally attractive female bartender who is serving drinks to a couple of sun-wrinkled golfers.

She glides down behind the bar across from the old golfer.
“Yes?” she inquires with a wide, knowing smile. “ May I help you sir?”

The old golfer leans over the bar and whispers, “I was wondering young lady, are you the one who gives the hand-jobs around here?”

She looks into his wrinkled eyes and with a wide smile purrs, “Yes sir, I sure am.”

The old golfer leans in even closer and into her left ear says softly, “Well then, be sure to wash your hands really, really good, because I want a cheeseburger.”

I also need to remove as much of the old stain as possible. If I was just wanting to clean the fence (mold, algae etc) I'd probably use something like this (as long as it was safe for plants and flowers). So I think pressure wash it is

Great decision on the old timer part......$250 does seem a little expensive.

Maybe thats Canadian prices ......

Good one AJ........

Gas station attendant sees a pro golfer get out of his car on way to tournament,
when he gets out of his car 2 tee’s hit the ground.
The attendant asks the golfer, what are those for ?
Golfer answers, I put my balls on it when I am driving…
attendant replies, “ That Henry Ford thought of everything”

Looks like maybe they've downgraded MC's storm???

We're still forecast to get an inch or so this evening, with a high wind warning (about 30 mph) But it's almost clear, bright blue sky, 51 degrees and dead calm right now. Hmmmm.....

Kenny everyone knows that you and I are both charter members of the "ain't quite right" club.

I think I've got some leftover, out of date pred from one of the dogs...I could send you that (just joking here too!)

I guess it's time to go out and see if I can wield the weed whacker...Mel, I think they did downgrade that thing that was supposed to be a monster storm and I was hoping for rain all day here so I didn't have to go weed whack.

I'm off to whack the grass--sorry Denny no snakes here--I don't think I'm fast enough to get a squirrel with the weed eater....

Well, now it's 35, spitting rain with snow pellets, some wind, and they're predicting white-out blizzard conditions tonight as you head toward Denver.

Generally Denver and Colorado Springs are in two different weather systems....either they get the storms or the Springs does, but my house is sorta on the dividing line, so we'll see what we end up with.

And Minnesota is back in the storm system. I dunno, maybe the Minnesota weather report I looked at earlier was a misprint.

And Minnesota is back in the storm system. I dunno, maybe the Minnesota weather report I looked at earlier was a misprint.
Snowing now, and we just got "upgraded" to a winter storm warning. Right now they are predicting 8-12 inches. Some school districts in southern MN are already cancelled for tomorrow and have sent kids home today because the roads are so bad. We'll see what it looks like later today and tomorrow. Sigh.

What the hell happened to, "It's Spring!"

Chance of snow in the Oklahoma panhandle. Nothing like CC has been predicted to get.

Good evening, all!

I got all the crazy people calls today! Really? Trying to tell a Fortune 500 company how to do their business? Okay, see you after the full moon! The crazies start coming out earlier and earlier, these days! Full moon won't be here for another week and a half-ish.

Seems everyone in our department gets their own personal day of dealing with crazy and problematic days! I got ALL the crazy and problem calls! Today was my day!

But, I got through it.

CP and I made it home safely.

Oh! And, I got flipped off in the OnQue parking lot at lunch today!

She was pulling out of the drive through and then stopped and blocked anyone trying to cross over to another store. She was yapping to her buddy in a mini van. Her buddy was facing my direction so I gave her 45 seconds to notice me with my hands up in the air. Honked at the driver, and she gave me the finger. I should have been giving her the finger!

LMAO

I guess she was having a very bad day, because she jumped when I tapped the horn 2 short times. Like beep, beep.

What a thrilling day!

FUNNY...

John Hadley
February 3

I went to the Walmart today , and I was there for literally 5 minutes.

When I came out there was a state trooper writing a parking ticket for being in a handicap spot.

So I went up to him and said, "Come on, buddy, how about giving a guy a break?"
He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. So I called him a pencil-necked cop. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for worn tires!

So I then asked him if his psychiatrist makes him lie face down on the couch cause he's so ugly.
He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket!

This went on until he had placed 5 tickets on the winshield... the more I insulted him, the more tickets he wrote. I didn't care. My car was parked around the corner.

Another FUNNY...

Anthony Hanson
March 14 at 12:56 PM

Jack, a handsome man, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 pm. He sat down next to this blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV as the 10:00 news came on. The news crew was covering a story of a man on a ledge of a large building preparing to jump.

The blonde looked at Jack and said, "Do you think he'll jump?"

Jack says, "You know what, I bet he will." The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't." Jack placed $30 on the bar and said, "You're on!"

Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy did a swan dive off of the building, falling to his death. The blonde was very upset and handed her $30 to Jack, saying, "Fair's fair... Here's your money."

Jack replied, "I can't take your money, I saw this earlier on the 5 o'clock news and knew he would jump."

The blonde replies, "I did too; but I didn't think he'd do it again."

Jack took the money.
