Good Afternoon Chickens , I have been going petal to the metal for several weeks ... looking forward to a little break.
Congrats on the anniversary Di , you know what they say about the 22nd year?!! at least that what everyone said to me and my girl after our first anniversary about the coming year and quite a few after that. They did not think we would last...almost 30yrs later

That girl SD posted doing what we called "shot gunning a beer" thankfully that young gentleman was there to keep from spilling that beer on the floor. On most East coast beaches they do not allow drinking of alcohol on the sand , pretty much how we would put them down back in the kiddo days.

Heard a rumor that the stork is bring back some actual Chicks this summer ...that could put this thread on track

Ahhh, what a nice day for me - I have the best husband! He smoked some pork chops on the grill (with a grill finish...pure smoking doesn't leave them with the nice crisp finish). Smoked some potatoes and onions down in the coals. Homemade sauce to go with the chops. Delicious! I made an apple crisp to go with it. It's a bit chilly out today, so I threw the Chuck-it ball for the dogs for a while in the yard, and now we're all stuffed and tired and just being lazy on the couch. Couldn't be better!

Re....the BH stuff...it's just when a word gets used ad nauseum that it gets to be too much. Though some are too much from the beginning.

ECIN, the weed problem is in the lawn, not the "natural" area. Thistles I can keep from flourishing by keeping them from blooming by mowing, it's just that their stubs can be a bit of a pain to step on. It's mostly that I was trying for a lawn that was reasonably troublefree instead of having to get out and weed a couple times a year.

The stuff in the front of my picture (in case you thought those were thistles) is yellow yarrow, which is probably also considered a weed (it's spreads like the dickens here.) But it blooms nicely and has some height to it, (and the deer don't eat it) so I like it where it is.

Just ignore the livestock behind

Another view of my swing set (and the yarrow). We've since pulled down the deck and put up a new one, very similar, but not falling down.

Why thank you all.
Of course, that's only during the green season; the rest of the time it's brown, brown.

Or like this:

(That's actually from a few years ago, before we redid the roof. We had a gutter problem.)

Cold. But one goes with the other, unfortunately.

LDi was up at 5:30 this morning, dragging Hoss arce out of bed.
- probably back from walk now // hope the knee, is standing up

BabyBear did a Finance coarse @ an Ivy school // he all school'ed up, on Papa.
- but Dad still carries his own weight, when we chat business strategies & life in general
- he told Beau, I was a smart "Macro thinker" last night...still felt pretty good
- hearing it from him / a SMRT chicken Hawk...who would of thunk it !!
The Mrs67 just laughs at the 2 of us, once we get on a roll.

In order to prank the two CT ladies (Cuz & YKW), always drooling over pictures of BB, why don't you pick up one of these shirts for him to wear in a funny photo op?

(And don't tell the ladies- keep it QT...)

Gotta go and get Spocko ready for his "school" this morning....

Green grass for the last few week / and a 2" snow dump, on the weekend.

The dogs waiting for Mommy, as she drives home from grocery shopping...they get so excited, on her return.
- both little dogs, had a 3 night sleep over // while Andrew was attending school
- these 2 make me laugh

HaHa SD - that would be funny, but I'm not skillful enough to pull off the bait display.
- he values some form of privacy
- so the CH-Cougars, will have to accept, what PapaBear is allowed to post
- all in good taste

Ha! I just typed out a really long PM to dobebug about it. I don't want to bore everyone. It's been about 2 weeks. I had one really good week (a HUGE blessing), then I've had one week of so-so...have been back to having a headache every day, but it's been pretty mild. Trying not to be discouraged and thinking it's not working, and really hoping I go back to having some more of those really good weeks again, so any good thoughts/prayers/vibes...whatever you have there is much appreciated. They do say that the second round of Botox (that's 12 weeks from the first) tends to be more effective so I will do another regardless.
