You can always tell how revved up a dobe is by how beady their eyes are! Look at those eyes gleam!!!! LOL!

No, no, no. Itís not a sheep. Heís not even dressed as Eeyore, which is what most people think when they see the picture.

I always made my kids Halloween costumes, not using any pattern, just sweats appropriately decorated, some kind of homemade hood (went with the character + a warm head), plus face makeup and a few extra props to make them look like whatever....itís cold here at Halloween and so many store-bought things are so flimsy. Plus theyíre usually such unimaginative things, like princesses and Superheroes, with those stupid plastic masks. Some costumes I remember making were a dog, a flop-eared bunny, a zebra, Robin Hood--my favorite and best creation was a dragon. That costume was so cool!!

Kip wore the lop-eared bunny costume for a halloween costume contest here on DT, with a $50 prize!!!! He looked so meek and miserable--And he WON!!!! About the first time Iíd ever won anything with a money prize.

Speaking of which (the Halloween costume part), I think the best costume my son ever wore was the year he dressed up in dark, somber looking clothes, took along a huge stack of papers and forms, rang the bell and told the person answering the door, ďHello, Iím from the IRS and Iíve come to audit your tax returns.Ē

Scariest costume I can think of.

A long sleeved tan sweatshirt, with a cute little white fake fur tail sewn on, a white fur tummy, and mittens with white fur on the undersides and brown tops completed the costume. (My daughter of course, also wore tan sweat pants--but they didn’t fit Kip.)

If photobucket hadn’t eaten my pictures, I’d show you a full shot, but the original doesn’t seem to be stored on this computer. Somewhere else, I guess.....

Photo bucket probably ate it because it was too cute! You know you give up your copyrights to everything on this site and photobucket unless you pusblish it first someplace else first like on your own website.

Kip sure liked to play Mr. Dress-up with Mom...and $50 to boot ).

Our sons 2nd Halloween, he was dressed up as a Doctor...at 2.2 years old.
- white lab coat / stethoscope around his neck, the whole 9 yards...he was a little cutie, all dressed up
- after a few house visits and getting all the free candy, son thought this was the best outing ever
- son on Dads hip, climbing the neighbor house steps...knock on door & receive sugar gifts
- that night, it was raining, we stayed out for 45 minutes
- until sons cheeks were red, from the bitter cold temperature
- and he didn't want to go home..."No-No-No Dad, more-more candy"
^^ Mom had stayed home with our 1st Dober girl Tanya, giving out candy...she was happy to see us return.

Here's another one of my favorite factoids:
Most folks know there is only one chromosome pair difference separating humans from gorillas. it's gorillas that have 24, we have 23. But guess what? A while ago it was noticed that we have the same 24 pairs but 2 of our "ape chromosome pairs" actually smashed or fused together , so we only have 23! Funny stuff huh? I think it is Chromosome#2.
I remember it because "2 fused on 2". lol! People used to give my dad gorillas because they said he looked just like one. He was a broad-shouldered, hairy Irishman.

One of lifes little jokes on me today: Hiccups!
Hiccups and bruised ribs! Funny but painful! I had everyone in my family laughing today. Then, the dog junped up out me to see what was wrong with me.

PT - my mom use to tell us kids to hold our breath, to stop hiccups.
- only worked half-a**ed

My wife had a better cure, from her mom.
- get a glass of water
- tip your head down and drink...it does cure hiccups.

We lived in city, same house for 32 years...neglected 2 story house we renovated from top to bottom & built on a beautiful 14x21 ft. sun room, nice cedar deck & 24x30 ft. custom garage (with NG furnace & AC).
- but one bathroom up the steps
- bed rooms, up the steps
- washer & dryer, in basement
Few years ago, move into a 1960's brick bungalow / everything on main floor.
- much nicer
And unfortunately, family farm gone 30 years ago...it was 2 hour drive away, but good memories.

Well, I thank-you for the update! I have a bad habit of doubting myself, scrolling up to conversation and looking in the wrong place to get my names straight! I knew it was Beaumont but it was your reply and I typed in the wrong name AGAIN!! What a knucklehead!
