Just wait til tonight after you've celebrated the New Year, then I bet you'll be ready to try a biscuit (or two, or maybe a champagne bottle), but your balance may be off a bit.

Currently 13 F, -11 F windchill. Grey skies with light blowing snow. It's supposed to get down to -6 F tonight.

I think the F might stand for something other than Fahrenheit.

Winter has finally arrived, I guess.

Hate to be a Debby Downer, but you won't see her for about 4 days after that. Fireworks go off for at least 4 more days around here. And! We have Impact Fireworks about a mile from us, at the crow flies.

Right after I bought my house, a truck with dragging chains started a brush fire. A co-worker got wind of it and, while I was in training, whispered the news in my ear. Left training and went to the break room. Watched on live news a fire heading my house's way and that firework place, as well.

I didn't cry, but I was sick to my stomach.

First thoughts were, "Crap! I have no money to rebuild. I just bought a house!"

Before you all get your motors running... I have crappy house insurance. It's hard to find a good insurance company that will insure a mobile home hybrid.

(see how I twisted my mobile home's stature?) For the record! It's half mobile home and half house.!

Insurance may pay the loan off, after that I am on my own.

I went back and looked for the BH # for ECIN. All I could find is Good John's and Bad John's and Stop That John's.....You know, we were funny back then. Emphasis back then.

I DID find this short post...it didn't get many thanks then. Maybe I'll try it again:

"Looking up lawnmowers to prove they are male. [ed: We were trying to decide if Denny was bi or what following her lawnmower porn shot] Ran across this synopsis:

"The plot of Stephen King's 1975 short story "The Lawnmower Man" concerns Harold Parkette, who hires "Pastoral Greenery and Outdoor Services Inc." to cut his lawn. The serviceman who arrives to do the job has a lawnmower that mows the lawn by itself while he crawls, naked, behind the mower, eating the grass. The serviceman himself is actually a satyr who worships the Greek god Pan. When Parkette tries to call the police, the mower and its owner ritually kill him as a sacrifice to Pan.”

It's still just as weird as it was the first time I posted it.
