Tricksy, tricksy.......

I thought you and I were on diametrically opposed schedules.

Just got back from dog walk. There are times when it is NOT nice to have so many deer in the neighborhood. DogDog's on a leash, but it is the wrong time of year to try to chase big bucks off the sidewalk in front of you. Our deer aren't even remotely afraid of people...they seem to know when a dog is on a leash, so they stand there and stare, and let YOU walk out in the street to get around THEM.

For Mel

Psychologists Confirm People Who Decorate For Christmas Early Are Happier, So Now You Have Justification

If you were one of those families who had their tree decorated and the Christmas village out and in full swing by Nov. 1, you might be in luck. According to experts, decorating for Christmas early may make you happier, so you might want to consider pulling your garlands and gigantic Santa statues down from the attic a bit sooner.

"In a world full of stress and anxiety, people like to associate to things that make them happy, and Christmas decorations evoke those strong feelings of the childhood," psychoanalyst Steve McKeown told Unilad. "Decorations are simply an anchor or pathway to those old childhood magical emotions of excitement. So putting up those Christmas decorations early extends the excitement!" That seems logical enough.

Typical psycho-babble It's not the childhood associations....just the fun of being done with all the stressful shopping and decorating, and being able to sit back and enjoy the season--and watch other people scurry around madly at the last minute

The intel about decorating earlier .....Papa does this include a cattail Christmas tree?
And I want to know........what is it with dudes that show little interest one way or the other regarding decorating....curious any of you dudes actually like to decorate ?
Just curious if its just the men in my life of what ......but it just appears to be a woman chore around my house....
Cuz

So polling question ....Dudes....do you really like to decorate?

LDi - "woman chore" such a sexist comment......so hard done by aren't we.
- all a give & take LOL

And NO
- BeauBear no longer decorates the Xmas tree / as we no longer put up a formal one
- I helped decorate and get into the spirit, when BabyBear was little / for his fun
..."twas a long time ago"

Pissing myself here // U girls aren't the only Lassie, in town...good awareness, on MEL (?).
- I wondered who would pickup on that

And Dad did an extra good photo shoot, for you silly chicks / now your gonna have to
wait till BabyBear spring project continues.
- FM withdrawal time, now

Well, marathon sewing, a little turkey...survived the weekend. Barely. So beyond exhausted I don't know what to call myself, and now back to my "real" job...having fun yet???

At least I got out to walk the dogs a few times and one trip to the park for them to have a good run, so someone is happy

Questions for Meadowcat :

1. How long does it take you to sew up one coat - from start to finish ?

2. I have looked at your sweaters a million times - How do you put them on - do you side them over the head and then there legs - or are they Velcro

3. Do you do favorites ? Like - If I were to say grease your pocket - would we go to the front of the line ?

4. If were to turn in a order - and told you what I would like - could you get the material - as I don't have a clue about ordering any material .

5. What would a start of the art - one of a kind - that would be the envy of everybody on this site cost - round about idea is fine or you can PM on that - Remember this is for Mr. Business - cost is no object - anyway that sounds good ! - I love the one you did for Baron in his birthday picture just posted - yet need to up that annite to a new level

6. Thanks - You have a great talent !

I can't answer TOO many questions, because the forum has a "no self-promotion" rule. So, with that in mind, my answers are...the sewing time really varies depending on the type of coat. Could be anywhere from 15 minutes to closer to an hour.

They simply slip on over the head. I had enough questions about that that one of my customers (and a forum member here) made a video, lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBBq...9zdEZFlGypaDj0

Orders are placed on my list when they are paid, and completed in the order received...no "fast fees", no "favorites."

Always happy to help someone find just the right thing for their dog!
