Funny you put that up Di ! Have been picking sweet corn most of the morning - Had the radio in the F-150 cranking on SiriusXM Classic Vinyl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were rocking and rolling !

Picked around 10 or 12 dozen this morning - trying something different this year - freezing whole ears ! This afternoon - will boil some up and shave it off and put in freezer bags .

Lots of lose this year !! Hot and dry got 2 numbers - Probably picked a 100 dozen so far - will lose 3 or 4 times that amount !

Back to work !

Talking dozens Di - 10 or 12 = 120 to 144 ears I pulled this morning - had out about 3/4 of an acre - had planter set for 19,000 plants PER acre - So had out - give or take 14,250 plants of sweet corn or if it all made it - 1,187 dozen ! As I said - the hot and dry weather really hit it - will lose ? 2/3rds maybe a little less - May be able to pull another 25 to 30 dozen - I just raise it for ****'s and giggles , most go's to family and friends .

He's serous! Portland is the place where the craft brewery was invented.

During the annual beer festival every summer I always regret that I'm not a beer drinker. Never really was and now I don't drink much of anything at all.

I like an icey beer with a gooey blistering hot pizza--pepperoni, sausage, olives and onions with lots of sauce and not buried in cheese. But one of those once a summer is good enough for me.

Other than that I'll settle for a dark beer (are they even still beer?) like Black Butte to go with a big bowl of beef stew, carne asada or chile verde.

I liked going on the Mexican boat deliveries because when you got far enough away from the states (at least on the West coast) you could get beer in little tiny bottles (maybe 3 or 4 ounces--but in Mexico it was listed as ml not oz.) So they were exceedingly cheap and they were cold and stayed cold long enough for even me to drink a whole one. And I like Mexican beer better than American beer.

DANG! Now I'm dying to make a big pot of chile verde--but in the name of getting my blood pressure down my doctor put me on some meds and gave me a ream of paper describing the kind of diet I should be eating (mostly it looks like something designed to turn me into a vegetarian-and get me to cook everything without any salt.) I like vegetables and I love salads but everything tastes the same without salt even when I throw handsful of herbs and spices into or on them.

Rats...

Yepper that's me !!! That's my Hoss/handler mug shot photo ID .....I do not think I have told you this yet but I have a major hearing loss in one ear ..had some major surgeries on it ...resulted in a 80 percent hearing loss ..so when you do not have equal hearing in both ears it results in balance issues and I displace sound. For instance... I can hear a siren and think its ahead of me ...when the sound is actually coming from behind me .....so he is my service dog.......my surgeon drafted some letters that qualified me for a service dog under the American Disability Act ...so he alerts me to sounds ......and I use him for stability when we are out and about......he is the perfect height for me.....I am almost 6 feet tall...so my hands touch his shoulders perfectly......
Oh....a month or so ago we were out walking early in the AM and I lost my footing on the sidewalk .....he broke my fall.... and sat down by my side until I was able to get my azz up off the ground....glad no one saw that .........LOL .....I will have to send you some PICs in his vest sometime.......

LD, if you don't want to post your pics as a thumbnail (which people have to click on to see larger), you can pick a larger option on flickr. Medium works pretty well on this forum (up to 640 x 480).

I like the graduation picture....what degrees does he have so far?

Morning Peeps!

I haven't even pulled a backwards read, like Aunt B.

Just jumping in.

Why am I furniture shopping when Fiona hasn't gotten her crap out yet?

I really don't have the money, but. There is really no "but".

A girl can daydream, right?

I thought about Mister and I going Estate Sale shopping today. I don't have the energy and I really don't have the money. Work is kicking my A$$!

Mister and I had a "sort" of date last evening. Walmart, grocery store and ice cream at Braums. We only lost each other once at Wallyworld. We had some fun racing shopping carts when the aisles would allow. Woo Hoo! Guthrie fun!

I was really proud of myself!

Only spent $50 dollars. Mister did the same!

As soon as Fiona gets out and I get a guest room set up, anyone want to come visit?

Just thinking here again - 400 and 85 degree's here today - So a good day to do some book work - Then it hit me ! I wonder if all them A-holes that send me all these bills ever get as tried as I do sending them back to them - If they would just cut that out then look and the millions they would save on postage - and all the return letters they buy ! Plus - I would have some money to go buy Kadin a new collar !!

Aren”t I special.....my son came over .....my husband and I sat with him ....drank a beer........ahhhhhhhh....nothing like a really cold beer. (From the freezer cold) after some yard work........so now ...checking in with the chickens........what’s for dinner ECIN!!!!!! Corn??????? Corn bread?????

Response for Mel.....
CGC....but I still continue to take him to ongoing classes sponsored thru our local city municipal programs once per week ...in these classes lots of activity going on....after school programs.....skate park, tennis, basketball courts....smart azzz teenagers , everyone coming and going....just find that ongoing classes of any type keeps him and I sharp and in tune with one another. Great way to get out of the house and burn some calories together and meet some new people. This graduation was intermediate class....at the ceremony ...red carpet and graduation music......I watched a lady cry over her poodle’s success...... nasty little dog....quite snarly in the class!!!!!LOL Quite funny at times.....
