Damn-- he's a good looking boy Rad ! I love his eye's !
Aw shucks...thanks! Those eyes are DANGEROUS. It's hard to stay mad at him when he misbehaves...and he knows it.

Quote:
OMG! Look at that water! (Gasp!) I can see Radar's Tootsies!

LOVE IT. I forgot how pretty the water is in Minnesota!
Yes! I am fortunate to live near a lot of really nice lakes - this one is one of the "high class" type lakes (you gotta have a 6+ figure income to live there...) but luckily, they have a "dog beach" near the public swimming beach and boat launch. It's surprisingly clear, and nice and shallow, so Radar doesn't actually have to *swim*.

Quote:
How deep did YOU go, Rad's Mom?

Wish I had vacation to spare. I would be knocking at your door, if I did!

And, what is your exact address again?
I didn't go too deep - we only had the 6ft leash this time (I can't seem to remember where the 20ft one went...), so we were limited by how deep Radar wanted to go. He is comfortable going almost to where his chin touches the water - any farther than that and he might actually have to learn how to swim! Plus, I had my phone with me, so I couldn't really swim. The water felt great on swollen feet/ankles though! I made it in to about hip-level, but Radar made sure to cover me in water with a couple close passes through the shallower water. We both ended up soaked.

PM me for address...but you might have to share a bed with Radar! Our house is a tiny construction zone at the moment...

Quote:
Hey Radar.......Hoss has really been diving deep to retrieve his toys ....out of the water...after Radar swims do you clean his ears with anything........or just let it be.......
I'm not sure what you would use - Radar won't put his head in the water, he mostly just splashes around. I usually clean out his ears with q-tips as needed - he falls asleep right in my lap. His ears stay pretty clean, except after a wrestling match at the dog park with Murphy. You could probably use any kind of ear cleaner, and a cotton ball/q-tip, depending on Hoss's level of cooperation.

Quote:
Good morning 6-7 ! Sounds like you have been busy up Nort - get that job done - come on down - I have plenty of painting to get done
Ooooh - hey Beau, my house could use some painting too - feel free to come down anytime! Radar said he will help!

I hate to ASK - anybody like the color ??
- when I was 16, painting a wood chair manufacturing company, with my Twin
- we had to ask all the women, what color they wanted their restroom painted
- in the end, we picked the color ourselves / I realized at an early age, FM's can agree with their co-workers
- so don't shoot the Beau

We do get a lot of hail in early summer though. Usually none of it is very big, but as you can see, sometimes a lot of it will come down at once.

Shakespeare for the day....SP, I thought of you especially

ECIN, we cross posted.

SP was last on 6/20/18; her last post was at 8:00 PM. So that's not so long ago.

Maybe she's gotten some new fowl and is busy wiping little chickie hineys.

So this just wandered through our yard.

I had to stop and gawp at it before I even thought to grab the camera, so this is all YOU get to see strolling by, though.

Oversized too. Must be a Warlock dobe from a BYB. That's why we tell people to buy from a reputable breeder.

And those are rocks in someone's landscaping, LD. But I had to look at it extra closely to be sure once you pointed them out to me.

MEL - you SMRT, and decided not to wait for Beau to paint your CH door.
- so one person of the "want list"...

6-7 added an electronic & wireless, front door bell today (with 2 plug in chimers).
- cheap Amazon purchase, works great / saved a few hours, not fishing low voltage wire in insulated walls

Hm. Probably euro lines. You can tell because of the size and extra muscle mass.
dobebug and ECIN like this.

Cool

6-7 added an electronic & wireless, front door bell today (with 2 plug in chimers).
- cheap Amazon purchase, works great / saved a few hours, not fishing low voltage wire in insulated walls[/QUOTE]

Do you folks actually get company ?

Research tells me that:

"All grizzlies are brown bears, but not all brown bears are grizzlies. The grizzly is a North American subspecies of brown bear with the Latin name Ursus arctos horribilis. The correct scientific name for a grizzly is “brown bear,” but only coastal bears in Alaska and Canada are generally referred to as such, while inland and Arctic bears and those found in the lower 48 States are called grizzly bears. Black bears can come in brown too."

Anyway, Colorado officially does not have Grizzlies now (once in a while someone reports seeing one, but it is usually discredited, unless the person is a conspiracy theorist.) This guy/gal didn't have a big hump on his shoulders, either.

Another tidbit from online:
"...only 50% of black bears in the Rocky Mountains are black"

So he was a brown Black Bear

I wish I were better at estimating weight though. Any hints?
I'm thinking about 200 pounds. Seems to me he looked just a bit less than twice as bulky as a mastiff. Maybe a teenager, or a girl.
