Can't go wrong with this entertaining group! Thanks, all!

Howdy TN,

Sorry to hear the bass boat is gone. That is kind of sad.

I am getting to the age, where I am craving a pontoon boat. And, a gaited horse...

I can't afford it right now. Need a barn to put the pontoon and horses in while in storage during winter months... Then I would need to hire someone to house/horse sit while I am pontoon-ing.

I am IMPRESSED with that picture.

Where in the world did you find it? Were you there in person to see this magnificent creation? Or even involved in creating it?

No, don't know them, just credit Google search technology....

(I originally was searching for a picture of a real horse on a pontoon boat, but this one popped up!)

Sounds like my searches...it’s amazing what you can find that way.

I won’t go into details about the time I couldn’t figure out how to set up my son’s swing-set and googled “swing-set erection”.

30 years ago, we had a nice lady babysitting our son, an hour before & after school.
- her daughter was also a classmate with our son, in Grade1
- their house bordered on the back of the public school property

Her husband was a Ford Assembly worker, and off work with a sore back.
- making 95% of his pay, to stay home and a jack of all trades
- over the summer months, he built a pontoon boat...out of 55 gallon drums
- a local news paper man was driving by and thought the pontoon boat build, in a mans driveway
- would be an great news article, to showcase in paper
- the pontoon builder had a big ego and jumped at the interview & photo shoot
- a week later, our babysitters husband was the cover story on the local city paper

^^ Ford HR also read the front page news article, builder had to go back to work...after 7 months off.
- a year later, he rooked the Ford system again
- on nut-house leave (for 2 decades), until he drank himself to death...The Boat House Man

Anyone watching the MLB Home Run Derby - NYY rookie Aaron Judge, leading with 23 zingers ??

Everyone needs to put their seat belt on. I am changing the subject.

This is directed at Beau.

The torture will be over soon, everyone else.

Beau,

So, Clara, the woman I work with trying to unload the Craftsman was on vacation last week and hit me up this morning.

She originally said she wanted 5 for it. I assumed she would take 3 (because she just wanted it out of her garage). Today, I asked if she will take 3 for it and she came back with 4.

After talking this over with the Mister, he's all grumping out on me and demanded the dimensions.

Turns out, it has more horse power and a bigger deck. The only thing I am solid on is my JD has a longer life span. 17 years old and still kicking arse.

Beau's opinion first please. The rest of you can get in line.

My argument with the Mister is, It's still a good backup mower when the other is broke, and YOU weren't here watching the grass get out of control. Do I have a case?

I need someone to feel my pain!

LOL

Jeep-pers -Creep-ers ...SP
- I was just getting into tonight's water sport topic
- and admiring them young boating ladies, partying with their cowboy hats on

OK OK here to help, the young lassie...back to tractor talk.
- the Craftsman is still easily worth $400 ...$1,900 retail
- do some more winning at work, say hubby putting his foot down
- take $300 in 20 dollar bills, and drop it on her desk...tell her to count it, all I can come up with
- and bat your eye lids
Tell hubby, we go lucky on last Deere repair, under $100 but shop extremely slow.

I have a Honda walk behind snow blower for backup / some things are necessary, living out in the boonies on a big lot.

Once I was buying a mint 14 ft. enclosed fiberglass trailer (dual independent torsion axles, Hyd. brakes).
- Retail $9,000
- Worth $6,000 with only 3,000 miles on it (like new condition)
- drug attic was out of weed money, so I offered $3,000...she said NO & wanted $4,500
- I go home, get $4,500 out of bank...all 20 dollar bills, few inches thick
- put $3,000 in one pocket, balance in the other
- drop $3k on her office desk & tell her to count it & sign over the ownership / stack of small bills, are tempting
SOLD

Aaron in the Home Run Finals now.
UPDATE - Aaron is the winner / 12 Home Runs, with 2 minutes left...big congrats.

DANG!

Lots of AMMO, Beau.

He keeps trying to tell me it's my decision.

NOT!

"We" are getting a kitten next weekend...

The Mister is NOT a happy camper!

Ooops!

I know all that didn't fly in one narrative.

SP - Beau shouldn't have to tell you, how to turn that all around...into your FM favor...
- heck, its only a $300 riding tractor
- hubby might just wake up in the morning, and say..."we need a spare tractor Love"

My sister and brother had a teacher in high school who would make the whole first hour class stand up and sing,

“Good morning to you!

Good morning to you!

We’re all in our places
with bright shining faces.

And this is the way
to start a new day.”

Those were the days.

Soooo... I have a kitten on order.... Probably going to get the little arse kicker this weekend. Doberman will have to wait for a minute. I've been looking, though.

The Mister not happy.

Too bad.... I have field mice coming up under the house and eating through the sheet rock in my closet. AND, my closet is clean!

Little Jerks!

How was everyone's day today?

SP - hope your kitty turns into a good mouse'r.
- many people over feed their house cats, and they become too lazy to hunt
A lot like having old chickens that stop laying eggs...and one keeps feeding them, rejecting the BBQ idea....
^^ See...back to chicken discussion.

I got my 4th flower bed ready to plant tomorrow.
- all tilled with JD, nicely raked with a grade, top soil added...picked out a lot of sod & small stones
- but the hard grunt-work of landscaping, will give us the much needed curb appeal, on front of property

Went to Costco this morning, next city over.
- spend $83 on several items...love their Kirkland brands
(chicken breasts, bacon, cranberry juice, dishwasher soap tabs, dark roast coffee)
^^ See...back to chicken discussion.
- but saved $50 by avoiding local grocery stores here
- mom sits in the RAV4 with AC on, so Kelly is not alone & we not accused of locking dog in hot vehicle
- I like the store, and taste test a few items...will strolling around with a cart
StrykersPerson likes this.

------------Kelly & (Amy - RIP @ 11.7 y/o)

Good luck with your kitty.

Our last was a mouser...but the fun was in the catching. She invariably let it loose so it could die inside the walls.

UGH...

Coyotes... my favorite varmint. Here in Portland, they munch primarily on voles, mice, rats and our non-native invasive Eastern (European) squirrels. I say; YOU GO, Canis latrans!
