I'm still stuck on chickens this morning even though you all have moved on, lol. Here is a pic of my Maran eggs. My blue Isbars that I mentioned earlier were blue chicks, are also referred to as Silverudds.
Not sure why they changed them, because Greenfriar Farms imported them in the first place and called them Isbars.
I only have one Isbar left. I mainly have the Friesan Gull and eventually will try to raise my own Friesans.

Spock, I had not heard of the Tx earthquake. Must be related to our fault line. My Doberman's first reaction to the earthquake was not nervousness, but to the sound which she felt came from outside and so she stationed herself facing the front door in readiness. Later I learned to read her reaction and would say, Jada says get ready for an aftershock. And a few seconds later we could feel it.

Hike, check. Lowe's - outdoor coffee table and 2 chairs bought and put together, check. Potato salad - in progress.

Here are a few pics from our hot and sweaty hike this morning...I'll put the Mocha pics first with a warning that there's a snake pic below so scroll past if this isn't for you.

My happy, happy girl...she was so stoked to finally be out in the woods again.

A random spring flower

And a copperhead which has taken up residence in one of the rock walls along the trail.

And some bonus pics...Mocha and I working on our social distancing. Mocha hasn't quite grasped the concept yet so this is a work in progress LOL

For what it is worth, your random spring flower is a Spring Beauty, Claytonia virginica, I think, from what I can see of its leaves.

I remember them from my Illinois days when I wandered around identifying random wildflowers just for the heck of it.

Did you say you have goats AJ?

Keep them off my property and your goats will remain cute, in my mind.

I DID say there were some cute kids next door!

She will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart. You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion.
