Nigel is believable. Greys are amazing. I owned one for many years. Simply could not keep up with his vocabulary. He had our phone ring down to a T. Many time I would pick up and say 'Hello' then realize he had fooled me again. He had my voice perfected and Richard's perfected and confused me many times. I would set him out on my back deck on his own perch after I had clipped his wings.
One day he flew as I had let the wings grow out to much. He perched at the top of the neighbors big Cottonwood talking and laughing at me for two days and nights. The third day he flew across the
back pasture ( the most beautiful sight). I marked where he might land and got in the car to follow. As I pulled up in the block I thought he would come down. I saw two ladies get out of their car
and saw 'Solomon', as we called him on the grown waddling over to them saying, 'Hiya, how are you, whats' up?' I won't forget the look on their faces. When I got out of my car and called him, he
gladly came and flew to my shoulder.
The cats would share his food. He didn't care. The dogs, he did not like sharing them sharing affection with me, and would chase them from the room. Can't tell you how many times I would go to the store forgetting to change my shirt from where he loved to sit on my shoulder and of course leave bird dropping. My kids would point it out when I got home, like, Mom how could you.....
