Black coffee tastes good with vanilla ice cream in it. Just thought I'd mention that.

I'm one of those "it smells good, but tastes awful" types when it comes to coffee.

I'm frankly shocked they've not been sued for misleading advertising, but, hey. That also means you can "make your own" - you can generally take one acetaminophen (tylenol), one aspirin, and drink something caffeinated (a soda, coffee, etc) to get the same effect. Or, you can buy the regular Excedrin Extra Strength and save some money next time you shop.
Ha - I should of stayed in bed! Simple installation of curtain rod - turned into a disaster....measure twice and all that. I did but still hung it too low. While it would work for the outside curtain - the inside would drag the tub bottom and soak up water. Wife was not having that. Course with me being tired and headachey compounded the error....

So pulled out the wall anchors and patched now waiting for it to dry. Then add more or sand depending. Then paint where the nice painters had already done so...ugh.

Thanks MC - It has been a while since have used Excedrin. A year or 2 now. Last used to try and help the pain in my first frozen shoulder. Spiked my liver enzymes I think so tried to stop using them so much. Also thanks for the tip.

Headache for the most part is gone. But think I will wait a bit before I get back on the shower - next weekend maybe

Almost forgot - cleaned out some of the closet as it will also get new carpet. Store some stuff on spare bedroom bed. Put up curtain that was on the bed fell out of my hand and scraped up the wall with a long black mark. It would come out. Wife is going to try magic erasure - if not another spot paint

Kinda both...
Went to bed at midnight, got up at 2ish. Since I was up anyway, I figured I'd stay up til at least 5 to see if it was going to start snowing like they predicted. It was partly cloudy at 5, so I gave up and went to bed for a few hours. When I got up it was snowing fairly hard, but now it's stopped again and I can see a little blue sky.

Apparently it only snows when you're not watching.

Kinda the way my sports teams work--they're awful; I turn off the TV and check back in later; they're winning. So I settle down to watch again. They lose.

Like many things for me - it was an acquired taste. I liked hot tea back in the day (still do). My wife also liked coffee. So I started drinking it. But had to work my way into it. Started with those sweeter drinks like in Starbucks or other coffee shops. Now I can drink coffee with some sugar and cream.

I agree with the vanilla ice cream and coffee - yum.

Maybe you've got something along these lines?

Or is yours more like this? I bet if you let Mister pick it out, you would have one of these.

Painted green and yellow, of course.

Mel --- My friend -- That is a Brilliant Idea !!!! Modm = You can't get a better idea than that one ! Good job Mel !

Wheelbarrow --- Who ever invited them - I would love to drive one right up there YKW The biggest POS- that was - well -- invented ! When I helped my dad with construction - My job was to set out the brick or 8 or 10 inch block - Of course dad had me use one of them POS ! I was not that big at that time and they would load it beyond full and tell to take on the other side of the house or where ever - Now if you have ever have been on a construction site - its all unlevel - mud ruts - heck its hard just to walk on or over - I turned that POS every time then get a chitty look from dad or one of the help ! I then had to reload it all up - most times I made it in 2 trips , instead of the 1 - LOL Did I say I hate them things ?? Still today !!! The best thing to do with one is to take a large hammer and break off the handles ! Even saw them off works for me !

Now I have seen one of the 4 wheel drive units work before - My question is- Where in the H E Double L were they 40 + years ago ???

Lannie - I would ditch that wheelbarrow and use that skid loader !

I know ! How about 5 gallons of gas and a book of matches for the wheelbarrow ! I hate them damn things

Modm - there are just days like today - I have had them - sometimes them days turn into weeks ! Hang in there - it will get better ---- sometime or day

Just think Moe ,when you buy your forever home you will be seasoned on home improvements.
You see, once you get your new home you will need to personalize it to your personal taste.
So see you will be ready for more redecorating and bringing all the stuff in storage back to your new home.
So practice makes perfect.
We are proud of you.
So what are you making for dinner?

Hey doc.
Been doing yard work all day.
Scott had to take the Harley for a ride to see how it felt on his shoulder.
Bike sat for 4 months and fired right up.
So off he went ....while I slaved in the yard.
He reports,bike runs great.
No issues with shoulder.
He is Healed....but still needs to hold off on are work.

If your elbow bursa is not infected, take the following steps:
Protect your elbow. This could mean wearing elbow pads or a wrap to cushion it.
Avoid activities that put direct pressure on your affected elbow.
Take pain medicine such as ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatories to reduce the swelling and the pain.

So are you wearing a wrap ?

So are you wearing a wrap ?
No - No wraps yet - We know tomorrow if it's infected again I have stand by Anti's and am on them - I was taking just 1 every 12 hours - but after yesterday afternoon - I went to 1 every 8 hours

Ooh, you've got a mean streak in you, or else nursing Scott back to health has soured your outlook on life. But it's OK; I am at peace with the world......

So what are you making for dinner?
Thanks,

Yep that is somewhat true - but wife says we are going to buy a house already fixed up! I am not very mechanically inclined. But I think we will get something not quite fixed up and with the small experience getting now, should help with any future house. Bad thing is practicing on this house worries me as we are selling - so if somethings note quite right have to fix it.

Similar to this....I have always heard. Treat it like it was yours. I do not do that. I treat it like it wasn't mine. If I borrow something and I ding it - I may say it is ok if it was mine. But since it is not mine have to do something about it Maybe I'm not quite right.

Supper tonight was left over beef stroganoff - with marshmallow cookies for dessert. Waiting for the recipe from 4x4 that Alan mentioned!

Tomorrow - Breakfast Oatmeal with apples, pecans, and brown sugar....Lunch Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich. Supper not sure yet

Of course I did--really pi$$ed me off--the rug I dumped Joey's dinner on wasn't even dirty until I dumped a bowl of dog food. But Joey thought it was a unique way to have dinner--carefully picked up every last kibble and when he was done I tossed the rug in the washer. Turned out that it washes very well.

And here's my big new of the day. When I got home from the clinic I took a look at the gmail it said in capital letters JOEY WENT WINNERS DOG and an hour later the friend who was bringing me up a lil' red puppy bitch (I'm sure this one was supposed to be yours Kenny--what a spitfire) to put her ears up came with the rest of the news--JOEY ALSO WENT BEST OF WINNERS. I don't know how many dogs or bitches there were in--and it sounded like there might have been a major in bitches so I'll have to be patient either until Joey's mom, comes by here tonight (she stayed for groups) and can tell me or tomorrow when I can look it up on line.

That's all pretty exciting since he's not quite 8 months old.

(But we thought he looked pretty good.)

I'll have pictures for you soon.
