If Beau takes a day-nap / I say its because Kelly is tired, and she needs to cuddle with her DaDa.
- this completely avoids any Dobermans anxiety / B67 always puts family first, in the sacrifice department

LOL!!!! Every new puppy in my home goes through the "NO--BAD dog!" stage and is sure that is their name.

And I've found the older I get the more I end up reverting to the thing I used laugh about with parents who ran through the entire litany of their kids names when they were trying to stop some (mis) behavior that was going on.

You know the---"Luke, Danny, Richard, Benjamin STOPPIT!!!!" So now I have a black Dobe who will answer to Burma, Rumor or STOPPIT! Rumor has been dead for years and Burma really doesn't look a lot like him except for being black and smaller than the fawn dog--must be a behavioral issue.

Geeze--Stop It Johnny? In my family you could always tell if you were in deep trouble because they used all your names (I think you have to be from the Midwest to be familiar with that one.)

LOL!

I’m the youngest kid in my family and I’ve been told I was a very active toddler (that means I got into everything).

At least I remember how hard it was for my mother to stop calling her first grandchild by my name (25 years later)...especially if the kid was misbehaving.

I still can't get it right--"Stop That Johnny" not "Stop It Johnny"

I must be overtired (I know I'm definitely over stimulated by a couple of recent topics) must be time to go take a nap otherwise I'll end up watching the early National news and end up with my blood pressure hiked to the hills because of Trump (and did I vote for him--no and hell no!) and whatever he's been doing and tweeting about today.

LOL!!

I can't say much--I can spell but my typo's are predictable--I leave off "s", I frequently interchange the word will with with--and now the computer says I've repeated a word! (Live with it you electronic piece of junk!) I just read through errors.

There have been bunches of studies on just how much your brain can insert correct words, punctuation and spelling into messages. (The answer is LOTS)

The stuff that stops me in my tracks and sends me into endless loops is the stuff that spell check and word finish (especially on cell phones) does--when my brain can't imagine something with the same starting letter that makes a sentence make some sort of sense it drags me to a halt (saying things like "Say what?")

Flaws of spell check-
1. If you want one word but actually spell it so that it is another word, your error won’t be caught. But your sentence may not make sense. (Are the words “sentence" and “sense" related? Does that mean ALL of my sentences MUST make sense? Horrors)
2. It can’t handle weird vocabularies. Ask me how I know.

B67--Random capitalization, “its" instead of “it’s”, and what in the world is “striv’ed"? A word or two elided and punctuation a bit eccentric, but that seems to be stylistic.

Better than usual, B67.

@ The Brod....

Spell check, by virtue of it's (YES.... "IT'S') very existence is a flaw. It will ultimately lead to the downfall of education and eventually our entire civilization as we know it. Math calculating software and apps run a close second. Where the hell are scratch pads and slide rules these days?

If you want to know how to spell a word, LOOK IT UP!! Use it 3 times in a sentence and come back the next day and do it again. You will never forget the definition or the spelling of the word.

Math? Simply learned by rote. Absolutely no intellect involved. (sorry Albert.....)

Adios, Au Revoir, See Ya!

(My father spoke 6 languages. 3 proficiently and 3, well enough to get by. Certainly doesn't happen these days!)

Moi aussi.

I can pretty much read and speak French and my Spanish is passible if I am simply asking directions or just trying to get my point across.

But conversing? No way!

LOL

STJ!

BTW. My Father was always pissed that we had no desire to learn his "second" native language.... Portuguese. He was born and raised in Rio.

SP missed tonight's DT's SPELLING "B" Contest...

Or did SP stay away, so she could challenge MEL's WIN ?
- and later attempt to steal the glory
- the $50 question

MEL The $50 was simply a metaphor...
B67 () is not getting accused of money fraud MAIL laundering, over International & State lines.
- and forever tarnish the stellar reputation of a long term member, & DobermanTalk...by association, not me !!

SP - whats that about the Mister selling your or his house, a few pages back ?
