THX for the post, Kenny. That's my favorite kind of error (plus good spelling mistakes.)
For those of you who didn't click on it, here are the basics:

San Miguel Sheriff
@Sheri ffAlert
Large boulder the size of a small boulder is completely blocking east-bound lane Highway 145 mm78 at Silverpick Rd.

Please use caution and watch for emergency vehicles in the area.

My favorite responses:

"Why did the boulder cross the road? To get to the other size."

"Im in awe that the original tweet still stands, deeply flawed, obstinate, strong."

This would have been my response:
Unfortunately I think I'm a small boulder the size of a large boulder.

The other?

NWS Twin Cities
@NWSTwinCities

What a difference a year makes!
Wind chills this morning one year ago today were in the 50s and 60s below zero.
The wind chill in the Twin Cities was -50 or colder for 12 hours!
Here's a look back at the arctic outbreak of January 27-31, 2019:

And some people complain about global warming.

Thanks, Doc & Mel, that thread was hilarious!

As in the Geico ads, I can't believe they call that an "east-bound lane"!!

300 miles by the road, about 200 via air. There are a few windy roads along the way. It's basically on the west side of the mountains we're on the east side of.

I copied the text over, then copied the image address over, wrapped in IMG tags.
A bit laborious, but just had to be done for these

Twits--one of my kids' favorite books was The Twits, by Roald Dahl. It's awful...ly funny.
I bet there are a lot of people on this thread who would enjoy it too.

The Wormy Spaghetti[edit]
Seeking revenge for the Frog Trick, Mrs. Twit places worms from the garden in cooked spaghetti, which Mr. Twit eats, being re assured by Mrs. Twit that it is merely a new kind called 'Squiggly Spaghetti' she has recently bought. When he has eaten it, Mrs. Twit joyfully reveals the truth, to Mr. Twit's horror and disgust

It's full of gross tricks (here's a description of one which might appeal to you folks):

"The Glass Eye
Mrs. Twit removes her glass eye and drops it in her husband's beer mug while he isn't looking. It isn't until he empties the mug that he sees the eye sitting in there, startling him something awful. Mrs. Twit laughs, gloating that this proves she is always watching him."

It starts with a character study of Mr Twit and only gets better (uh...worse.) Synopsis:

"Mr. Twit is a wicked person, having hair that covers his entire face, with the exception of his forehead, eyes, and nose. His hair (which he falsely believes makes him appear 'wise and grand' but is widely agreed by everyone else makes him look like a twit), is spiky and hard. Because he never washes it, his moustache holds scraps of food stuck there while he ate, including tinned sardines, Stilton cheese, and corn flakes.

Occasionally, he licks these scraps out and eats them when he is hungry."

It's hard to read aloud to the little tykes...laughing and shuddering at the same time messes up your delivery.

I'm guessing--we get a lot of visitors here. Something to do with scenery (surely it's not the pot). A quick guest bed easy to store once they finally leave. I must admit to having one myself. Only I'm a good host--they get the real bed in a real bedroom with attached bath (yippee); I get the inflatable in the office with the bath down the hall.

Louisiana is Crayons too. SP, we'll have to get our heads together and figure that one out. And how about South Dakota with the Folger's Coffee (for those early rising life-on-the-frontier sorts, I imagine) I do notice that with the exception of California's switch console, CO has the most expensive item on the list. It's all of those Californians who are moving here with cash in hand, I guess.

Louisiana is Crayons too. SP, we'll have to get our heads together and figure that one out.

Mel, that's what my DW said, except for the scenery part.

We have several of those self inflating E-Z Beds (now Frontgate) I guess we're bad hosts, as guests now use them in a couple of upstairs bedrooms?

No, actually, we're smart hosts, learning from experience. We've had a few guests who wouldn't leave (after several months) in past, while I was working on ship, of course.

Don't want guests to get TOO comfortable. Having two Dobes now, also helps in this regard, as they both latch onto visitors like leeches, demanding 24/7 attention, as if they are deprived with us alone!!

I don't know about OK, but from my years living in East TX, next to Louisiana, the young girls in that area crank out a lot of bambinos, early in life. Pregnant by age 16 and a grandma by 32, that's a formula that yields lots of crayon purchases!

Boy a busy day here ! Dogs bedding all washed + a few of my sweat shirts - Then Aunt Bug got me thinking about dust bunnies under fridge , so pull it out and cleaned that up + had to un-screw the back grill to clean out coils , Good thing I had left my quarter inch drive set in the pickup - standard + metric ! Anyway - all were standard but 1 ! And it was metric - WHY ? Guess they ran out of standard screws

Product review time ! When I picked up out Wal Mart order the other day - they threw in 2 good will bags with super bowl stuff - It had in it the new Pepsi Zero No SugarWife said it tastes like soap I can't make up my mind , but it does leave a wang to it . Then there is a small bag of Dorito's Flamin Hot Limon - WOW ! Talk about hot ! It was so hot it did not taste like anything - best guess is it burnt all the taste buds out of my mouth - damn there were hot - Only had one and then ate it the rest of the day - over and over - you know what I mean ! damn they were hot ! Now the bag of Quaker Cheddar rice crisps weren't to bad -

Well better get back to work
