“falling Iguana”

Sorry - But LOL on that one - It was even on our local news this morning .

Alan J. ---- Have a plant question for yeah , So here's my problem - All of our plants have turned brown and have wilted to nothing , One other thing - I first noticed this problem when the temps got below 32 ! Is that temp to cold for them ? Or do you think it could be a fungus or insect problem ??

Thanks A.j.

Aunt Bug - I could read your stories all day long ! Thank you !

Oooh, we're the same temp this morning! We're 37 degrees, too! No iguanas falling out of our trees, though, thank goodness. That would freak me out!

Actually, we're in for about a week of (mostly) above freezing temps. In fact, it didn't even get DOWN to freezing last night. Our low was only 35. The snow is melting, but it's at that awkward stage where there's a layer of water on top of the packed snow (in all the paths), making it very slippery. Our hay guy is coming to deliver our second load of hay this afternoon, and I hope he doesn't end up sliding into the barn. That would be bad. There's a slight slope down to the barn door from the flat area where he parks to unload the hay. They're those big 3x3x6 foot bales, so he uses his skidsteer to unload them and stack them in our hay room. Pray for good traction!

Oh, and I don't remember if I mentioned it, but Morgaine was actually pregnant from her first trip to visit the bull. She acted like she was in heat after we brought her home, so we took her back, but she was there for an additional two weeks and the bull never touched her, so she obviously was pregnant already. And Cricket is pregnant, so now both girls are "expecting" and the barn will be full of hay again this afternoon, and all is right in my world at the moment. And my face isn't freezing every time I go outside, which makes it even BETTER!

G'morning LadyDi! I forgot to put the trash (garden debris and recyclables out yesterday and woke up with a start at 5:00am--pickup is just after 6:00am and my side of the street is first) So I was out stumbling around in the dark and someone made a mistake and sent Florida's weather to us instead of you.

The low last night was 44 degrees and the predicted high is 48 degrees.

Nothing but rain for the next week (at least)--and I woke Joey up and he was crying his eyes out because I wasn't in the bedroom--now i have both cats and the puppy in helping me report of the Northwest weather.

Oh, I almost forgot, I was going to do a test. To see if my computer is wonky, or the camera. Here goes. Will it be big or little? Hmmm...

Still tiny. Well, it was worth a shot, anyway. I think my laptop needs someone smarter than me. It's obviously some setting in my computer that's making them so small. When I click on the original picture on my hard drive, it comes up normal sized...

Was browsing Amz this morning and came across these two cute dog toys from JW Pets (one of my fav mfrs.).
For some reason, they both reminded me of the Chicken thread group?

Can you guess why?

Here's the Toy Pics...

Let's Call This One, "Toy L" ...

...And This One, "Toy S"

I love those JW toys SD--well, not me so much but my Dobes sure do. I learned to trim the feet off the Cuz and the feet and the ears off the Bad Cuz.

And as I was typing this I heard faint squeaking and then I jumped up to see what Joey had because none of the Doberman sized toys presently have a functioning squeaker--damn cats--the agility dogs used to get a toy just for entering a trial and I have an endless supply of squeaky toys that no Doberman older than 4 months gets. And a fair number of tiny little Zanie's, also with squeakers which I used to choose to bring home for the cats--Clark plays with them now and I have to make sure he hasn't left one where a dog can get it--must of missed this tiny pink bear--still had the tag on it and Joey was mostly playing with the tag but he had just found the squeaker.

OK--it's late enough to feed everyone and then I'll go back to bed with my coffee.

TN that second picture is a real classic--that look on Mocha's face is priceless--reminded me of the youngest kid of a friend who came around to see what I was doing (putting up puppy ears for his mother on her new Dobe puppy) with a particularly disgusted look on his face.

"What's up?" I asked him.

"Awwwww," he said, "my mom is making those gushy eyes at my dad--so DISGUSTING!"

Geeze--came in to turn off the computer and go back to bed--notice the tv was still on and that they had changed the predicted high for today to 50 degrees..sorry Florida--somehow we have your weather or maybe TN's

And Kenny, that was a pretty good idea just shoving my trash container over to the other side of the street but if my across the street neighbor would be surprised if he got billed for a whole extra set of trash collection.

I'm going back to bed...

Dobebug, what a wonderful story! Thank you. I want an encore. Going to start mornings by saying, 'Bug, tell me a story.'

I will copy and let MB read it. I tell her she will do great with Dobermans cause she kinda looks like a Doberman, with her black hair and
being tall and slim. lol. That is a compliment I think.

I started with an interest in showing when living in Seattle and purchasing my first Great Dane. Clair Lincoln of Hightone prefix? You might
recognize being from that area. That was in the mid 70's

I think we will use you as a mirror and I will send you video's of MB training for you to critique!
Someone from the Doberman Club here suggested she join UKC and enter shows to use as fun matches.
Those weekend fun matches were always so helpful, but they have gone the way of.

Thx again, Bug. BTW, have any pictures of your first Doberman?

Mel, 39 deg. here this morning, too. Sooo nice. I didn't have to break any ice for the chickens. I think we share similar weather patterns.
Altho' I have to say I have never heard anyone speak of a Chinook wind in Utah.
