SP - I agree with everything you say, its your thread...but then you owe me one.

Ma not a "hard boiled egg"...but she did make us talk, in code / so she wears it now.
- because sometimes the translation, goes miss-cued...we blame our MEL

PS - hows your egg farmer production...and Larry Big Bird, still your favorite ??

Never fond of Lady (Princess) Di (the English one). Yes, she had a rough time, but yes, she was manipulative. Troubled really.

To be expected, I suppose, but still....

Good morning everybody ! Boy did I have a great day yesterday - lol Them are few and between - lol Had 6 loads to finish this contract I had to deliver , I hit the lines just right , never more than 6 to 8 trucks ahead - so had a quick tur around . Taking the Ipad was great to kill time . It got pretty foggy for a couple of loads then it would lift then come back . Anyway - I did get that job done , still have 5 loads of corn to go but there still full - they gave me the option to take to another of there elevators 20 miles away so may to had just to get done as weather is going bad to winter time here = cold - snow , rain and ice .

Great job on posting the giphy Aunt Bonnie - that was funny - and another reason NOT to have a short dog

OMG, I AM FREEZING! It's hard to believe that six months from now I'll be complaining about the heat. Yesterday it was much colder, but not much wind, and today it's blowing hard. It's blowing into the phantom hole on the porch, and I can't even sit on the couch and watch TV because there's a wind in the living room. It was 64 in there when I got up, and I turned on the second heater, but the temp keeps going down. It's down to 60 in there (actual temp) but I don't know what the wind chill is. Probably mid-50s somewhere. I hate this. It's supposed to get up to around 27 or 28 today, but at the moment, it's still -3 outside. And this isn't even the real wind. The REAL wind is forecast for tomorrow, a high wind advisory for 40mph with gusts to 60. (Even though the weather page says it's only blowing 23 mph out there right now, I think it's closer to 35 to 40 judging by the howling sound. The weather observations are in Faith, anyway, and they're 30 miles from us.

My fingers are freezing and it's hard to type, so that's it from me. Just one short but vitriolic rant. I think I'm gonna go find a blanket to wrap up in.

Hello.
Just got home nosework class.
New instructor.....really like her.
Takes her time explaining things.......Hoss is exhausted.
His bed time is 7 pm.....we do not start class till 8pm.
Hoss is like the lazy kid in the back of the class.
Hoss moans ......so funny.
But when it s his turn to search, game on !
He did zoomies when he got home and greeted Scott.
Now stretched out and catching some Z’sss
Funny...our Nosework class is 8:15 pm. It feels much later in the wintertime than summertime We don't get home until about 10:30 pm - yikes! Glad you are liking the new instructor!

Morning SP, you look nice today.
Morning Papa............was thinking winter would slow you down some.......NOT! Construction continues. Where do you get all this energy?
Anyway time to go eat breakfast. Hamburger! Yum.
My entire state is in a winter storm watch for tomorrow. Sigh.

It's SO freezing today, isn't it? And then the storm hits tomorrow - you guys are getting hit with the same thing as us, right? Big snowstorm....

Well its about time for the azz of the South to get on here and talk about how ht it is and the temps are around 80 with NO breeze !

Yesterday - even though it was 52 - the fog made it feel really cold out , lol We have been above normal for the last 28 days ! Now it's back to winter - with wind chills around - 15 coming back to play . I don't know how MC and Lannie live where they do - lol I'm just not as tuff as I use to be with cold weather , Oh yeah - it's been so warm here that Kadin has only wore his new MBM coat once ! BUT , Like I said , I think that's about to change

Ouch, you miserable cold people! My house is much less breezy now that I've finally managed to replace all of my old windows with ones that actually fit. At least I can watch our wind storms from the comfort of inside.

My life traumas at the moment? Let's see...

1. My garbage company (who just got taken over by some company with its base in CANADA, of all places for a trash company servicing Colorado to be headquartered) didn't pick up my garbage Monday when they were supposed to. So I called them--they had that little "we are experiencing high volume today; we will return your call, blah, blah..." thing going, so I left a message and left the can out another day. Next late afternoon, still no call back. So I called again. They promised to send someone after he finished his ordinary route the next day. So I left the can out another day--still no show.

I was so tempted to call back and tell them I expect to get a week docked from my bill because of lack of service. By now it's a matter of principle...but I finally just put the can away for the next week.

2. My son and I had a little fuss because when he cleaned the ferret poop, he accidentally dropped the dirty newspaper on the stairs and a fair amount of it spilled out. He claimed the gross-out exemption (he does have a bit of OCD-like I can't touch dirty things difficulties) and I had to lean on him hard to get him to clean it all up.

3. My daughter and I are in an involved, intricate and surprisingly amaranthine (I found that word in the thesaurus just for you guys--even I had never heard of it, but DT spell check had. Amazing. I'm not using it in quite the right way, but what the hey) email negotiation about a little grievance.

4. I haven't actually gotten out to walk the dog for 3 days. The medical procedure with anesthesia for me one day (it went fine, by the way) a couple of other appts. another day, sheer laziness the third.) Guilt for being a bad dog mom.

5. Now I have to figure out how to get a comfortable cat out of my lap. He gets so cold and uses his cat radar to zoom in on my lap whenever I am just thinking of getting up and starting some chore or something, so he gets dumped from my lap a lot; I feel like I'm being a bad cat mom. Ditto guilt.

Such is life at the moment--silly little things...and then you guys have to intrude with your stories of truckloads of stuff to haul and hours-long waits, minus degrees outside all day and stock to feed, days and days of work with no breaks, and traveling in ice storms.....

Stop being such a pampered Floridian, Cuz.

You like snow so much, why don't you go to Minnie-Sota? Then you can back track over to Michigan and Beau will meet you at the Border and let you in.

Sorry about your plight today...I was speaking with my brother yesterday and he was telling me that they were going to Maui for some vacation time. I said you do not sound to excited about going , I know its a long flight but come on! He said we have a place available to go in Manitoba(???) and that is where he would really like to spend some time...shuddered up with a nice fire and his favorite spirits with unbelievable cold on the other side of the door!
Lannie i just thought i would let you know that there is someone who would enjoy what you have going on right now.

MC is not a happy camper.
MC's DOGS are really not happy campers!

Today is a good to be cats, that's for sure. They have heated cat beds. They are happy as clams. I would have liked to stay home and in my bed today, too (heated mattress pad). Sadly, I had to go to work. And I will have to go out on my lunch break into the frigid cold to go buy fabric (because tomorrow will be a snowstorm...). Ah, Minnesota life!
