Nope! I played lazy and stayed inside all weekend!

Somewhere along my many moves I lost my insulated coveralls!

Now I got to go buy coveralls. Thank God Tractor Supply will be having a big sale, especially on critter food. If you all are nice to me, I will tell you when!

Massive upset here--went shopping for computer parts to rebuild sonís computer--a 60 minute drive to a store up in Denver. and another 60 minute drive back. Purchased and filled a number of bags there.

Long story short...somehow or other we didnít have the item (paid for and on the receipt) in our car when we got home to Colorado Springs. Can only think that it was left at the cash register because we hand carried everything else to the car.

Of course the store is closed.

So sent email to online website for a record of the loss, and am planning on calling the store tomorrow at 10 AM when they open. I would think the register person noticed an unaccounted-for box at her place--it was only an hour before the store closed, so hopefully there is a record of that somewhere.

Item cost $700; I plan to make a fuss if they wonít do anything about it, but in the meantime, I get to think about it all night.

Think of me tomorrow morning.

Mel,

I want to be a fly on that wall!

Maybe the $700 item, left behind...is captured on store video.
If not, you might be sh*t out of luck...let us know, how it works out.

Yeah, I know...but Iíll try anyway. If the cashier is at all honest, she should have had an extra box floating around. They have assigned cashiers and her name is on the receipt, so......

My daughter said that at Sears (she worked in the warehouse at one point), they put items like that away with ID info on them so folks can come back for them. Maybe I can shame them by telling them that even SEARS does a better job.....

If we could find a local store, we would.

$200 dollars off another part we got if we bought it at the store instead of on-line. Building a high-end computer is a lot cheaper than buying one pre-made.

If you don’t forget the video/sound card at the store.

Who is your twin?

And, what is his handle, Beau?

He's just got to be lurking here somewhere.

I have 1 brother and 0 sisters - an identical twin, and we are very close...extra-strong friendship.
- we talk while he drives to work & back / and on weekends
- plus share numerous cell texts, daily
Similar interests and married sisters / they met at the Beau. wedding.
- he got 2 sons / I got 1 son

Bro was 5% smarter than me, on exams / I've always been 5% better looking...
- B67 wins again

He don't lurk here, but I often share a funny or an interesting DT link (discussion).
- he is a good Sheltie dog owner (forever home) / just lost his boy Tanner, at 15 y/o
Likewise, I follow some of his debates, on a Golf forum / he is one of the top club makers, in the world.
- Golf is his hobby, that propelled his oldest son to a minus handicap (beats Par)...through Black Belt improvements

^^ $700 Happy Dance......
- so relieved for you MEL

I remember being in OH twenty years ago, on work business and had $800 worth of company $$.
- half inch of $20's in my pocket...to pay meal expenses & the room.
- booking in, I left my wallet on the counter, at the check in desk...for 5 minutes, unattended.
- went back and the full wallet, was still there
Last time, I don't always keep my hand, touching the leather...if I get my wallet out, never set it down now.

My handle is.. uh... uh... What thread am I on?

BJ = mBJ (aka my Brother John) !!

Plus:
We have been married the same length of time...~1977 vintage.
- and we picked spouse wisely, or they picked us...LOL
Had one son each (I believe) / probably months apart in age.
Wives & us men, also of similar age.
Brother John grew up in MI, B67 grew up one boarder province North (in Ontario).
- and we've had Dobermans, since forever
- I was married one week, when our 1st baby girl (Tanya) was ready to come home

Sorry, but I stepped late into this confusing, matrix-like thread. You two "twins" married sisters that are both named Nancy???

Maybe that is what takes you long to get the mowing done. As a responsible driver, you have to stop mowing for a bit to get your blood alcohol down to safe levels.

Responsible and safe...does that describe SP? Taking a poll here......
