Nice place TN !! Also love the flooring ! You did answer some questions I was going to ask - one being how Mocha got along with them . We had thought about laying down all wood here next time we over haul the place - which from what I'm picking up lately will be sooner than later May have to get Modm and 6-7 to do it -- lol

Thanks for the pictures !

Goodmorning.
John Wayne - He was also killed in Sands of Iwo jima. I was very young and it really broke my heart that he had died. This gave me first realization that movies were not real when he showed up in other movies...never believed in Santa but did chase birds around throwing salt at them...i was the youngest with two older a$$holes living in the house!

Our whole living room & dining room is all wide plank floors (Hickory from Mennonites sawmill).
- but we have never experienced our dogs, ever being shy walking on them

DOC - 6-7 will prepare a Quote & double it...just for U.
- Moe may be a better choice, I hear he likes working for FREE
- that's what his wife says

BEAU TIP...
- under Porcelain tile / glue and screw, 3/4" plywood
- under 3/4" wood flooring / glue and screw, 3/8" plywood

^^ Where the 2 dissimilar floors meet...the transition will be perfectly flat.
- no trip hazard, a seamless looking floor
- my Realtor agent, really praised me on my installs, they rarely see it done right

They are jerks. That is what I have to say about that. I should run out and try to buy an LSU car flag for the work parking lot to see tomorrow.

Morning, all.

Been raining since yesterday...yuck. Rain in the middle of winter is always nasty. Richter does NOT like it. He hates how the snow feels on his feet when it gets all crusty like this (plus, both dogs, of course, hate going out in the rain!). So, I have unhappy pups right now. Supposed to maybe turn to snow later in the day...we'll see.

Going to put a turkey breast in to cook later. Get some more sewing done. I love that I'm into vacation far enough that you kind of forget what day of the week it is! Lovely!

Sad thing, though, did you hear? The LSU offensive coordinator's daughter-in-law was killed on her way to the game when the private plane she was in crashed. He's chosen to work during this game, though; he's calling the plays.
Yes, I woke up to the news. So very sad. All the more reason for OU to get stomped.

Good Morning All!

How does one get right on a plane after a loved one has been killed in a plane crash? You know he did.

On a happier note, yesterday was rainy and blustery and warm. I was okay with it. Today sun shining but colder. Not liking it! I want to be a bad girl today and burn some propane in my office.

Oh who am I kidding? I "practiced" with the propane heater yesterday. It really is a finicky old timer of a heater. But, Mister walked in after a while and I could see he was going to start scolding. I grinned at him and pointed at the heater. Told him, "See? I finally figured out how to get it set only one brick."

I woke up to a waist-high drift in front of the dog door this morning, so I had to dig it out enough to let Missy outside. I'm almost glad Zipper's not here, or I would have had to dig all the way around the house for her, and it would have all been filled back in in 5 minutes.

I thought we really dodged a bullet yesterday. It stopped snowing not long after I logged off here, and didn't snow again all day. We had maybe two inches total. But it started up again last night, apparently. I'll have to wait until it's light to assess the damages. After beating the crap out of myself the other day, getting out to the barn isn't going to be very much fun. Oh, and I think I did something to my ulnar nerve, either in my wheelbarrow tumble or the chopping and hacking in the chicken coop, but my right hand (on the outside) keeps going numb. Like I'm pressing on the nerve, but I don't think I am. Anyway, it better get better because I don't do doctors. I think it will, I just overworked it and something is swollen in there.

And did I ever mention that I know Chris Hemsworth's cousin? It's true. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I found out. She's a friend of mine on the cow forum I belong to, and she happened to mention him one day (she's Australian, too) and all the cow girls jumped on her for information and it turns out they're first cousins. I don't usually think anything special about "celebreties," but Chris Hemsworth is CUTE. He's my new crush since Heath Ledger left us.

And on that note, I'm off! It's still not light out, but my curiosity is killing me. I have a flashlight. I'ma go peek out the door and see whether I should start crying or not. I hope it was just a bad drift by the door and not ACTUALLY a freaking foot of snow.

(Oh, I almost forgot, my favorite John Wayne movie is Hatari. No one mentioned that one, but I like it the best, not for John Wayne especially, but for the scenery and the animals.)
Girl? I am worried about you. Is that your dominant limb? You know where I am going to go with your answer.

Have you and Rich thought about adopting twin 17 year old foster boys? Sissies need not apply?

Where the red arrow is, that's where Mocha takes right turns to get to the door leading to the deck, or a left turn if she's coming the other way and her hind end would slide out from beneath her. After a few times, she started getting worried about having to walk in that and other areas so we got the carpets; problem solved

Not sure were Lannie lives - It looks like - according that she said she lives in West Central SD - that she may be in a Blizzard area + 12 or more inches of snow !

TN - Watch for some heavy duty storms in your area - Wouldn't rule out a quick spin up = Tornado + heavy rains .

Cressrb looks like she is getting snow also

If you click on "you" it shows you your photos (on the bar on the very top of the screen). The little cloud with an arrow in it is the upload "button" to bring you to the place to let you upload photos (also on the top ribbon on the screen). Hope that helps?

Flickr was bought last year - users are now limited to 1000 photos if you want to use it for free. I upgraded to Flickr Pro. It's really inexpensive, IMO, for free photo storage without limiting your photo quality, as well as the features you get.

Here's an article: https://www.theverge.com/2018/11/1/1...iption-smugmug

There really aren't a lot of good photo hosting sites online that are free without loopholes anymore.
