Geez! I don't get it either!

It doesn't matter what breed of puppy! They teeth! And redirecting is a pain in the Arse. Any puppy is, WORK! There is much to be said about an adult dog.

Potential puppy owners of ANY breed,

Be prepared to get off your duff!

Couldn't get away with a "dirty joke" on the league. I was Sargent at Arms on that league and had to halt that kind of political talk. Everybody hated me because I was anti-kids in the bowlers pit. I got voted three times as Sargent, because of my stance on that.

Soon the League members would say, that Damn Beau...he gets to say whatever he Darn well pleases.

SP - My first good joke in front of the Sargent at Arms presence / would be followed with her big laughter.
- and at that point, "the rules of conduct" get adjusted for me...

PS - 5 pin or 10 ?

Starting to Rock and Roll to our SW with a Thunderstorm Warning - btw - it is tracking our way - maybe a little South - High wind and standing corn is NOT a good recipe !

May have to just head South to TX and get me a Beach house down there ! Wonder if anybody has Dobie's in the Lone Star State ?

Getting batteries charged - Getting Battery for camera charged too ! You know what Ken says -- Pictures or it didn't happen

Thought I would add this, from Wiki

Shuffleboard:

"The game was played and gambled over by King Henry VIII of England, who prohibited commoners from playing; evidently he did not always win, as the record of royal expenses for 1532 show a payment from the Privy Purse of GB£9 (9 pounds), 'Paied to my lord Wylliam for that he wanne of the kinges grace at shovillaborde’”

Trust SP to find yet another way to gamble...(aside from the chicken and eggs game)

Mid 1970's:
A guy dropped into the farm and had a 1966 Chevelle 2 door hardtop (with '67 front end), that was going to the wrecker yard...for $35 scrap value.
- since my twin brother & I had a collection of these cars, some for parts
- he offered it to me, for same price
One Saturday dad & I took his pickup and my tow bar to fetch it home, to the farm.
- we headed out on a 45 minute drive together
- hooked up the old Chevelle, behind the Dodge truck and headed back..on the back roads
- Dad directed me to the local hotel (bar) for a few drafts
- and we had 2 fun games of shuffle board, guzzling down two pints of beer
^^ I laughed at pops, he could never beat my playing skills / it was a fond memory, just having fun with the old man.

Curling was my "A" game, I went undefeated in grade12 as a team skip...until my Ski-Doo accident sidelined me.
Brother & I also played on the adult league, as a teenager / no World Juniors at the time, but I was that good.

Geez, B67...Do I have to do EVERYTHING??

Wiki:
This is what I call REAL shuffleboard--

"In deck or floor shuffleboard, players use a cue-stick, to push their colored disks, down a court (a flat floor of concrete, wood or other hard material, marked with lines denoting scoring zones), attempting to place their disks within a marked scoring area at the far end of the court."

Alternating plays, giving you a chance to block the other player’s shot or knock their piece off the board, in addition to setting up your piece for a score.

6 feet wide by 39 feet in length plus a 6-foot shooting area at each end

Though it would be interesting to hear SP’s explanation of the game.

Today's hardwood maple Shuffleboard Table with side bumper rails or without / what is best ?
- not the King's version, of the game / played out in a cow pasture (but still interesting)
- this question has bothered me, for decades

Beau. family watching a Miss Marple tonight / movie written by Agatha Christie...
- there all good detective story lines / little hard to follow sometimes, given many characters
- Kelly napping on the side of moms legs, like clockwork

B67 picked out the killer, in last half hour of the show...that awareness, feel pretty good.

Ah, but isn't life, itself, a gamble?
