You guys have been so busy on the CT that I can't keep up--right now my 'puter doesn't want to do much of anything and I'm trying to get out of dial up and into real internet service. But it's hard because I'm totally retarded about computers and internet--so I have a lot of answers to question that end up with me saying "Uh, I don't know...) That ends the conversation until I get in touch with my computer guru...
Or I have to wait until the library opens (10 am or 12 noon--depending on what day)--and the time difference means you all THINK I don't get up early. Tell my borrowed puppy (6:00am boy) or my cats who still haven't figured out that daylight savings time is off (makes them 5:30 boys).
The computer guru also says he can put the drivers in that will make the printer/scanner talk to the computer and we'll see about Toad pictures after that.
I guess I'll have to start telling dog stories...there's always the one that a mutual friend tells about first seeing Toad at a big California dog show--he was in an x-pen with about 10 puppies milling around him and jumping on the sides of the x-pen causing the handler to yell at her helper to make them stop doing that 'cause she didn't want to be chasing puppies all over the show grounds.
The friend noticed the fawn dog was the only one not jumping on the sides of the x-pen--she asked the handler how come he wasn't doing that. Handler said--because he doesn't live with me and his owner actually trains him.
Toad didn't jump on fencing because he did it on a really old, barely standing section of the back yard fence--a three paling section collapsed all over him. The second time he was running in the back yard chasing a squirrel on the fence. At a corner (with a really bad rotted section) he jumped on the fence and palings broke of and he ended up in the next door neighbors yard--I didn't see it but heard it. Happened just at dusk--so I went out and looked at the broken palings and saw that my dog was no where to be seen--I walked around to the front yard--Toad was waiting for me at the gate. That cured him forever of jumping on fences of any kind.
Gotta (see Mel--this wasn't even really parenthetical) go because I got the 4 minute warning.
