It will be okay BeauBear.

We are a crazy family and we all get along.

Your turn next, to win a prize.

I missed you while you were slaving away.

Where are the pictures to prove you weren't just slacking?

Since we're on Page 1001 of CT, thought this book might be pertinent ....

1001 Ways to Live Wild by Barbara Ann Kipfer

https://www.happysimpleliving.com/20...-to-live-wild/
Might this be SP's pseudonym (pen name)?

If so, maybe we can all take her suggestion with any nasty neighbors "we" might have (hint, hint..)-
766. Hug a tree and a person today.

Does this one sound familiar?
930. Watching wildlife can reawaken senses dulled by the man-made world.
(i.e. Skunks under the chicken coop!!)

Personally, I particularly like this one...
159. Tour an airplane factory

But, maybe not this one....
234. Take a ride in a vintage biplane.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

FYI- Google searching comes up with a lot of "1001 Ways..." books and lists which apparently were derived from "1001 Arabian Nights" as described in Wiki, but originally was "Arabian Nights", sans the number:

Good Morning Peeps!

Kenny!

Stop being so coy. Answer my question. Are you participating or not!

What is on everyone's agenda for the day?

Me, you ask?

Let the chickens free range.

Get chili in the crock pot, after I pull the crock out of the fridge and clean it first.

Think about clearing the clutter out of the house. I said, think about, mind you.

Clean two bathrooms, for sure.

Guess I will get started on chili first so I can relax and get my hands dirty.

Big sigh, I do everything around here. Mister would just say, "Yeah right, if you say so". But he's not here, so that doesn't count.

New parking lot is smaller and even smaller lines. Not taking Guz to the new building to get dinged up, except on a weekend work days.

So! I need a new battery, new water pump, new radiator and most likely new tires, for Rustine. And then, I am sure I will need to send her to the doctor for rewire work.

After that, I will think of other goals.

I am starting our new chapter of our competition to be The Forever thread!

Right now!

SP- This may be the opportunity you have been looking for girlfriend - you hate your job - So why not try something new - to rekindle that spark ? Maybe expand your chicken farm to a Free range - Non GMO Chicken ranch - sell the birds for the yuppie health group ? Get with a local butcher to process the birds - they bring what 3 or 4 x's the ones you buy in the store ? It won't be easy at first - need to research lots of things - but may be worth the time . Just me thinking out loud

Good morning everyone!

No hike AGAIN this morning because yes, it's raining. Well, not exactly rain but that super annoying cold mist that's somewhere between rain and fog.
I forgot all about the Penn State/Ohio State football game today, should be a good one! In theory, this one should test Ohio State and we'll see if they're really as good as people think they are.

Looks like it's gonna be one of these type days around here

Cut the CRAP DOC - SP don't need to quit, her full time job.
- afraid roosterKENNY, will get bored, with the limited flock of young chicks
- ya hoping she will expand her chicken farm operation

I guess that's our storm heading your way. Not a huge thing, but it did drop about 4 more inches of snow than was predicted, so who knows?

Doc, an answer to your questions is on the way. Once the other mods get up I'll let you deal with the big reveal, if and when it comes. (And now I bet everyone is thinking new puppy But we'll just let them keep guessing.)

Not so fast TN - planing KEN's retirement & get rich schemes.
- remember // growing POT is legal now, in Canada
- 4 plants, per adult (without a license)
- a grow-opp with half brother Beau, makes more sense
- do your RESEARCH DOC before moving

Close TN - But I'm headed more in the direction of raising munchies - YOU gave me the idea on Twinkies - Along with chips and My Pepperoni trees ! I asked Alan j to head the pot farm - its more in the line of work he does - remember - I'm a farmer and tend to kill weeds - not raise them

I'm here Kenny--if you are really considering being a legal pot farmer don't be trying it in Oregon--the laws are geared for you guys but there are such an overabundance of growers, distributers, retail sales locations that there is an excess of pot (in all qualities and huge quantities that the state is trying to figure out how to legal sell to other state where distribution is legal and how to ship (legally) through states where it is still entirely illegal. And then there is the other problem of where marijuana in all of it's various forms may be legal in a state but is still illegal federally.

It's enough to make a cat laugh.

And I have a foot note about free range birds--in this case it's turkeys but I hear that it's also true of the chickies. A friend preordered and bought a big free range turkey for a huge Thanksgiving dinner she was hosting for families on both sides of her marriage.

Came time to carve and eat the turkey (which smelled wonderful and looked great) and it turned out to be like trying to chew shoe leather. In general most of us Amuricans are no longer used to well exercised meat--which tends to be muscular.

The following day she stripped the meat--ran it through a grinder and turned it all into turkey hash--everybody really like that but she said it was definitely the most expensive has anyone had ever eaten.

[QUOTE=TNfisher;4099343]Good morning everyone!

No hike AGAIN this morning because yes, it's raining. Well, not exactly rain but that super annoying cold mist that's somewhere between rain and fog.[QUOTE]

TN,

That particular kind of rain used to be known as Seattle rain--with climate change which has been going on for many years it's hardly ever seen in Seattle any more--obviously it's moved to your neck of the woods.

Yep Aunt B - that's what you get with that free range stuff - lol Here - it's all about non gmo + grass feed beef - Grass fed beef is like that turkey ! You could wear out a good set of teeth chewing it !

Also - We can now raise Hemp - to make CBD oils with - there is one farmer here in our county that went all out - which is what I would have done - he put in his own processing plant - field to town sort of thing - have not heard who it worked out for him this year . The local Ag educator told me that the Feds were there all summer checking it ( legal stuff ) I guess .

Boy the weather is changing here fast ! It has been thundering to the North - heavy rain right now and it feels like it could change to snow anytime , still 36 degrees .

B. Was at the vets office the other day - one of the girls got a new Heeler pup - They brought 10 breed ewes out of Texas and they brought along this puppy - Oh God is it cute and so soft ! Kadin cried and cried - a happy cry - he wanted to play with it . Then one of the other girls brings her female Dobie with her to work - it has its own lazy boy it sleeps in - way to funny . Oh yeah - the one girl took a video of the Heeler and the Dobie - talk about funny ! The pup was running around the Dob and then jump over it - lol I will see if she will send it to me to put up here .

Stop changing the subject.

I reiterate. Are you participating or not?

You bragged about being able to embarrass your wife.
