Rosemary Evidently the AKC, USDAA, TDAA and UKI have all suspended the use of the chute/collapsed tunnel in all their courses.

We'll see if this link works... https://www.facebook.com/MightyMiteD...=page_internal

Congratulations you two.

VZ-Doberman Just wanted to say I heard back from the AKC about a question I had emailed to them. Happy to say Bacchus is the only Doberman EVER to earn the FTCP1 title. There is only one other Doberman to earn the FTC1 title and was told that dog is Flare.

Bacc also has the #1 spot for most PACH points earned to date.

<end brag>

Tex - gone

I am sure that by now you have all heard how Tex (CH Montwood Arista's Texas Hold'Em MX MXJ MJS XF T2B SS ROM) died suddenly right after his agility run on Friday last week (11-13-2015) at the Mt Hood DPC agility trial in WA. He completed his fast run (he was always so fast!) then went to the ring fence and staggered back to Mike to clip on his leash, and dropped. He was given instant CPR by a Vet Tech and Mouth-to-Mouth by Craig French (who also had a recent loss). The defibrillator was brought out, but he was gone. 6 1/2

His holter from 6 months ago was clean, he was regularly tested with his next one due the weekend after Thanksgiving. Mike is desolated. We are all greatly saddened.

He was the sire of my Lana, and other members' dogs. He was a lot of dog. He was super fast and won the weavepole knockout 2 years running at DPCA nationals.

VZ-Doberman I ordered a video of the Sunday Fast class. The Send is in the middle of the course. There were very few Qs in the Master level at any heights.

I think it will show our "unique" style of running.

It goes from "HERE HERE" to "WAIT FOR MOMMY" to "BAAAAAACCHUS".

But we Qd.

eegreen Congrats to you and Bacchus!

Millent own dogs visit a massage every 6 weeks and, if necessary Kraniosakraali therapy.

Kraniosakraali therapy is a natural method of light, but very impressive health care approach, where action takes place at the level of the central nervous system to improve its functioning. More specifically depicted treatment works with the body membrane system level. All tissues, organs and individual cells are surrounded by membranes through which the metabolism runs. If you have any problems at this level, it affects directly to the metabolic level and thus the symptoms arising from it and, ultimately, disease outbreak can be very diverse.

Kraniosakraali therapy to promote the natural healing process in the body and has been effective in the treatment process of various medical problems involving pain and dysfunction.
and the masseur is also specialized in medicinal leech
Short explination;
When attaching, sucking and releasing, the leech injects saliva into the wound. In this saliva, there are a lot of substances That enter the wound and the patient. The substances act as anticoagulants and anti-inflammatories. They also have a bacterial, antibiotic and pain Reducing effect.
whether those tried and tested / recommended?

agility dog maintenance and condition maintenance is challenging when the Doberman is not it one of the smaller and lighter dogs in the ring.
I hope all goes well
fast and clean lines

rocketdoc Hello, everyone. I have been off the board for a while but have been checking back in recently. I thought I'd update on Pula. As some of you know, she injured her hip/back in training (agility) last November. She was running well and fast, and had made it to team finals at USDAA Nationals (team placed 23rd I think).
I took a lot of time off with her, helping her to recover. The first 2-3 months were hard as her back would spasm with stretching. We went to ortho, PT, massage, etc. Over time she got better slowly, and got back in the ring about a month ago (9+months post injury). She is faster than when we left, but it more susceptible to tweaks and we are taking it slow and finding what she can do without re-injury. She has run 2 days in AKC in the past 6 weeks and a couple of days of USDAA (in the performance). This last show she ran well without any issues. Here's hoping for an injury free future with her.
I would love to get her into Top 20 (we were there when she got hurt and on track to stay there), but we will only do what she can. I am after quality over quantity, so no multiple MACHs/year for me (plus we run other venues so not really possible).
Hoping to get her MACH finished, and maybe see where we go from there. She has most of the points and 7 QQs (and was QQ often when she was injured).

Millent Ok. You novice is ours class1 open is class2 excelent is class3 we don't have master class. Jess I understand little bit now.
I'm race open on need 3xQs but if, for example 5 dogs only winner the opportunity to get Qs. 10 dogs so have the opportunity to get the best of two Qs. Never, however, does not exceed 5 gets Qs open class. Although the dogs would be 30-> time not proplem everything else are.
QQQ was slightly open, now has to go to work but I will continue as long as I had time again for a moment here. Probably when you have more time to get even myself sorted out

You didn't see Bacchus in his younger and wilder days. OMG! People standing outside the ring would call him Banzai Bacchus.

What is Q, QQ and QQQ?
I didn't have a mentor or trainer so I would watch and eavesdrop on people at ringside to learn anything I could. Difficult on the hearing because I have a hearing problem. I would watch when they picked up their armbands, checked in and picked up their yellow score sheet. I would watch how they moved around the ring and tried to do their movements. Many I could not do so our running style became "whatever works". I got the UKC/AKC agility rulebooks and read them. Our runs aren't pretty but we get the job done most of the time.

A "Q" is a qualifying run. It's no faults and under the sct. (maximum time allowed). A "QQ" is a Q in Jumpers with Weaves class AND a qualifying run in Standard on the same day. A "QQQ" is a qualifying run in Jumpers and Standard and Fast class all on the same day.

I think you're talking about Qs to title. In AKC you start in Novice and when you get 3 Qs you get your first title. Then you can move up into Open. Again, when you get 3 QS you can move to Excellent. Then it gets harder because after you get the 3 Qs in Excellent you move up to Master class where you need 10 Qs to get a title. With each move up the courses get harder and in Master class you must run the course with NO faults and under the sct. to Q.

I love the videos. You dog is a happy worker. This is good.

Are you on Facebook? I just started putting some videos on my page. You'll see what I mean about my "handling style". LOL

VZ-Doberman Just got an email from a local agility club (BHAD) and they are cancelling their January trial.

Depressing. It's only 10 miles from home and a small one ring venue in an unheated barn. Right up our alley.
