LadyDi Hey Hoss just had his new knawrock deliver today from Amazon. He loves this thing !!! Chesa what treats do you use in your rock?
11-20-2018 08:52 AM
Chesa Gnawrocks are Ace's favorite. He obsesses over the one I fill with treats for some quiet time. And the goDawg Furballz are also his favorite, but they just get so nasty! I need to find more durable dog toys because he is pretty destructive when it comes to toys, and I had him chewing plastic or rope and swallowing it. He never gets them unsupervised, but he is just so quick. He destroyed his jolly ball in all of ten minutes.

dobebug Mannnn--all of my Dobes and the Aussie loved the regular wishbones and I have half a dozen of them around the house--eventually I toss them when they get down to one leg and a nub--I guess I know what my guys are getting for Christmas.

I hadn't seen that one--thanks Mel...

melbrod Nylabone Power Chew Wavy Wishbone--DogDog is the only one I've had who will even chew on Nylabones....but this one really works well. The Y shape, plus the curves, makes it easy for him to hold on to. As with all nylabones, though, the thing is LETHAL if you step on it with bare feet in the middle of the night!

Kong Squeeze Crackle Stick--Not meant to be a durable chew toy, but DogDog's favorite "retrieve" toy. I use the word "retrieve" guardedly, because he hasn't quite master the "give back" command. It will stand up as a tug toy for a while, but won't be long lasting if you have a chewer and allow him this toy at will. Best thing....it CRACKLES rather than squeaking; DogDog dances while he squeezes the thing and loves the sound. Of course, I'm one of those odd folks who actually LIKE the noise of the Cuz toys (I think they're a hoot), but if you don't......

mike87 My pup loves the chuckit ball and so far it has been my best dog toy purchase. That ball is good for fetching and is also good as a chewing toy. That ball lasts a really long time too! I found out while I was reading some product reviews here: https://dogtoysadvisor.com/best-dog-toys/. I had stopped buying dog balls because they got destroyed really fast, but I never gave up hope because he loves playing fetch with them.

I also give him the kong extreme stuffed with treats and it works great while I'm out. He takes about 2/3 hours to empty it. I've never seen an happy doberman when I handle my dog that toy filled with his favorite treats!

At number three is the nylanone, because it lasts for 1 year. He loves chewing it. Its very tough. The only problem is when I step on it

This is exactly what happened to Emily. I threw the cookie part of it away. She still plays with the toy alot.

Issues Best $10 I've ever spent.

lestat1978 When I bought the not-so Everlasting Treat Ball a fellow shopper warned me her dog could pop the discs right out. So can Ivan.

Ivan loved the Kong Wobbler, but also figured out how to unscrew it. When he broke a big chunk of plastic off I tossed it. Would definitely get him another though.

DobieGal15 EVerlasting treat ball is not everlasting at our house..... Also ordered the starmark toy that has the treat that screws on which is supposed to be even harder..... yeah, didnt last 5 min

I bought the orange one and it lasted ONE session with my boy. He somehow managed to slice it open so it can no longer hold the treat.
I have yet to find something that survives his mighty jaw!

Ruthie I thought we all decided a while back that the best toy was a paper towel...

dUcHeSs_ZaHrA I bought the everlasting bento ball and zahra loves it! she found out how to pop the treat out within 20 minutes. lol. we put treats, food and frozen fruit in it too and she plays with it for hours. when its empty she will drop it in your lap like refill please. this has been the only treat/toy that while playing with when the actual treat part is in that she has growled at me when i walked over by her. I was surprised b/c she will usually let me sit right next to her and even take whatever she has or pet her if i wanted and she would do nothing.

Another one Jax loves is the Kong Wobbler - you can put kibble in it and they have to slap it around to get it out- , sometimes we feed him part of his meal through it, keeps him busy

I got the Everlasting Chew from PetsMart, and the Kong Wobbler from Pet Valu.
My boy totally took the Kong Wobbler apart in a minute!! I have found that he has taken up a love with JW Pet's Derwin or as we call him Fred. He is a green frog that he takes everywhere with him. We have some spares on hand in case something should happen to "Fred" JW Pet is the maker of Good/Bad Cuz and he likes those too.

He also likes Deer Antlers. We got our first one during SS2011 on here and he loved it.

Sleighs907 Beau has the pickle by Starmark and it is great! It has slits in the sides so you can cram treats in there (and it would probably be great to put peanut butter in and freeze but we haven't tried that). Beau is really into dense rubber chew toys (kongs etc) so this is perfect...our neighbor has a boxer and that was where we saw the toy first (Beau stole it while we were over on a play date and knowing that Beau NEVER takes other dogs toys, we knew it was the toy of a lifetime haha)...anyway, here is a pic:

stryker2 Look into Bionic dog toys Designed for indestructibility
BIONIC Pet Products | Bionic Toys, Dog Toys | Dogs, Puppies
The Bionoc Toss n Tug is only interactive did not last with our aggressive chewers. The others last. I tested the ball out by running it over with my riding lawnmower. There was only a very slight cut not very deep in it.
They also have
Bionic Stuffer, Bionic Bone

smccann I know it's an old thread but I'm always looking for new chew items. One not mentioned here yet is the Hurley ~ Chew Dog Toys | West Paw Design
My male AB chewed on one for at least 3 months before it began to break down and those bully jaws are something else. Let's put it this way, those tire toys? He was through one of those and biting off pieces in two hours

As with any toy I recommend checking it daily for damage so that pieces are not ingested.

Laser pointers are a seriously bad idea for many dogs, yours included. Staring at the walls for hours is not a sign of mental health. I can usually identify the laser pointer obsessed dogs when they come into the store... focus on the floor, little jerky bobbing head movements that almost look like seizure behavior, hunting for dots and shadows and glints. It is very sad, and very preventable. Put your laser toy away permanently, please!

KoaRad Love the pics with "spiky yellow thing" - - I have many similar ones around here with "squeaky green frog"... it's cute how they get their favorites
12-23-2011 07:42 PM
DogsR4Life I was going to buy it, but then I read the ingredients I can't risk it with Chase's allergies.

Its quite entertaining to watch him play with his Spiky Yellow Thing. Its the only toy he will not destroy. He will carry it around, drop it from time to time, and push it with his nose to make it squeak. He will then whine, and grunt, squeak it again, then pick it up and carry it around. Its so funny

Here is the Spiky Yellow Thing $5 from any pet shop.

Pokey Pokey, lol

Sorry for the pic overload

TxDobieLady MY SS is very lucky she got an everlasting treat ball in her package!

bsisco Duchess has 2 Omega Paws treat balls. I use a portion of her dry dog food to load them. She carries them everywhere even when they're empty-takes them to bed. I like them because she has to think how to move the ball to get the treats to fall out-keeps her busy for hours. They have them at PetSmart, Walmart, Zellers.

Dobe&Dane The only thing my guys consistently pull out of their toy box is this: Invincibles Snake Dog Toy | Plush Dog Toys | Toys | Dog - ThatPetPlace.com
6 large squeakers, no stuffing (or very little) and can also be used as a tug toy

Gypsy can get the treat out of the everlasting treat ball in like 30 seconds. I still use the ball portion and just stick kibble and PB in there instead.

achiever There are a few toys that we love. The Buster Cube saved me last winter bc I could put his meal in it and he would stay occupied for an hour trying to get it all out.

We also have that big tough dinosaur and he chews on it every day. He has bitten off the end of his nose and feet but it was not a problem bc the stuffing is really easy to take out. So ours is stuffing free on the limbs but you can't even tell since the material is so stiff.

My new favorite toy is the Ruffian fish. We have two and when we are outside he has to have one in his mouth at all times.

The laser pointer is always a hit but if we play with it too much then he gets a little too OCD and just stares at the walls for hours.

Lastly, I don't know if this qualifies as a dog toy but the garden hose is something that he absolutely looses his mind over. He gets so excited over chasing that stream of water that I have to stop him. It is almost like he has a panic attack that he can't catch all of the water.
