After talking to her and Aunt Bug , we all thought about the same possible bad out come it could be . Thankfully it was not , I called Bug and Cindy both this morning to give them a update .

Now EG update - will get your opinion if she is getting better !

I have blood running down left hand from dober shark attack ! Bit on right big toe , bite on left ankle - took off with my shoe running around table , jumped up on Kadins bed and was trying to pull the sheets off , And thats about it for now .

Will give full report tomorrow , if I wake up
Ken,

If your bad lil' dobershark can do all that while carrying a load of subQfluids she's pretty much on the upswing.

If you do wake up--give us an update though.

You will laugh your a$$ off when you eventually see my attempt at taking a pic of the full moon the other night.
LOL. A tripod is definitely a great help when you're zooming way out and for moon shots. My settings for moon shots:
Manual
aperture f/10
ISO 100-160, depending on how full and bright the moon is.
shutter speed 1/200s or 1/250s
spot metering

Oh and to prevent camera shake, a remote shutter release is also nice, or use the timer

Will she make us one?

I like eating avocado out of the skin. I don't care for guacamole, so much.

And all I have is a tuna sandwich, which Mister disdains. You know. All the good things get in the way.

I'm guessing that the reason you need a script for the 10 mg is because they are afraid that someone will be trying to give babies or smaller kids 10mg without seeing a pediatrician to make sure that's what the kid needs.

But for the record the general rule of thumb about pills and what you can cut in half to get a smaller dose is that if it's a time release--don't ever cut those in half (or quarters or anything else) But generally if it's a drug in tablet form (as opposed to gel caps) and it's scored either for 1/2 or double scored for 1/4 you can safely cut or break those to have a smaller dose.

But as always--ask a pharmacist or your vet/doctor to be sure.

Well, now that I'm not so worried about Ken's lil' EG I can return to worrying about Clark (the tailless wonder) who I think may have a UTI (at least I'm hoping for a UTI and not a full fledged bout of FLUTD.

At least our weather has subsided to a pleasantly cool morning and only supposed to hit mid 70's this morning.

Good to know, Bug - that makes complete sense! (And for the record I wouldn't ever cut pills in half without consulting my vet first, of course). That's too bad that it doesn't work, though...would have made it easy!

Sorry to hear about Clark...I hope it's "just" a UTI, which is bad enough. My oldest cat has FLUTD. It SUCKS when they have a flare up, and I'm sure it's worse in a male. My girl has had it most of her life. It's pretty well managed. She eats wet food only, which helps, and she's also on fluoxetine, which also helps. But if she has a flare up it comes on SO FAST. She'll go from normal to peeing blood every 10 minutes in almost no time flat. Luckily I can call in (assuming it's during normal vet hours) and tell them what's going on and just go pick up meds...she ends up on fluids and pain meds to get her back under control. Fingers crossed it's been years....

StrykersPerson Kenny?

Maybe this music will sooth everyone's baby, Evie.

I don't necessarily like the lyrics but have loved this instrumental since childhood.

melbrod Poor Clark—I don't know if he'd appreciate it, but give him a hug or a scritch or something to let him know I'm thinking of him.

We adopted Eva from them in 2012, and they were hesitant to adopt to us in San Antonio since they couldn't make a home visit. I made a CD with pictures of our home, inside and out and provided Spock's records for them. I think only reason they agreed is because we were current Doberman owners. This would work in your favor since you had Doberman Axel previously.

Back on this subject.

My hold up is, Lily and Pepper are behind on shots. A rescue group is not going to talk to me, right now. I've been through the ringer before. Then when/if they do a home visit they will ask if the cat is vaccinated. Umm. No. She was a year and a half ago.

I would gladly meet you halfway to just foster that dog.

I do have the Kansas City Doberman Pinscher Rescue as references.

I fostered two dogs for them and babysat another foster's dog. Then they granted me with Axel.

StrykersPerson Hey! Where has Beau been?

We don't have any Andy and Trev updates.

BeauBear?

Will you ask Baby Bear to bring me back a souvenir?

I will gladly accept a small rock.

So far I have rocks from Italy and West Africa.

StrykersPerson Kenny?

How is our Evie?

She will bounce back! I know it!

Wonder what really went South with her?

I can't imagine that she got into anything. I know she is watched like a hawk.

Babies get sick, right?

melbrod As a long term deer-in-the-yard photographer, I'll just tell you now to save you a little trouble—deer only do cute things when you don't have the camera in your hands.

A couple of days ago I looked out the patio door, and saw a doe nursing her two babies out by the swing set. They were giving her some good head thumps to get their milk—cute, cute—so I rushed to get the camera to take a video. Which I keep on the bookshelf RIGHT BY the door. By the time I got it out of the bag (maybe 5 seconds later) they were done? or at least behind the swing set heading back toward the hillside, so I couldn't even get any pictures without swing set legs in the picture.

StrykersPerson Kenny?

Did you call the breeder?
08-08-2020 09:49 AM
StrykersPerson I was going to comment yesterday about how strange this summer has been.

It's been pretty much Fall here the entire summer. I wonder if that means were going to have a crappy Winter.

I will have to check the Farmer's Almanac.

Who am I kidding? I can't even get through all the buttons on my camera.

There was a deer out by the peach/apricot tree again this morning.

I was afraid to get up and get the camera for fear I would chase her off. Turns out Pepper took care of that.

Boy, I feel better to know that at least it wasn't a blockage. The subQfluids should make her feel better and so should the stuff for her upset stomach. I'll keep checking for an update.

And keeping my fingers crossed for the lil' EG.
