Ha - I meant to respond to this as well ..

I am not sure how Mila will respond to the doorbell as it has not rang yet since she has been here. But Molly and O.D. would also go off. Doorbell rings and two dobers hitting the door.

Even when a doorbell or dog barks on tv we had to tell Molly and O.D. tv dog or tv doorbell. And that seemed to work with them. In training now with Mila for the dog barks on tv. TV dog Mila all is good

Well, Kenny just proved that he wears the pants in this chicken family.

I was out checking for eggs and he violated one of the hens right in front of me!

Is there no decency left in this world?

Each team has over 600 yards of offense. Ole Miss has 402 yards rushing, 200 of them by the quarterback.

Final
LSU 58 Ole Miss 37

Yeah that is crazy - I get the need for offense (Auburn - cough).but defense needs to be there as well. Otherwise may be in a bit of trouble in the post season play.

Here are a few things from the PapaBear family, done over the many years.

Guitar / Wish I had learned to play drums.

Oil Painting / Drawing - went to College with a kid that painted and he had his parents supplies / so Larry painted a barn sense, now to make a black walnut frame for my one and only 1974 art piece.

Sewing - GF (Mrs67) made her grade12 prom dress...she could sew.
- now if she could make me some seat covers for a truck or 2

Fencing - Nope

Bread Baking & Cooking - wife Nancy is a natural, learned from mother ...cooks & bakes like a trained chef.

Reading - Nancy is a master in reading, English & Latin. She can sit down and polish off 100 pages / while Larry is a poor reader, and enjoys learning and research instead via short text reading.

Photography - Larry enjoyed photo taking, on my cell phone now. Haven't used my 35 mm digital, in several years.

Online gaming - Andrew @ 17 was playing 4-8 tables @ a time, ranked semi pro. Games changed via USA Govn. over money laundering etc. and games setup to take out the pros...so play was retired

Martial arts - young 9 year old Andrew was bullied by a kid 4 years older that failed 2 grades. So dad said, "you dedicate yourself to karate, I will pay for it.
- soon he was doubling up on his classes and assisted the 4th degree sensei (wife of head school founder), teaching the junior class
- he would bring home all the 1st place trophy's in 3 forms of combat
- dad witnessed a baseball kid arguing with son over him playing 1st base and kid said he was taking the preferred position next game, because his father was the coach / even though Andrew was put on 1st because he was left handed
- kid threw a punch at 10 year old Andrew, while he blocked it and planted a solid round-house kick, across his left ear...and the fat kid, dropped to the ground like a rock in water /// no one ever messed with Andrew in school, for more than 20 seconds
- we drove home from the ball practice, laughing it up...all the way home
Master Sensei honored, in local news:
https://www.stthomastimesjournal.com...gwEnLr0S5GO6PE

Chess - 14 y/o son was checkmated quick, by a chess master in 10 [email protected] pool hall.
- so he asked mom to but him a computer chess game & studied the game several hours per day, next 10 days straight
- he finally beat the computer, entry level master level
- next day he challenged the chess master for a rematch & after 3.5 straight hours, Andrew had checkmated this master
- that was the last chess game, Andrew ever played / the challenge had been conquered

Good Stories Beau!

Yeah every once in awhile I think about trying drums. Not sure how the Mrs. would like that in the house.

Wow Latin!

Looks like once the family sets their mind to it they do their best to accomplish. Good trait...wish I had more of it! Maybe would settle on a hobby
Of all the things listed - I did martial arts the best....when I was younger. Many tournaments that I did ok at. Also helped the instructor. I think some of that training attributed to portions of my neck/back problems But was fun at the time.

SP mentioned her dad did Intarsia - When I looked at some videos - reminded me of stained glass. Which I also tried my hand at.

Reminds me of another story - Wife signed up for stained glass lessons. Turned out the place was just down the street from us. The Saturday came and I was on the computer early wife had left to go up the hill for the lesson. I got a call saying she was the only one there would I like to come up. So I got dressed and walked up to the house. Turns out the lady who was instructing went to the same high school I did in New York a few years ahead of me so I did not know her at the time. Plus it was a big school. Some how both of us ended up in same town in SC. Very small world at times.

Hi Beau!

Hi SP - Like many posts, I mean to go back and reply but then a number of posts get in between and my memory forgets

I bet it is a great feeling to get your first eggs. Now you get to look forward to getting your own eggs you can put into many dishes!

One other thing I meant to reply about - Someone mentioned smell in relation to taste and food - Mel maybe
I think this is true - many of the foods I do not like I really do not even like the smell of them.
Examples - Mushrooms, do not like them much and do not like the smell of them cooking. Same with seafood and many cooked vegetables.
Flipside examples - I like blue cheese but it has a strong smell. I also like tuna fish for sandwiches.

Other part of food for me is texture - stewed or whole cooked tomatoes do not like. But puree (baby food if you must ) such as used in sauces I do like....strange I know.

ECIN Them is some NICE eggs you have there SP

Have no idea whats going on here today - wish it was back in the 70's - still have lots of outside work to be done around here .

I did go over to the farm a little bit ago - My sister put up a nesting box in the cattle - hay barn this fall for Barn Owls - there is NO nesting pair in our county - according to the Indiana DNR - so that is her deal - I just keep a eye on it for her + every year - we Have a Northern Harrier that stops by for a few days before heading on South - still no sight on them yet - and No sand hills either .

I bet TN is out at the park with his new camera !

SD - How's the weather in the South land ? BTW- Need a update on your gang ! that means pictures - lol

everybody have a great Sunday !

StrykersPerson Triple like!

I will have a word with him.

I have a rooster with a defunct-ed crow.

It cracks me up!

Today I will be making stuffed pasta shells. Mexican style.

Hamburger, cream cheese and chili powder. Stuffed in pasta shells with a picante sauce base and topping. Topped with cheese. Served with salad.

What is on everyone else's agenda for the day?

Guitar
Oil Painting
Drawing
Sewing - I have made a few things - the sewing part is ok. The cutting patterns out then cutting the fabric is tedious.
Fencing - not the wood posts in the ground - sword fighting(foil or epee) - a lot of leg work - was a 2-3 month course.
Bread Baking- I am pretty good at this and enjoy it as well
Cooking - we have done a number of classes for vacation
Reading -
Photography - I need to take lessons from TN and my Uncle
Online gaming- unfortunately this took up too much of my time when I was younger. But for me it seemed natural progression from Science Fiction and Fantasy books to visual of this genre.
Martial arts - Aikido in high school, Tae Kwon Do as an adult and when I turned 50 a few years ago tried Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lee). I lasted 3-6 months to far to drive and I hurt my foot...
Chess - play on and off...went to a few tournaments when moved here to SC

There are others but I bounce around a bit. One to find something and two I like the variety of doing different things or trying.

A couple of things I am thinking about next.
Wood carving - keeping in the artistic arena.
Learning a language - maybe Spanish - French in high school is long gone even the one class of German from College (got an A but do not remember anything).

Dang! K State lost. I expected it from KU.

Ma, I don't know their anthems. I did not go to either college. But you told me the answer anyway! Off the cob!

If I were to actually have gone to college? Kansas State would have been the one. I tend to prefer agricultural colleges. I even support Texas A&M.
