I like Larrys training videos also......I like order of how he approaches dog training and they way he trains his humans first. |
We have never used ecollar training but he has taught me a lot in the area of dog behavior.
Plus he is funny....

|Bruno19||Yes guys, i have to say that he is a great dog with great character. The trainer who teached him basic obedience was very satisfied working with him. By the way i was watching videos of Larry Krohn on YouTube and i liked the style of his training methods|

But I agree with you--character counts. And with Cressrb that he'll be a dog to be proud of no matter what country his background breeding may be.

|Cressrb||He looks like a nice dog, Bruno! Thanks for sharing pictures of him. I know you are proud of him. I would know he was a Doberman if I met him. If you don't have papers and cannot show him, just love him for what he is. He is a dog you can walk down your streets with pride and he will serve you well.|

|Bruno19||Thank you all for your reply. The most important i think is the character of the puppy and i think he is great. His character is exactly how a Doberman should be (from what i've read). I believe that when he will become 3 years old will be clear what line of Doberman is. Maybe it's to soon to judge now. By the way i feed him only dry food Taste of the Wild which i think if very good especially for Dobermans.|

Don't know what happened to an earlier post but here's what I had to say--again... |
I translated the 65 cm to inches and it's just over 25-1/2 inches. That would be very small for an adult male Doberman on practically all of the standards.
AKC is 26-28 inches for males--25-1/2 is regarded as perfect size for a bitch.
Can't tell much more than that from the pictures.

He looks purebred to me, just not well bred. He's likely a mixture of whatever pet quality lines are in that general area of the world, he looks a fair bit like the pet dobes I've seen in Africa and the middle East in pictures at least, and even some poorly bred european dogs, including one well known BYB in France. |
He is cute though, as long as you are enjoying him and loving him that's what matters most.

Either way sure is a nice looking pup ! |
Keep up the good work !

|MaryAndDobes||He doesn't really look like either to me. He doesn't look like he's very well bred, and he kind of looks like a mix, maybe a Beauceron / Doberman. But I really don't know about the quality of the breed in your area. He just doesn't look like a quality specimen from either Europe or America.|

|Kansadobe||I could not see the photo that you posted, but there are very, very few American Dobermans in your part of the world.|

He owns Dobies for 35 years and actually he has a farm with various animals. He told me that if somebody needs a dog with pedigree, he has to let him know before the birth. The price of the puppy would be also 5 times more expensive so people rarely need dogs with pedigree he said. His dogs were imported from Israel and arengood in health generally (14 years old life expectancy). Is the only thing i know. As for pictures i am not a specialist, but i will see what i can do!

It's really hard to figure anything out when there is no background to even make a guess at size. And if you want an evaluation of conformation if you stack your puppy up (four square) and have someone take a picture with the sun on him and behind the camera with the photographer taking the picture aimed at the dogs shoulder that gives the best chance at making an evaluation from a picture. |
Also if you can measure his height from ground to top of shoulder and weigh him that would be helpful too.
Why didn't the breeder give you a pedigree or register him before you got him?

|Bruno19||Hello guys! My boy is now 14 months old. Please tell me your opinion. Is my Dobie European or American? What do you think about his size?|

I see... What do you think about my boy? I see on the internet dobies with wild face characteristics. Does the face change as he matures?

|Fitzmar Dobermans||He certainly looks purebred, if not well bred. There really is no way to tell his breeding or country of origin from the pictures though.|
