In other news, we have one cabinet company coming by today and another tomorrow to give us quotes on replacing our el cheapo kitchen cabinets. We're going to have our kitchen redone soon with new countertops, new flooring etc. so just like our bathroom remodel, I thought if you're going to do it, do it right the first time so we'll see how much decent cabinets will set us back. If the price ain't right, then the el cheapos stay. Mrs. TN has some ideas of what she'd like to include more cabinet space to which I say (to myself ) if she didn't have so much stuff, she wouldn't need all that cabinet space! We have enough pots and pans to start a restaurant, I tell ya. IMHO, you need a small pot, a medium and a large one. And of course, a skillet. Maybe, maybe, 2 skillets.
Back off of Mrs TN!

I mean it!

Where is my Yosemite Sam Meme?

She's got a posse standing behind her!

Can't say that I personally tried it - I don't make a habit of eating kibble - haha. I didn't like the ingredient list - too much junk IMHO.

When DW gives critique on jobs, still in progress, I usually respond with:

"Could use some extra help. Don't need another supervisor" which gets me a bunch of grief....
I love your DW!

LMAO

Do not backtalk and you won't get any grief!

The answer should have been, "Yes Dear".

You did it to yourself Daddio!

It is not do as I do around here. It's do as I say!

Seriously though.

It was his idea to move forward with the walk though.

And, I absolutely positively know that I am no good holding up one end of a 14 foot end of sheet rock.

He's going to build some temporary braces so it will accommodate my feminine weaknesses.

The Annamaet I feed is very low - I had to call the company to get the numbers. Being that kibble is only about 1/2 her diet, I'm ok with the fact that the copper content is a little bit higher than the RX kibble.... the quality IMHO is much higher.

Fun toy but only under supervision.
That fuzzy stuff on the ball was coming off BUT it was just a special moment toy.

Boy last night was a treat !!! Kadin and little girl told me they had to go out at the same time - around 1:30 this morning - I let Kadin out first ( mistake ) little girl was lose - she got around me and the smack down was on . What to do ? So I let them burn off some energy - then they would go right back to sleep , Well I could not call off Kadin to come in - I was starting to get a little ticked off - I was so tried and these 2 don't have to get up or they can take a nap today , Then I had a brain storm idea ! I have a Super Soaker laying on the patio table - AND it was full ! I pumped it way up , walked out in the yard and gave them one more chance to nock it off , they didn't so I took a bead on them both and pulled the trigger ! They don't call them Super Soakers for nothing ! I had 2 dobermans headed in opposite directions - they stopped and looked at me - both shaking and shaking - the funning thing - they some way know knew there names and walked right in the back door and to bed !

I liked to never went back to sleep , But Kadin in less in 2 seconds was soring God you have to love them
Lily was bad last night. She was outside. It was dark outside. I could hear her doing her woof out back. Opened the door to call her in. The coyotes were extremely close. I tried to call her in and she ran the other way towards the pasture side yard fence and started barking her head off. I stood out there for a good 2 minutes screaming my arse off for her to get her arse in the house. She wouldn't come in.

Came back in the house and told Mister to call his dog in and that the coyotes were too close. Went back to the porch and stood there screaming my head off for her to get back in the house. Then I had to do my I mean business whistle! She came in at the whistle. I can whistle pretty damn loud!

Gee! I sure hope I didn't disturb my neighbors with all the noise I was making last night.

dobebug Yeah, my dogs get a hardboiled egg with dinner and a couple of tablespoons of yogurt with breakfast (or cottage cheese if I have some that is going to hit the expiration date. I hardboil them because I can do them a dozen at a time and the dogs have to share them with me--I do give a bite of my egg salad sammiches to the poor dog who has to watch me make it

.

Actually I only have Joey the loaner--sometimes he seems like several dogs. He's abandoned me for several days to go and play show dog. His breeder and I were sharing the joys of trimming and bathing today and that was good for a laugh.

And I discovered something while all of this was going on. We've had endless problems with Joey and my truck (and sometimes with his breeders various vehicles--she's got some truely big ones--a Chev something that huge. But old Toyota Tacomas are small--the new Tacomas are huge by comparison. With the tailgate down Joey could probably step into it. But no--it's become a game for him and a source of irritation for me.

So a week ago I wanted to take him to work with me because I wanted to weigh him. We were at the back of the truck--I had extra special treats and he had launched into his various methods of pretending he couldn't hear me and had no idea what he was supposed to do. And I was late-- and in a fit of temper I not only yelled at him (THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO GET A DOG TO DO ANYTHING--and I don't recommend it) but I gave a healthy snap with the leash.

To my huge surprise he not only jumped in the truck but he didn't do his other smart arze routine which is to jump in and then jump out before I can take the leash off and shut the crate.

And when we went home and I was expecting another diva act--instead he hopped right in. YAY.

So this week I took him again but with the dremel and clippers so I could put him up on one of the lifts so I wasn't standing on my head doing nails and trimming him.

And he chose to act as if he'd never even seen clippers before. I knew he had because he's been in shows and he can't pretend things like that with the dremel because that happens about every 5 or 6 days.

But he was so relieved to get off the lift and away from the deadly clippers that I hardly had time to open the tail gate--I told his breeder about it and we both looked at the dog who seems to be brighter than we are --told her I thought we'd probably been using the wrong technique and all it really needed was to have him so something he really really didn't like at all so the truck became his 'place of peace and safety.

And now I'm going to bed--Joey already went to his bed, taking a cat along with him...who knows.

I hope he never learns how to exhibit Mocha's soulful look--I'll never have a moments peace again...

4x4bike ped Dogs and hard boiled eggs....

McCoy gets one everyday with one of his meals. He also occasionally gets the yolk if my wife decides to eat only the white of a hardboiled egg. He loves them

The dog can be sound asleep upstairs in his crate. If he hears the sound of an egg cracking in the kitchen he is downstairs and in his "please" sit in a flash.

STJ!

TNfisher MC, I'm happy to report back that your suggestion of hard boiled eggs was the ticket! I chopped up half a hard boiled egg and mixed it up good with her kibble and she was on it like white on rice

I could probably chop up some cucumber and that would work as well, but eggs are good for them so maybe I'll mix it up, cucumber one meal, eggs the next.

Since she has food allergies, I'm trying to keep it as simple and natural as possible.

Still trying to decide if I should take some vacation time next week or just crate her downstairs so my wife can take her out through the garage for potty...I hate to do that to her but she'll have to be crated eventually, I do have a finite amount of vacation time and she's going to be on a minimal activity/no stairs regimen for a while.
