Mini Rant:

Reminds me of those network news magazine programs that stretch out a crime story (always with a twist at end) with loads of commercials inserted. After each commercial, narrator must rehash everything that was covered before, as if to be catering to a group of brain dead viewers. The network talent competition programs are the same- 10 min of sad contestant family disease history, 5 min of actual performance, 5 min of commercials, 10 min of rehash, then repeat, for 2-hours, several times/week. I'll just have to say the editors certainly earn their pay churning out this [email protected] So thankful for the DVR!

LadyDi Oh Doc.
You have food warnings in your area.
Just a heads up in case you hadnít noticed.
Your welcome and I know.

Reviewed driveway video cameras and we got 1+" in 20 minutes!

StrykersPerson There is a really annoying Mockingbird sounding off and I don't know where he's at!

Show yourself!

I give up!

Thank God that wasn't going on during my interview.

We haven't turned the A/C on yet. That might have been a strike against me!

Super Duper Funny!

I'm still laughing!

I was confident that there was not going to be a last minute zoom session! And! I promptly sent a Thank You E-mail to my recruiter and the ladies that I interviewed with.

That's all I can do for the time being.

I am still waiting for unemployment to make it to me.

Really?

I get it.

Wait my turn.

Ugh!

My house payment isn't late yet.

That's a good thing.

Ooops!

I think I just ranted.

I apologize.

StrykersPerson Crap! Now I really do have to get this office straightened out! I do have two desks in here. One for work and one for crap right now.

I guess I need not stress about it today. I am counting my chickens before they hatch.

But, I was looking for a reason to get this room rearranged and all that jazz.

I could lie to Mister and say I got the job and manipulate him that way!

LOL

Beau has a really smart & gifted nephew, that had trouble finding a higher tier job, with added direct reports.
- I insisted, he needed to be clean shaving (to start with) / and a higher end brand of suit
- so he hit the gym & lost 40 pounds, and replaced his office cloths
- and he did land, a whale of a new job / & beard trimmed, much shorter
- sometimes developing the proper mind set, is all that is needed...to succeed

SP - Yes, shave them babies, Legs smooth...little perfume to.
- added effort of preparedness, will make you feel better / and ACE the interview

Good news is the Chinese restaurant in Sturgis is open again. Their food isn't that great, but at least I don't have to cook it, so it's a nice break. And Rich was able to get everything on the shopping list yesterday, EXCEPT alcohol and nitrile gloves. Well, he did get alcohol, but he shouldn't have... I use the gloves when milking because I seem to be a carrier of staph and I don't want to pass it to the cows (mastitis), but since I'm not going to be milking for another few months, it's no big deal. I still have some, I just wanted to re-stock my supply. And the alcohol, what was I thinking? I still have two full bottles, but I like to have four or five on the shelf, for just in case, but I forgot it was a hand sanitizer ingredient and not to be had. (I know there are two "buts" in that sentence, please don't send me to the woodshed! AAAHHHH!) I had told Rich to grab three or four bottles if he could, but all they had were little bitty 4 oz. bottles, and they were TWO DOLLARS each! He should have just passed on by, but he just does what he's told, so he got four of the $2.00 bottles. What a waste of money. You know, he takes a cheapie pre-paid cell phone with him in case he needs to call me about something while he's out, but did he call? Noooooo.... Oh, well, it's only $8.00, I guess it's not the end of the world.

He was able to get the full load of meat for Jasper, though, and ten gallons of milk, plus the regular big packs of TP and paper towels at Sam's. We didn't really need them, but he got them, and that's OK. If people start hoarding again, I'm getting a head start on them this time!

Oh, yeah, he got Willie's preferred kibble, too! Willie will be so happy! He's gained all his weight back now, and is sleek and fit, however, he begs for canned food now every morning. I've slowly started weaning him off of it, but he's addicted, so it's slow going.

In kitten news, Sissy the Trailer Trash Cat moved her kittens to the garage, so we have those three (one of hers is the one we lost the other day), plus two from Bill, who we always thought was a boy, until she had kittens. Too late to change her name now, so she's still Bill. One of the Chipmunk twins had a HUGE eye the other day, but I couldn't catch him to see what the heck it was. Then that night, it 'sploded. She had them out in an area with a bunch of burdocks, so I think he got a sticker in his eye and it infected and abscessed. Now the abscess is drained, and I was able to catch him in the garage and get a look at it. I think that eye is a goner, but it seems to be healing. I'm putting Gentamycin drops and triple-antibiotic ointment in his eyes, and drops in the other kittens' eyes as well. Some of them have a bit of crustiness, so better safe than sorry. Yesterday I was able to catch and treat all five of them, yay!

Since I have an overabundance of eggs right now (seriously, we're getting a dozen a day, sometimes more), I'm running out of room in the fridges to store them, so I steamed two 18-packs yesterday and made a double batch of mayonnaise for egg salad. Rich doesn't like egg salad, and I'm never going to be able to eat all of this before it goes bad, so I'll prolly be sharing with the kittens. Maybe they'll decide I'm kind of an OK person, and I'll be able to catch them when it's their turn to go to the vet. I can always hope, right?

Rich didn't have the time, or the space in the pickup, to get tomato and pepper plants, and just as well, because I don't have a place to plant them yet anyway, so I guess there won't be a garden this year. I still want to plant a few cuke plants because I DO need some more pickles, but that's probably going to be it. I still have a bunch of canned tomatoes on the pantry shelf from the last couple years, so I can probably stretch those until next year. What I miss are the peppers. I only have two quart bags of frozen sweet bell pepper chunks left. Sad face.

We were supposed to be sunny today and 70 degrees, but it's cloudy outside and only 50, so that remains to be seen. The forecast was wrong yesterday, and it will probably be wrong today as well. I'm getting used to sloppy weather forecasts, but I still don't LIKE it.

Wishing all of you a warm and sunny day today!
Never a dull moment at your house Lannie!

If I get this job, working from home is only temporary. Eventually I will have to go to the office. I know I am going to hate it. Luckily the office is right around the corner from where I used to work.

spocksdad Storms Last Night!

60 mph winds and grape sized hail, 1" rain in 30 min. here in N. Central SA last night. Severe T-Storms moved through entire area from north. Dobes both very nervous, even with coats tightly on and wrapped up in blankets like burritos! Netted about half dozen mini frogs out of pool this morning. Lots of leaves & small branches down also, so cleanup before resuming project.

LaDi, be careful tomorrow going to work...Watch out for those running red lights and shooting you the finger during your friendly commute!

New member thread post by Phy really got me worried about Eva's arthritis condition worsening, even when on medication...

https://www.dobermantalk.com/new-mem...ml#post4134537

Eva's always excited to go on her daily walks and runs in backyard for squirrels, but is self limiting length of walks, like Ken's girl did in her last years. However, each short walk is just nothing but a sniffing and smelling fest for her, which she really enjoys. I also am putting her out on tether in front yard while working on landscape project. Next to sniffing, snooping in front of house is her favorite thing!
