I don’t know details I’m afraid, just the diagnosis made on elevated white blood cells. [emoji20]
There is nothing they can do unless they can get to Slovenia

The Axel Thread

Some sad news [emoji17]

Axels mum Lora is extremely poorly. She has been diagnosed today with leukaemia and cannot get treatment due to Coronavirus stopping them travelling with her to Slovenia, the closest place that will offer chemo.

She is only 5 years old, and will most likely be gone in 2 months.

Very sad. Gave Axel a big hug and shed a few tears tonight [emoji22]

Cressrb Great to hear from you again, Louise&Aaron. Axel looks marvelous. I like what you did with your yard - quite a difference, and to think no more mowing!

LadyDi Oh those muddy Pics of Axel are great!
I do not think he could get any dirtier than that !!
Yeah glad you are staying busy. Sorry about your accident.
Me, I bought a beach cruiser and its a trike! Teaching Hoss to run along with me. So far Hoss respects my wheels but I have not taken him out on the road yet. Plus room for a case of beer on the back end ! Ba ha ha ha !
We have a thread going regarding the virus....feel free to bop in and say a word or two...all of us Try to keep each other up to date on articles of truth happening in our own residential areas.
Would love to hear your perspective.
Anyway ....give Axel a great big hug for me...man what a bear he is !!!!Love it !

melbrod Pretty sure you have yourself an Airedale there:

Louise&Aaron Oooohhhhhh I have some dirty Dobe pics [emoji23] this is the day he ruined my car [emoji85]

Our pleasure re the test kits, just wish they would/could test so much more. The death rate figures are so grossly inaccurate due to the low testing levels!
Anyway, I was out of work for 8 weeks - broke my arm badly snowboarding - so coming back to work last week has been like getting hit by a bus! Workload is insane!!

LadyDi So good to hear from you today.
Axel is so big.....I think next months calendar is "Dirty Dobes" so if you have any muddy pics send those in for sure.
Hoss is a Euro. and his prey drive was extremely high.........he is 4 years now ( will be 5 in december) and I must say over the last year he has really matured.
He had a cat run from him when he was just over 1 year and boy oh boy what a job it has been to keep our neighborhood kittys safe.
Even when on a lead it was quite a chore to take him for a walk.
But now ......he walks by them......and yes he wants them......but I tell him to leave it.....and he does leave it...or else he has figured out my azz is bigger than his and he WILL NOT get that cat. He tried to take me surfing a few times but I always won .....thank goodness.
Hoss also began Nosework classes ...that has really made a big difference .....being around other dogs alot yet having to remain in down stays as he waits for his turn to do a search. Anyway...what a beautiful boy !!! And thanks for all of those test kits......

Louise&Aaron Hey everyone LadyDi pinged me a message asking for an update!
How are you all?
Axels reactivity seemed to get worst so we are back to basics at home training calmness, and focus. We will slowly work our way back to walks but to be honest he’s getting more exercise playing the games the trainer has given us to help him with impulse control.
Anyway, we’ve had our garden redone after lots of rain Axel had totally destroyed the grass so we took the plunge and went for artificial grass and he loves it!
Here are some pics as updates with before and afters of the garden and one of Axel enjoying the sun during lockdown!
I hope everyone is healthy and bearing up during lockdown? I am still working as I work for Roche Diagnostics so you can imagine we got busy!!!!

Our May category is "Outdoor Dobes" It should fit right in there.

LadyDi Well he looks great!
Hoss tends to be reactive if he does not spend time around other dogs.
After many different attempts I found training classes to be the most controlled atmosphere for Hoss.
And during that process you still have to be so proactive to ensure your pup has great experiences (stupid people in training centers also).
But schools have rules that are followed, so that helps.
Hoss is turning 4 and I found he became more confident between 2.5 years and now.
With Hoss I always keep a close eye on targeting......after he gets the stare going things start happening.

Ewwwwwww......and a very nice mom for letting her baby get filthy because he was having fun.

Here I always thought my picture of Capri was sorta impressive (I think she sat in a mud puddle) but it seems she was amateur and a tyro at that, compared to your professional mudder.

Maybe we need a "Dobes in the Mud", or "Dirty Dobes" (no innuendos intended) instead of "Water Dobes" as a calendar category next year.

I hate, hate, hate those extendable leashes.

I should try and post a video and show you what he was running through!! You can assess his reaction to the lurcher too!! Will give it a go in a bit
