Yep! It just went through and winding down. I survived.

I haven't checked Kenny's thread yet but, I bet he didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. Checking on his new baby.

dobebug OK Kenny,

Now that I have the baby dog report for this morning I guess I can go back to be-supposed to be warm (around 80 degrees today) so I better go do the outside stuff early so I'm not trying to get anything done during the afternoon when it's hottest.

Hope you get some more sleep this morning Mel.

I did try looking for the comet which is supposed to be visible both just before sunrise and just before sundown. Couldn't find it this morning (but I don't know where I'm supposed to be looking) and forgot about it last night.

55 degrees now and I'm going back to bed.

ECIN Good morning everybody ! Very peaceful night here - Little girl is doing a great job of doing her business outside ! But today is a new day - we woke up to a puppy full of pizz and vinegar !!!!!!! She is full of energy , that's for sure ! Took her out and she is already doing the security check of the dog lot - ran - walked the perimeter , then here she came running and then attacked the little loop on the back of my tennis shoes ! Then back into the house - ran around the couch , then ran right up to me - did the Dober big girl play bow and barked - LMAO -- Just to cute ! Well better go - wife is with her and its to quit in there - better check on both of them !

Yep, next we'll see a pic posted by Doc's, Nancy, of him racked out on "his" recliner next to new little Sweetcorn Doberbaby.

melbrod Hi, SD. What are you doing still up? I got on to say goodnight, fully expecting to see the early morning crowd already here, and they're all missing in action. Guess the new little girl has Kenny all worn out…but what excuse do the rest of you have? Whoops, LDi just showed up while I was typing. I guess you lazy folks are starting to stir—it's about time!

We just had some pretty heavy winds go through—noisy, noisy, kept me up. I guess it was a version of the Chinooks, the downslope wind in the winter that warms us up considerably in a short space of time. We went from a temp of about 69 around 11, which is fairly typical for this time of year—you would expect it to continue to drop to about 60 as the night goes on.

But with the wind—it's 79 degrees out there now, which is absolutely ridiculous. Looking at the weather map, right up against the foothills where downslopes are the strongest, temps are 10 degrees warmer than over on the east side of town, just 10 miles or so away.

It's not fair.

But it has gotten quieter, so I'm off to bed to see if I can get a little sleep before it really gets hot.
07-13-2020 05:29 AM
LadyDi Yup hot here also. Wishing for winter.

Gosh Ken,

I'm trying to translate time--I think I just got back from the clinic where I fed the cats and wrote a food order and did about a million loads of laundry--none of the computers were functioning and there was a note on the surgery board that said there was a power failure on 7/11 and everything was unplugged.

So I got home kind of later than I usually do and then I went out and dismantled the places in the fence that had maple saplings growing behind them and murdered the saplings and filled up the green lawn and garden containerl And I was going to take a nap but I'll take little whatshername out for you (lemme' get my magic carpet reved up!)

If you still had your pool, SP would be up there pronto to help out with the new little girl's frequent potty breaks (in between beers).

My wife suggest a call name of "Nena" which is endearing Spanish term for little girl.

I thought if brother is "Mr. B" then why not "Ms. B" ? But, this might be confusing when calling him & her, plus have a negative alternative meaning...

DW also liked "Prima" since she'll be numero uno very soon and calling the shots with Kadin, before he knows what hit him!

StrykersPerson So, Kenny.

I went to your thread and saw my puppy.

I will find you.

StrykersPerson Yeah! What Ma said!

You can't treat us like this! We are family!

Don't make me ask Ma to deputize me.
