melbrod Now this is a new one for me:

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
Southeastern Teller County in central Colorado...
Northwestern El Paso County in east central Colorado...

* Until 1030 AM MST.

* At 958 AM MST, a dangerous snow squall was located near Air Force
Academy, or 13 miles north of Colorado Springs, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow. Wind gusts
to 40 to 50 mph will be possible.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Dangerous travel.

I-25 from Colorado Springs to Monument will be affected by this snow
squall. Strong west winds to 50 mph will be possible.

I always think of squalls out on the water affecting sailing ships....a snow squall just sounds weird to me.

Anyway, I'm just south of the Air Force Academy, so this one is north of me.

Well, I'm pretty sure I know what the "F" stands for, at least.

We only got an inch at most out of our predicted 5-6 inch storm. And now it's all melted, except where it fell on already existing snow drifts.

I hope yours is the same.

Ken--heal quickly. I'm not sure how well you'll be able to type with a bum elbow and we need your creative spelling here to add a little levity to our humdrum lives.

Though on second thought, maybe a bad elbow will make your spelling even more fun to decipher.

But I'm hoping you won't have to add too many #[email protected]&%*! in there.

Well? It's a wheelbarrow, just dump the crap, eh? I wish I had one with more than one wheel. They're really hard to balance when they have 800 pounds of (real) crap in them.

I was not that big at that time and they would load it beyond full and tell to take on the other side of the house or where ever - Now if you have ever have been on a construction site - its all unlevel - mud ruts - heck its hard just to walk on or over - I turned that POS every time then get a chitty look from dad or one of the help ! I then had to reload it all up - most times I made it in 2 trips , instead of the 1 - LOL Did I say I hate them things ?? Still today !!! The best thing to do with one is to take a large hammer and break off the handles ! Even saw them off works for me !

Now I have seen one of the 4 wheel drive units work before - My question is- Where in the H E Double L were they 40 + years ago ???

Lannie - I would ditch that wheelbarrow and use that skid loader !

I know ! How about 5 gallons of gas and a book of matches for the wheelbarrow ! I hate them damn things
I know exactly what it's like to try to have to push an overloaded wheelbarrow over uneven ground and have it tip over on me. Except I'm not picking up bricks. But even when I have to pick it all up twice, it's better than having to carry each forkload out and throw it over the foyer fence. Especially when there's ice or deep snow. There's a time and a place for wheelbarrows, and we are the place, and this is the time.

Oh, yeah, and the barn and surrounding fence/gate was built long before we got the Bobcat. It won't fit. Anyway, it's so sloppy right now, even if it did fit, it would sink up past the wheels and be stuck there forever. It's HEAVY!

I was thinking. Sure I can run to Walmart, yet once again, and get me a little red wagon. For real.

But then I came to my senses and stayed home.

Chicken food is in the house!
Rude scolding, LOL! You haven't heard rude scolding yet!

So... are the chickens moving in with you, too? (That's not rude scolding, it's a wry remark. )

And now for the weather. We've had FIVE days of clear blue skies, decent temps, and very little wind. I knew it was too good to last. It's VFW (figure it out) out there this morning, feels like about 40mph with higher gusts when I try to open one of the doors, AND there's a brand new Winter Weather Advisory this morning. For today. Again.

I really need to give Oliver (the steer) back to the neighbor, but every time we get the snow cleared out, either it warms up and gets too muddy to drive back there without getting stuck, or it snows again and fills all the cleared areas back up with snow. Well, just a few more weeks of this and then we'll be in "spring" weather, which might actually be more snow, but lots warmer temps so it doesn't stay around long. There's still the mud problem, though. Hey, Oliver is halter trained, so maybe I'll just tell the neighbor to send his kids over here on foot and they can lead him home. It's only two and a half miles.

Yes, good morning, lets talk about Kenny.
He PMed me because he did not want to gross anyone out over their lunch with his elbow update.
Yesterday it worsened and hes plans to get some clinical care today.
Keep him in your thoughts because he is really hurting but trying to not think about it.
Elbow blew yesterday and bled Quite a bit so he plans to have it checked today for sure to make sure its not infected etc etc.
So praying so hard for him to have the best physicians hands on him today.
