melbrod Son is in the middle of some Liszt piece...it'll probably take him a bit to "master" it...for those of you who don't know, Liszt pieces are considered among the most difficult piano pieces to play. A lot of them are quite above his abilities, but you've gotta stretch to learn, I suppose. Which means I get to listen to a lot of repeated phrases (Crimson and Clover, Over and Over--or maybe It's a Small World, After All.)

I'm still hooked on Dimash Kudaibergen:

Daididau:

I thought it was funny when GretchenRed posted about her 14er climb recently. We were up at that altitude too this week, but we drove up. Much easier. I hadn't been up Pikes Peak for a long time; you kinda forget that top of the world experience. It overlooks Colorado Springs; I spent my time trying to pick out landmarks. My house is almost impossible to see. It's sorta behind a little ridge from up there--the area seems hilly when you're down in it, but from the top of PP, it just blends in with the rest.

Pikes Peak with city below:

And now (well, maybe sometime this morning) I'll go tackle taxes. You'll hear my voice floating in the wind, I promise, but it's not likely to be pretty.

I need a chicken fix.
Did you cook for your brother or did you go out to eat? Did you have to change your sleep schedule?

Nosy minds want to know!

Off to Tractor Supply I go. Chickie babies need food.

Pepper was a bad girl yesterday. She got into the trash and strung it everywhere! Bad girl!

Starting Sunday, you say?

We can start talking about you on Sunday?

modm Do you guys know how hard it is ---well I guess you do at least for other things -----to practice piano (even type this message) when a Doberman keeps putting her head under your hand and lifting up?

I suppose it does make it more challenging....too easy if not (ha!)

Seems she is telling me it is time to leave the room!

I hear ya MEL - I could never remember titles of songs much, unless I've heard it a lot.
- and with the 1000's of performers, I don't try to train myself to specific names of bands either
- while I like popular music, from the mid 1950's into the 1980's mainly
- I don't collect music and don't down load much either
- was never important enough, when I reHab'ed myself

So sometimes I also feel like a fish out of water // like when a few guys at work, use to talk non-stop on hockey / basket ball / football drafts & trades.
- and know all the names of the raw talent & everything about games played
(you know, boring stuff // but when they want to replace a family vehicle...they seek my opinion)
- so I've never really tried to fit in, on everything ...and that is fine

So do what I do, when the narrative doesn't always fit my preferences.
- change the subject // this is the "de-rail capital" thread on DT, after all

But Beau never gets tired...talking about vehicles, I've spent too many decades studying them....to gain knowledge, and make good choices.
- but unlike you Ma, I'd don't have a good ear for music / but still appreciate, the talent of others, around me
- sometimes, you just gotta wing it // we can't be good, in everything

See how I made myself look venerable, to pick up your spirits... what friends do !!

PS - we haven't heard a nice music video, of your son playing classical lately.
- go dust one off

Why? That is the Special, Factory, Plastic Honey Comb grill! It sucks spiffing it up. Gotta to poke every hole. My truck will never be clean again!

The cheap grills bug me on any new vehicle. I will let mine stay until it needs to be replaced. Then, I replace it with an easier one to clean, not a plastic one, either!

God willing, I will get another 10 years out of Guzaline.

And, I think we can do it!

That is how passionate I am about GM products.

Nice pic!

She's always camera shy but I guess I took too long in getting moving; Mocha loves her walks and wants to be on the move, not standing still, posing for pics I can totally understand that.
